This week's smiles....week 360

Week 360?  That's a lot of smiles isn't it?  Thanks to all who join in every week...you really do make the world a happier place.

I've had another happy week filled with smiles thankfully and have a few I can share with you...

Lulu is all packed up here ready to go on a skiing trip with her school....she left last Saturday and, from what I've heard, she's been having a wonderful time.

The twins have been taking it in turns to cook tea this week and love to send me pics of the progress....It all looks so yummy.

Last night we went to watch Sam in his school perfomance of Matilda....it was really brilliant.  I always love to see young people putting their hearts into their acting/singing.

Our garden is full of promise of what's to come...there are bulbs shooting up everywhere.  I love this time of year.

Of course I also have a few funnies so share with you.

Please leave me a little message so I know you've called in and, if you can, please link up to your smiles below.

This week's smiles.....week 334

Here we are at the last round up of smiles before Christmas day.  I had planned a much quieter week having thought that I had no work this week but fate had other ideas....Wednesday morning I had a customer who wanted 7 memory bears making.....yes 7!!! and if possible before Christmas.  So, my quiet week just got busy....but thankfully I have finished them all now [I put my knickers on the outside and Wonder Woman struck again :-) ].

We have had plenty to make us smile this week and I have a couple of photos I can share with you...

Amy sent me this photo of her three all dressed up ready to go out....they have grown up far too quickly and this photo really made me smile.

Wednesday night we went to a singing concert that Sam was performing in.  He sang a duet with a little girl of  'When I saw mummy kissing Santa Claus'.  It really was lovely....such proud Nanny moments.   He has such a lovely voice and it was the first time any one had heard him sing [even his Mummy cos he refuses to sing at home].

Of course it wouldnt be Friday without a few funnies....I hope something makes you smile.
Now all I have to do is to wish you all a very happy Christmas and I will 'see' you all when it's all over.  Hoping you all have a wonderful time.
Hugs,

This week's smiles ....week 332

It's been another week filled with smiles here at Sewing by Annie's...I'm so blessed.

Sunday evening we went to Theatre Severn to watch Lexi in the pantomine....she is one of the group of junior dancers and they were all wonderful.  It's so lovely seeing how she's grown in confidence and can now dance and sing and is no longer the smallest on the stage now :-)

Yesterdat was an L day here...Louie arrived in the morning for a fun day.  Late morning we had to collect Lexi from school so she could come here for lunch and to change before we then delivered her to the theatre for an afternoon performance of the pantomime. After an early tea we then went to church to watch Lulu in their school Carol Servive....she's in the school choir.  We really enjoyed our day....and slept well last night ;-)

It's not a very clear photo but we had decorated our Christmas tree at the weekend and when Louie walked into the sitting room on Tuesday morning he just said 'WOW'. :-)

Don't you just love the magic of Christmas through the eyes of a child?

He's not impressed with everything about Christmas though. hehehe

We took him to our local Charlies to see the singing Yetis and as you can see he wasn't impressed at all.  :-)

It wouldn't be a Friday without a few funnies....hope they make you smile.
Please leave me a message so I know you've called by and then link up to your own smiles at the bottom of the page.

WOYWW....

What a week it's been here at Sewing by Annie's.....not a spare minute was had :-) but I'm still smiling because I completed the very last bag full of factory trousers....all 40 pairs of them!!!  On top of that I have filled and emptied my 'to do rail' full of customer's sewing....I have no photos of any of that but I do have a few happy photos to share with you....

I finished the pair of patchwork cushions made for charity ...I showed you the fronts last week.

I sent a quilt, a rag doll and other items for a coffee morning to raise money for Breast cancer and in total they raised £1300...it was good to feel I helped.

The latest Harry Johnson trust sale raised £85 with the things Jo and I made....every little helps.

Saturday was another fun day with Phoebe and Lulu.  They asked if we could all make little frogs like the ones I made for Harry Johnson....of course they wanted to make ones to match their bedrooms....frogs do come in all colours you know :-)

We had a really fun afternoon and were joined by their Mummy and Great Aunty Jo for a while....lots of happy memories were made.

Lastly I am sharing my beautiful flowers one of my customers bought me....they were just too pretty not to share they with you.....I hope they make you smile too.

Yesterday was a Theo and Louie fun day and today is another Louie day....so I'm guessing there will be no sewing done.   I will do my best to pop over to yours once I've finished having fun :-)

This week's smiles.....week 515

So many weeks filled with smiles :-)  It's really good therapy to search out the smiles from the previous week and we can never have too many smiles can we?  Please feel free to join in by linking up to your happy posts....the more the merrier and everyone is welcome.

At the end of last week Phoebe and Lulu took part in the colour run at their school...they get covered in powder paints while they run around their school field and raise a lot of money for their school....the girls had a lot of fun doing it and there were lots of smiley, colourful faces.

At the weekend we went to Theatre Severn to watch the twins in My Son Pinocchio....it was a brilliant show with so many talented youngsters in it and it's so lovely to see their confidence growing with each show they are in....they played the parts of puppets and had to dance and mime etc.  Such proud Grandparents, Parents and other family members went to watch them.

The garden is continuing to make us smile each week...as one plant finishes blooming another takes over...I love it.

I will do my best to leave comments but may struggle as it's another weekend of adventure for us....this time near Buxton.

Of course it wouldn't be a Friday without a few funnies....I hope you've found something to make you smile.

Hugs,

This week's smiles....week 511

It's been another crazily busy week here at Sewing by Annie's....so much so that Wednesday morning I had had 4 customers before 9.30!!  I keep ploughing through my sewing though and love that every day has different challenges.  I have a few pics to share with you....

Lulu seems to have grown up so much since she become a teenager last month....here she is all ready to go to the school adventure camp at Arthog last weekend....and she had an amazing time :-)

The blooms in our garden seem to be bursting out everywhere we look....the crab apple blossom looked amazing when I took this pic but has already started to drop like confetti sadly.

Finally of course we have to finish off with a few funnies....and this week there seems to be rather a lot.  Hope you find something to make you smile.
Please leave me a little hello comment so I know you've called by and then link to your own smiles below.

WOYWW...

It's been one of those weeks for me.

At the end of last week this lot arrived...

Yes it's yet more factory trousers needing more zips and thanks to my wonderful hubby we managed to remove all the zips on Friday while I also got on top of lots of other sewing jobs.

There was yet more of them stacked on the other side of my sewing room....it was a huge bin bag full!!

By the end of Friday all the factory sewing was tucked away back in the bin bag ready to sew on Monday morning and three of my sewing machines were all set up ready for a fun class on Saturday.

On my cutting table I had ironed all my Christmas fabrics and put them ready too....can you guess who was coming and what we were going to make?

Yes it was Lulu and...

....Phoebe.  They are both able to use any of my machines now and are really keen to learn....bliss.

We chatted and giggled all afternoon.  By the end of the afternoon they had each made 11 bunting flags and we had put them all together.....

....and made a lovely long line of Christmas bunting for them to take home to their Mummy who is desperate to start decorating their house.

They are such lovely girls and even gave me a lovely smile each to show off their train tracks that they both have at the mo.

That was the up side of my week.  Sadly this is the downside.  On Friday night I started off with toothache and by Sunday I was in agony...paracetamol and Nurofen wouldnt touch it... so I had to go to an emergency dentist who thought I had an abscess and gave me antibiotics with instructions to see my own dentist on Monday. By Monday morning my face was swollen and when I went to see my dentist on Monday afternoon he confirmed the offending tooth and drilled it out and filled in then lanced the abscess for me...not an experience I ever want to repeat....boy was it painful!!  I now have 2 different courses of antibiotics and have to go back to my dentist on Thursday to see what will happen next....please keep everything crossed for me.

On top of all that of course I have a business to run and lots planned in readiness for the crop on Saturday....wish me luck folks.

this week's smiles....week 485

What an amazing week it's been here at Sewing by Annie's.  I have been head down sewing since we got back from our weekend away and have had more sewing in a week than I had in the whole month previous to that.....I love to be kept busy but, the last time I looked, there is still only 24 hours in a day and even I have have my limits.

Our little Milly has had her hair cut since we got back and she has enjoyed imitating a lizard soaking up the sun this week....it doesn't last long though because it's very hot again here and she soon finds somewhere cool to lie.

Amy sent me this photo of the girls this week.  They were shopping for fabrics in Hobbycraft and the thought of them choosing their own fabrics for their next sewing project just makes my heart sing.

Theo is away for a few days on a campsite with his little brother, mummy and his other Grandparents this week and he's learnt to ride his bike while he's been there...of course he had to send us a vidoe of it in action [we love sharing all their achievements].

Daphne puppy has learnt a new trick too this week....she can dig!!  I hope she quickly unlearns that for them but she does look rather cute lying with soil on her nose.

Our garden is so hot and dry at the mo...we are saving every drop of water we can to give our plants a drink but many of the flowers have suffered.

The sweetpeas keep coming and I am loving all the colours of them this year....only in the garden though as they are too strong in scent for me to have them in the house.

Of course it wouldn't be Friday smiles without a few funnies.  I hope at least some of them make you chuckle.

Please share your own smiles by linking up to them at the bottom of the page.  Everyone is welcome and it's so lovely to see new faces joining in the fun.

This week's smiles.....week 475

Happy Friday all. I really hope you're all enjoying the Jubilee weekend. I have a few smiles to share with you today...

I am really loving watching the independant love of sewing developing with Phoebe and Lulu.  They have both found a favourite T-shirt, that they had grown out of, and made themselves cushions to go in their bedrooms....I wonder who they take after?

This is the first of our strawberries starting to ripen...and this always makes me smile.

Our garden just keeps on giving...I love the gorgeous colours in every corner at the mo...and just know you will enjoy sharing them with us.

I have lots of funnies to share with you today...hope they make you smile.

I hope you all have a wonderful week filled with smiles and you will link up to yours below.

This week's smiles ....week 450

This is the 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas' post.  My Christmas cards are all made and now posted and everywhere is beginning to look festive so thos are the photos I'm sharing with you today...

Amy has always been the one of our three that has loved Christmas the most in our family and now she is spreading the love of it to her family too.  The Christmas trees [yes, more than one of course] are going up around their house and they love to make the most of all the Christmas events that they can.

Of course their two dogs like to join in and pose for their photos too....they are such lovely dogs and never like to miss out.

Of course, last year Covid got in the way but this year as always my little elves like to come to Nanny Annie's to decorate the tree and, as you can see Theo joined them this year.....Phoebe had decorated the top of the tree [because she's the tallest of course] and Theo is just putting the last few bits on here.

Phoebe, Lulu and Stephen have decided that this year [Like Nanny Annie of course] that they would use their sewing machine to make their Christmas cards....This really made me smile.

Finally but by no means least this is a gorgeous painting that Lulu did for her mummy and daddy to go in the unit where they work....isnt it lovely?

That's all from me for this week.  I hope at least something has made you smile and you will now share your own smiles by linking up below.

Hugs,

Annie x
