This week's smiles...week 382

I'm curious to see what my Friday post will look like now as they appear to have changed things again on blogger.  I struggled to find where to write a new post to start with...now I've found it but whether it's going to allow me to add photos and Mr Linky at the bottom may be a different matter but I'm going to try.

My smiles this week [up til now!] have been plentiful so I will try to share a few with you...

Lexi has started ballet lessons privately at home with her dance teacher...just look at these lovely poses from her. 😍😍😍

Last weekend Shell, Brent and twins had a few days down in Cornwall with family and they sent me these photos to share what a lovely time they were having down there.  😍😍😍

While Steve was at his football session Phoebe and Lulu wen't shopping with their mum and they wanted me to see they were wearing the masks I made them...I love that you can still see they are smiling by looking at their eyes. 😍😍😍

Amy sen't me these pics with the message...'Not a bad office eh?'  She does the office work /artwork for their banner printing business so had taken her laptop to their local park so the children could play in the sunshine while she worked....nothing stops her 😍😍😍

And for those that have been missing our garden pics here's a few of the latest....including our first tomato ripening, our peas [nearly ready to pick] and one of my orchids that is blooming it's little heart out at the mo.  I really do think nature is doing it's best to compensate for the difficult times we are going through at the mo.

I hope you have enjoyed my show and tell for this week.  I'm now going to try to add Mr Linky for you all to link up to but if I fail please just add your link in the comments....we wont let blogger beat us!!

WOYWW...

Hello all and happy Wednesday to you all.  I've had another week making a steady flow of face masks but it's really been one focussing on making School Memory Bears and reaching new targets with them so please excuse me for sharing a few numbers with you today.

  • Total numbers of Memory bears now made...365
  • Total numbers of Memory bears made since the beginning of lockdown....46
  • Total number of schools I've now made Memory Bears for.....28
And the latest ones I've made since last Wednesday are....

This one is for a school in Yorkshire.

This one was for a fairly local school but had to be posted as my customer was still shielding.

This was for a school the other side of Shrewsbury.

These three were for a family of girls leaving a school in Shrewsbury to move to other schools and because their friend saw them.....

....I had to make this one for their friend.

This is the latest bear I've finished and it's for a school in Telford.

All these 8 bears were made for schools I'd never made bears for before so I felt the need to write a list of all the schools I've ever made bears for.....

If youre interested this is the list of schools I've made bears for....including 3 I made for a school in Jordon.
You should be able to click on the list if you want a closer look :-)

I should have another bear to make today and I have 4 more coming next Monday...so they are keeping me busy....and I'm loving it.

This week's smiles....week 381

Oh wow that week has flown by.  We managed to get away in out motor home for a few days last weekend so there was much to smile about.  We went to a lovely campsite at Slimbridge just south of Gloucester....apart from the first night when it poured with rain all night the rest of the time the sun shone and we enjoyed many walks with little Milly.  Heres a few snaps to share with you...

We were close to the canal and were able to enjoy a glass or two while watching the life on the canal.

Amy, Dave and family had a couple of days down in Cornwall and I really love the photos they sent to us.

Lexi and Sam had a day out with their mum and dad at the West Midland Safari Park and the twins made a new friend. :-)

Steve has been missing his football training sessions during lockdown but they have now started up again....I think the smile on his face says it all don't you?

I always love to see the girls enjoying a baking session together...they are making cheese cakes for their daddy's birthday today.

That's all my shares for today.  If you can please leave me a little message so I know you've called by and then link up to your own smiles for the week below.

WOYWW.....

This is the one where I say sorry for being missing last week.....and yes I'm really sorry because I hate to miss out of my favourite day of the week but last week work really got in the way of having fun.  With the anouncement that from this Friday face masks would be mandatory in shops and enclosed places my world went crazy with orders.  Between 7 am on the Tuesday and 9.30 on the Wednesday I'd made and sold 110 masks!! ...hence why I couldn't join in last weeks fun.

I've also made these.....

These are just 5 of the Memory bears I have had orders for...many more are still on their way....and I'm loving the buzz.

There has been rather a lot of gorgeous fabrics bought from my friend Denise at Cabin crafts....this is just the one lot cos the second lot got cut up before I could take a photo sorry.

When you are making lots of face masks you just have to have lots of fabrics to make them with of course and I'm really loving using all these yummy fabrics to make them with.

And this is my desk this morning in full mask making mode.

We actually had the weekend away in our motor home...we both needed the break badly and it was so lovely to get back on the road again.  We went to Slimbridge, just south of Gloucester and had a really relaxing few days.

So, as you can see I've been very busy and I have lots more to come yet as I'm expecting about another 10 Memory bears [when they all turn up....probably all on the same day knowing my luck!!].

If you leave me a little message to let me know you've called in then I will do my best to pay you a return visit.

This week's smiles...week 380

Oh what a week it's been.  All was calm on Monday night when I went to bed but at 7am when I turned my Ipad on I had 12 customers in a queue wanting to order face masks following the news that they were being made compulsory in shops soon.  I worked nonstop all day Tuesday selling the masks I had available to the ones in the queue and making more and by bedtime on Tuesday there was a queue of 15 on my Sewing by Annie Facebook page!!  I was up early on Wednesday morning to make more masks and was selling all day until 9.30pm!!  From 7am Tuesday to 9.30 on Wednesday I had made and sold 102 masks....hence why I couldn't join in the WOYWW fun.

So I'm doing a quick round up of my smiles for you today...

My biggest smile was that I managed to get my hair cut....and yes I was feeling / looking pretty miserable with it long.

Amy had a friend round to tidy up the garden and, as Phoebe was in school, Lulu and Steve gave him a helping hand.   If you look closely in the right hand pic you will see that Molly dog is giving a hand too...she pulled a branch along side the children each time they went. :-)

Mark and Theo got their photos and a write up in our local paper this week...aren't they lovely photos?

The twins had a last day in school with their mummy this week having fun being pirates....I love their hats and eye patches. :-)

Lulu and Steve enjoyed a trip to pick strawberries this week. :-)
Yum yum

Finally here's a funny for this week.  Saw it and just had to share it :-)

Please leave me a little comment and then link to your own smiles below.

This week's smiles...week 379

Another week has passed and although it's been a rather cold and wet week I've still found lots to keep me smiling...but no garden flower pic as sadly many of them had suffered with the wet weather.....and it's been too wet to feel like going out to take pics. So this week my smiles are focussed on my family [and mostly of one certain young lady getting ready for her new life].

Amy's three have enjoyed their time together during lockdown and I really love this photo of them.

At the end of last week Phoebe had to go into school for her leavers picnic lunch and to collect her leavers hoody with her name on [pink of course].  Her school teacher spoke about each child in turn and what he said about Phoebe was really special so there have been many proud moments this week.

All three of them have had really glowing school reports this week too so this Nanny couldn't be more proud of them and the wonderful job their mummy and daddy have done to get them there.

Phoebe's new school uniform arrived this week and of course she had to try it all to show me....it only seems 5 mins since I took very similar photos of her mummy.

Oh how quickly time passes.  This was her first day at school and her last few days at the same school....she has grown up into one really lovely young lady...in side and out.

Theo has gone with his mummy and daddy for a few days in a caravan locally [not by the coast] and as you can see the campsite has made a 'beach' for the children to play....thankfully it stopped raining long enough for them to play on it.

My last photo is of one very soggy doggy.  She loves to sit by the patio doors looking out on the garden and then to run out to chase anything that moves....usually leaves or petals off the flowers this week!
She gets in all the wet shrubs and comes out soaked!....that's dogs for you :-)

I hope you have enjoyed my smiles this week and will share yours by linking up below.

Wednesday 8 July 2020

WOYWW...

Firstly I must say happy birthday for yesterday to our Queen of Snoop, Julia, without whom this Wednesday madness would have never started.  Really hope your day was filled with Cake, Gin and lots of spoiling because I'm sure you deserve it.

Now onto what's on my desk for this week...

I've had a steady flow of customers wanting face masks and this batch was a special order for one of our local removal firms....these are the first 5 and hopefully there will be an order for another 10 once the men aprove of them.

They had been wearing disposable masks but they were working out too expensive so they are replacing those with some washable ones with their initials on so they know who's is who's.

I've put a new zip in a pair of jeans for one customer and repaired a pair of leggings for another...all jobs I can do without them coming in for fittings.

I've also had a steady flow of Memory bears this week.  This purple one was for a really lovely young lady who was leaving Minsterley school to go to her secondary school....Minsterley was my junior school so this one was rather special to make.

This little school bear is for a child leaving the school local to us here and just like those buses...two come at once...

....same school, different customer and a different choice of ribbon around his neck.  I love that each one is slightly different.

I think I still have another 7 bears to come this week at some point so I will be kept on my toes with work.......and I love it  :-) :-)

I do my best to visit all who call in here each week but I'm finding there is always some I don't get to leave comments on so I'm really sorry ....work just sometimes often gets in the way but I promise I do try to visit you all.

This week's smiles...week 378

Happy Friday to you all.  It's been a week of change weatherwise here this week.  We had really hot days at the start but then it changed to much colder and some of my photos reflect this...

This was on one of the hot days when Amy and the children could make the most of their pool in their garden....they were enjoying a bit of snorkling and having fun....just what childhood should be filled with.

Lexi has been enjoying her singing and dancing...this time dressed as a fish....I think her mummy enjoys dressing her up and doing her face painting as much as Lexi enjoys the performance.  Her teachers record each child singing/dancing in their own homes then put them all together...technology is so clever and her teachers put in so much effort to make it all work.

This photo was sent me with a message...'The happy face of a little boy who has slept all night without his nappy.'
He looks so pleased with himself and I love that he wanted to share his acheivement with me.

Two doggy pics next....This one is Shell's, now nearly fully grown, Jet who was enjoying a cold damp towel on a really hot sunny day....black isn't a good colour on the very hot sunny days.

Of course our little Milly has now been clipped and when the temperature dropped this week she was more than happy to snuggle under her blanket...hope you recognise the blanket Lynn, she loves it :-)

And finally, for those that enjoy our garden blooms, here some of the latest making us smile this week.  We have something popping up in every corner of our garden and we get so much pleasure from each and every one so it would be selfish to not share some of them with you.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today and will now leave me a little comment before sharing what's been making you smile this week.

WOYWW...

Here we are again at out Wednesday catch up with our friends sharing our desks. ....if you want to know more then pop over to Julia's at The Stamping Ground where you will find details of how to join in the fun....we're a very friendly bunch and you will be made very welcome.

I'm still selling face masks but the demand is less now so I just make a few as and when needed to keep my basket topped up.

I've had more orders for more Memory bears and still have several more coming soon so it's keeping me out of mischief....well almost ;-)

I love getting orders for my School Memory bears....I should keep a tally of the school I've made them for really because there's many, near and far now.

This one was a new school to me and is for a little boy on the Wirral.  I love this one with his school tie...I reduce the ties to fit the bears.  He's now headed off to meet his new owner who says he will show his friends to see if they would like one too :-)

As requested by Neet [really hope your leg is healing well] I have now made 352 Memory bears now and I only started making them on 3rd August 2016! ....not bad eh?  There's a bit of Annie's love all around the world now too.

The only other things on my desk today are these three new little pairs of scissors.....I have loads of scissors but, with all the use they get here, they go blunt and never really sharpen well so these will replace some I use all the time....they all have different uses :-)

That's me for this week.  If you leave me a little message I will do my best to pay you a return visit....there were a couple I didn't manage to leave messages for last week but I did pay you all a visit.
Hugs,
Annie x
