This week's smiles....week 486

It's been another really lovely week here at Sewing by Annie's.  I meet so many lovely people during my working day and that makes me smile every day.  I have a few pics to share with you...

A lot of our garden plants have suffered a little with the hot weather but this gorgeous gladioli has been making me smile...it's such a gorgeous bright colour.

This gorgeous little man never fails to make me smile....he seems to grow and change every day.

He is being Christened this weekend and will be surround by a lot of family and friends to help him celebrate...there may be a few photos next week.

For family events I'm usually put in charge of making quiches....I love making them and they are always very popular.

These are....

  • Ham, tomato and feta cheese
  • Caramelised onion and cheddar cheese
  • Salmon and feta cheese and
  • Mushroom and blue cheese
I like to make them a day or two in advance and to cut them up the morning of the event once they are well chilled.

As always I have a few funnies to share with you and this week I have a few different ones that I couldn't fit on a collage so I've uploaded them seperately.

I hope you find something to make you smile and will link to your own smiles at the bottom.
Hugs,
Annie x

How wonderful that Louie will be christened this weekend. He already looks so mature. Your quiches look wonderful. I love feta cheese, but it is so expensive here, you have to decide if you want to use it or pay your house payment this month. SLIGHT exaggeration, but still . . . .

Loved the funnies. Although I mostly sew paper to paper, I can truly relate to that bobbin. That lady with the cockroach found a good way to get help around the house. Have a super rest of Friday and a great weekend, dear.

And the quiches, hmmmmm!
Do you care for sharing recipes?

Botox!!! I should insert that into my arms! Stings all over.
Good advice with the cockroach!!
Oh. My glasses are the prob! ;-)

I just read your comment, Annie. Technically, Rose of Sharon is considered a shrub, I believe.

Little Louie is gorgeous. Wonderful that they are having his christening this weekend. Big family do. Your quiches look lovely. You have given me some new ideas for fillings (as I love to make quiches too). Would you share the ingredients for the filling? I'm looking forward to seeing photos next week of the christening.
Your funnies got me giggling. I had heard the one about the cockroaches before and I think it is a brilliant idea. Must try that...
Have a lovely weekend with your family,
Hugs,
Lisca

Your little fellow is changing so fast. I hope all goes smoothly for his Christening. Have a lovely family day.
You have madea good variety of quiche there. I only go for the cheddar and onion one but Chris loves it so I do make it quite often.
I love the bright gladioli. It makes a real statement amongst all the greenery.
Your funnies made me smaile as usual.
Enjoy your week. Kate x

Hi Annie, I'm back. Walked dogs and been to Hairdressers think a bit of housework might be next. Apparently I am guilty of tutting at some of your funnies but they did make me smile. The Quiches look good. How did we ever manage before they became popular, they must be at every party you go to. Hope the Christening goes well and you all have a great time. Hugs, Angela xXx
