This week's smiles...week 400

Wow!! 400 happy posts.  How blessed are we to have had enough smiles to celebrate 400 weeks?  Keep up the good work folks and a huge thank you to all those that join in each week.

My smiles this week have been many...I've had a busy week with sewing this week and that always makes me smile.....I'm in the middle of making 5 Memory bears for a lady from Cornwall....now that really is something to smile about isn't it?

Gina has set Theo's play room up as Santa's Workshop and, as you can see, he's having lots of fun dressed up as one of the elves helping Santa.  :-)

The twins have had their annual visit from Bob, their elf on the shelf and he, his wife Betty and their friends have been up to mischief as usual....here's a few pics of what they have been up to this year so far....

So much fun is being had by all :-)

And what have we been up to?  This our latest Wasgij jigsaw.  It was called 'The Full Monty' and we had to make the picture of what the lady on the front of the box could see!!  We have certainly had a giggle making this one even though it did feel a little strange when we realised the finished jigsaw had bare bums on the picture. :-)

I hope it's made you smile too.

Please share your smiles for the week by linking them below and keep up the good job of making the world a happier place.

WOYWW...

Hello all I have a little bit of Nanny Annie madness on my desk to share with you this week.  Every year the twins have a visit from Bob their Elf on the shelf during December so this year he has visited Nanny early so he [and all his friends] can be fitted out with different outfits. ....

Bob arrived on Monday and helped me make 6 little face masks so he and his friends will be safe from the virus.

Do bear in mind I have no patterns for any of his outfits and they really just come out of my wild imagination.

He came with several requests.  The first of which was a gingerbread man outfit.

He then asked for a snowman outfit so out came the white felt. A hat, a bit of ribbon and a couple of buttons and hey presto!

Next was a kilt for him and a couple more for two of his friends.  He rather liked this one.

He then asked me to make a grass skirt for his wife Betty as a surprise for her.  She could really do with a top made out of a couple of shells but I haven't found any as yet.....update...I've found some and now just need to work out how to make a top with them lol.

Finally he asked for a doughnut outfit so of course out came the seeding beads....yes I'm mad but I know it will put a smile on the twins faces.

The other thing I was asked to make was a tiny dog's bed because apparently Bob is bringing his new puppy with him this year too :-)

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and I've left you smiling.  We need smiles more than ever at the moment so why not find a few smiles and join in on Friday when I find smiles to share with you all.

Hugs,

This week's smiles....week 301

Here we are catching up with the weekly smiles.....I will be absent this Friday so have posted automatically so everyone can link up but I may not be able to leave you comments for a few days....but I will be reading your posts on my Ipad so please link them up below.

My smiles are all Christmas related this week.  My family have been enjoying early celebrations.....

Amy and gang enjoyed a weekend in Whitby with friends and these 5 are just the best of friends....it's so lovely to see them enjoying time together.....and I really love their matching onsies.

Here they are playing 'pass the snowball'.....don't ask.  I really don't know how to play it but I know they enjoyed it.

Here they are colouring in the Christmas table cloth....what fun :-)

Michelle and gang moved houses last weekend and even in all the chaos Bob and Betty elves turned up on Dec 1st and this year they have brought their cousin Buster with them for fun and games each night.

When you're a teacher you just have to go that extra mile for the kids in your class and this is Shell playing Rudolph one of the days this week.  What fun eh?

That's my smiles for this week.  I will catch up with your all as soon as I can this week.

WOYWW....

Well?  Did you miss me?  I was AWOL last week enjoying a few days away with family at Centre Parcs.....and a fab time was had by all :-)

So? What's on my desk today?....

 Yes....it's a Christmas wrapping station.  :-)

....and every surface is covered in wrapped parcels but I shall be working today so these will all have to be hidden away in the spare bedroom for now.

Some of you may remember last year Shell and the twins had Bob the elf move in for December and all the antics he got up to?  Well, this year he has brought his girlfriend Betty with him and here are a few pics of what they have been up to.

Of course Nanny Annie likes to play along so yesterday morning I spent some time making outfits for the mischievous pair....[Bob and Betty of course not the twins! :-) ].

....and on my desk you can see 2 mermaid tails, 2 ballet tutus, a nurses outfit and some troll wigs I've made for them....as you do!  :-)

That's all from me for today.  I just want to say Happy Christmas to one and all and wish you all you wish for yourselves for 2017 but first and foremost that it's a happy and healthy one for you all.

This week's smiles.....week 157

Well, here we are at yet another Friday....where does the time go?  This is the time of the week that I like to look back to see what has made me smile over the last week and, as always, there has been many reasons to smile for me.

First I would like to say a big thank you to all who joined in last week...there seemed to be many chuckles around and my featured post was Elizabeth's share of the Simon's cat video....these always make me chuckle so thank you Elizabeth for sharing this one with us.

I thought you'd like a couple of snaps of what I've been helping the twins to do this week....I love to see them crafting and they seem to really enjoy making things now.....

Just look at the concentration while Lexi puts all her tiny pieces on her mosaic to make her little dog....she used a pair of plastic tweezers to put most of them in place and amazed us all at her dexterity....not bad for a 4 year old eh?

Sam is left handed and struggled to make his car using the tweezers but he put every tiny little piece in with his fingers.  :-)

For those that don't know what they are....once all the pieces are in place they are then covered with baking parchment and ironed with a hot iron to melt the plastic beads together to make a mat.

I thought this pic might also make you smile.  Shell asked me to adapt her elf ready for next Christmas. and as you can see he now has a girlfriend. I inserted pipe cleaners into their arms and legs to make them more poseable and inserted strong magnets into their hands so they can hold on to anything metal and hold hands.  I sent this pic to Shell with the caption.....'Don't worry I will save you....I wont let Annie operate'  :-)

I hope I've made you smile today and you will now link to your own smiles below.....Please cos it really does make the world a happier place for us all.

This week's smiles....week 151

I hadn't planned to do a Friday post today but I knew there would be a few wanting to link up so I thought I'd upload the last of the Elf on the shelf pics before he heads off back to the North Pole for another year.  He's been such a little monkey and has got up to a lot of mischief during the month but each day he has left the twins a festive activity to do and they have been as good as gold because they knew he would be reporting back to Santa each night [so he's done a brilliant job ;-) ].

Feel free to click on the collage if you'd like a closer look.  The twins knew they mustn't touch him all month or he would have lost his magic but have been allowed to give him a cuddle and say thank you for all he's left each day before he disappears tonight......and I believe he is leaving them a book tonight with lots of photos in so they can remember all his adventures this year.

I hope you have enjoyed the fun we have all had with Bob the Elf.  It just leaves me to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year and with one last smile with a pic of Santa and his Little Helper....

Thanks for calling in and for all the lovely comments and photos you've linked up over the last year to make the world a happier place.
Hugs,
Annie xxxx

This week's smiles......week 150

Here we are at another weekly catch up with our smiles.  Many thanks to all who joined in last week.....life just wouldn't be the same without you all so please keep up the good work.

I am featuring Lisca's post from last week....the postcard with the little Siberian girl really had me chuckling....that really is food on the move.  I just hope she didn't eat them all at once.  Thanks for sharing Lisca.

My smiles this week have been many, as always, and here are a couple of snaps to share with you....

Here's the twins all dressed up in their party gear ready for their play school party.  They sang songs for all the mummies and daddies and had a visit from the big man in a red coat....and this one came with his own guitar to play for them. :-)

There has been a lot of Christmas magic for all the little ones and here are Amy's three visiting Father Christmas at Hawkstone Park.....I love to see the wide eyes of all the little ones :-)

And for those following Bob the elf's antics here he is with this week's mischief.  He spent one night out in the Wendy house and then had to come in for a hot chocolate the next night!  He was caught using Sam's helicopter to pinch mince pies! He had a snowball fight, a night fishing in the goldfish tank, put eyes on everything in the fruit basket and even made a snowman with toilet rolls one night!!
What adventures he's having and he's causing so many giggles....we babysat last night and he seemed to be watching me knitting so who knows what he will be up to tonight ;-)

That's all from me for this week so please leave me a little comment so I know you've called by and if you can please link up your own smiles below.
Hugs,

This week's smiles....week 149

Here we are at another catch up of our smiles from the last week.  Many thanks to all who joined in again last week.  I do so enjoy seeing all that makes you smile each week so please keep up the good work.

I am featuring Angela's post over at Felix the Crafty Cat from last week with her fab photos of Santa with real reindeers.....aren't they gorgeous?  Thanks for sharing Angela.

I am sharing Bob the Elf's adventures from this last week.  He's such a little monkey.  He was caught by Buzz Lightyear and Woody trying to take the baubles off the Christmas tree and had to be restrained.  He had been over here to Sewing by Annie's one night and taken my Mitzy Monkey with him and the two of them were found on a festive swing the next morning.  He's been found covered in stickers, impersonating Spiderman and has found several places to sleep.  What fun he is having!!

We were lucky enough to get to see Phoebe and Lulu in their school Christmas plays again this year.  Little Lulu was the lead roll in hers, being the Inn Keeper and even had to sing a solo [tissues came in handy!].  Phoebe was one of the ladies who had travelled from the east and her dancing was simply full of Eastern Promise....I would say her dancing was the best by far [but of course I am rather biased].
We were so very proud of them both and came away glowing.

Every morning Bob the Elf has left something for Sam and Lexi to make/do each day and here you can see them busy crafting......

....and here you can see Sam very proudly showing off what they each made.  What  lovely nativity scenes they both made.

I really love seeing all my little grandchildren being creative.

That's all I have to share with you today.  Please share your smiles by linking them up below and I will do my best to pop over to check them out ASAP.
Thanks for your efforts to make the world a happier.
Hugs,
Annie x
