This week's smiles...week 400

Wow!! 400 happy posts.  How blessed are we to have had enough smiles to celebrate 400 weeks?  Keep up the good work folks and a huge thank you to all those that join in each week.

My smiles this week have been many...I've had a busy week with sewing this week and that always makes me smile.....I'm in the middle of making 5 Memory bears for a lady from Cornwall....now that really is something to smile about isn't it?

Gina has set Theo's play room up as Santa's Workshop and, as you can see, he's having lots of fun dressed up as one of the elves helping Santa.  :-)

The twins have had their annual visit from Bob, their elf on the shelf and he, his wife Betty and their friends have been up to mischief as usual....here's a few pics of what they have been up to this year so far....

So much fun is being had by all :-)

And what have we been up to?  This our latest Wasgij jigsaw.  It was called 'The Full Monty' and we had to make the picture of what the lady on the front of the box could see!!  We have certainly had a giggle making this one even though it did feel a little strange when we realised the finished jigsaw had bare bums on the picture. :-)

I hope it's made you smile too.

Please share your smiles for the week by linking them below and keep up the good job of making the world a happier place.

This week's smiles...week 395

It's been one of those weeks when I've had to go searching for smiles to share because I've had an UTI and it's taken the wind out of my sails for a few days.  It wasn't helped that when I rang our surgery they said they had had a few cases of Covid there and were very short staffed so I took myself off to the chemist instead.  They gave me treatment but said if things didn't improve I should contact the surgery again for antibiotics....they didn't help much sadly so I did as I was told and now have antibiotics...fingers crossed they do the job soon.

So here's my round up of smiles I can share...

We have completed the jigsaw puzzle I was given for my birthday...the lovely thing has been that each of the grandchildren has done a bit when they have visited.

You will notice the top pic is what was on the box but the actual jigsaw was of what happened next so very different to the pic....it was real fun to do.

We have a new little fur baby in the family.  Meet Betsy...she is actually Poppy's half sister....same mum but black lab was her dad.  She's just gorgeous and has already settled in very well.

Hubby treated  us to the local theatre last Friday to see The Secret garden film.  As you can see they had put crosses on all the seats not to be used to keep us all socially distanced.  There were far more crosses than people but it was so lovely to go out and feel very safe.  It was a brilliant film too.

This is Phoebe sitting at the desk her mum and dad have bought her for her birthday today....she's 12!!!

Looking very grown up too don't you think?

This is my last pic for this week ...just to make you giggle.  Milly really doesn't like fireworks and I've seen that putting a chopped off sock over their ears helps reduce stress.  This was actually her little jumper folded back on itself and it did seem to help....but she was having none of it of course and it was back off 5 minutes later.

I hope you are all staying safe and well and will share your smiles by linking up below.

WOYWW....

Happy New Year to all my wonderful blogging friends.  The end of 2018 threw our family a few challenges and I felt the need to take a break and concentrate on what was important.  It was a difficult time but we are a strong family and we are now looking towards 2019 for happier times and good health for us all.  I would like to thank those who supported us from a distance...you know who you are....I'm so lucky to have such good friends.

I had a really busy last few weeks leading up to Christmas with orders for my Memory bears [I like to be kept busy at difficult times] so here's a collage of some of them....

Also I promised to show you pics of the finished shark onesie I made for Mooshie rabbit...

As you can see he's very proud of the onesie but as he was just modelling it for the original Rabbit I also made Mooshie his own pair of dungarees to wear.

I imagine there was one very happy little boy on Christmas morning.  :-)

My chuckle for you today is the jigsaw Shell bought us for Christmas.  We normally do a jigsaw over Christmas but this one was a real challenge!

I never did like sprouts and I like them a lot less now :-) :-) :-)

That's all from me for today.  Here's hoping 2019 brings you all everything you wish for yourselves.

This week's smiles....week 293

It's been one of those weeks when it's been good to focus on things that have made me smile because my sciatica has done it's best to drag me down....and I'm not letting it win!

My happy parcel that arrived on Monday really helped to lift my mood thankfully but I've also managed to find lots that has made me smile this week too so here's a few snaps for you....

The sun has shone and little Milly has been soaking up the rays....it's not surprising my garden plants have a flattened appearance is it?

Saturday afternoon saw me being tied up to play a game with Sam and Lexi....they thought it really funny that the timer was running out so Nanny was supposed to blow up!  I now know how the bodyguard felt  :-)

Sam has been awarded his Beavers necktie this week for achieving all his challenges.

Tuesday afternoon was my time to look after little Theo....it never fails to amaze me just how quick he learns how to do new challenges.  He loves jigsaws.

This is Steve opening one of his birthday presents....it's his birthday today.  It doesn't seem 7 years since he was nearly born in the car on the hospital car park!!

Happy birthday gorgeous boy xxxx

I hope you have enjoyed my smiles  for this week and will leave me a little comment before leaving a link to your own smiles.

This week's smiles....week 253

Well......there is was, gone.  No sooner than Christmas was coming than it's been and gone and so has the New Year celebrations so life can return to normal for another year.

So here we are on the first Friday of 2018 and I'm thankful that life is still giving me plenty to smile about.  Here you go......

Milly is sat watching us doing the Christmas jigsaw....yes she likes to sit on a stool up at the table so she doesn't miss out on the fun!

Amy's three children were late finishing school before Christmas so are later than most going back after the holidays and have been enjoying this week with their mum.

Phoebe wanted to make some cakes so she has, all by herself weighed and measured the ingredients and made a really yummy batch of buns......Amy was proud that she was able to make them and I was even prouder because her mummy had spent the time with her to teach her so she could do it.  Just look how she decorated them too.....well done Phoebe.

Lulu was given a kit to decorate your own birdhouse for Christmas and she has had a lovely time decorating and making it....here she is proudly showing it off to me.

They were given some money for Christmas and, as a special treat, Amy took them to a local build a bear factory for them to choose and make their own special furry friend.

Well that's my smiles for this week.  Leave me a little comment so I know you've called by and, if you can, then please link up to your own smiles below.

WOYWW....

Here we are at the first Wednesday desk share of 2018 so I would like to wish you all a really Happy New Year and let's hope we can all enjoy our sharing for another year.....it's such a wonderful way of making friends [many of which I've now met in real life].

So onward quickly to see what's on my desks today....

For those asking if we have finished our jigsaw here it is all done and it's now back in it's box so we can now eat at the table again....but I will say that we have put a cloth over the top while it was in the doing so we could eat there too.

We have been doing a bit of ice cream making over the holiday too.  I bought my hubby a machine for Christmas because he loves ice cream.  This was a vanilla ice cream with broken oreo biscuits churned into it and was really yummy.....if you want the recipe then please just shout.

My little granddaughters had 18" dolls for Christmas so I have bought a couple of patterns to make a few clothes for them....this one arrived quickly so....

....I've spent a little of my free time cutting out the 31 paper pattern pieces ready to get started making.

That's all from me for this week.  I shall be busy making Memory bears this week as I have a special offer over on my Facebook and already have several wanting to take up the offer to benefit.  Have a great week my friends.

WOYWW...

Oh dear....I'm late, I'm late for a very important date.  It was a case of it was Christmas Day then Boxing Day......Oh no It's Wednesday!!!  I wonder how many other of you have been caught out this week by not knowing what day it was?

So as my desk hasn't been touched all week and my sewing room has only been used and a Christmas parcel wrapping station I am showing you the kitchen table where we have been playing this week....

It's the compulsory Christmas jigsaw.  It's a 1500 piece jigsaw that's too big to be done on the coffee table in the living room so, as you can see, there will be no eating done at the table until it's finished....and that may be a while!

So there you go.  I'm not sure it's what you came here to see but I didn't want to miss out on the fun.  I hope your Christmas was magical and here's hoping 2018 brings you all everything you wish for yourselves.  Happy New Year to you all and lets hope we can all enjoy another wonderful year of fun and friendship.

WOYWW....

Hello to all my wonderful blogging friends.  So many of you joined in with my Friday's happy post this week and many more left me really special comments....trust me when I say I really do appreciate all your love and support....hopefully the house moving saga will be coming to the end soon so I have been working hard to finish the second stress busting, knitted quilt this week....

The finished one is on the back of the chair and the second one just needs the last little bit of purple border doing to finish it.....I've really had enough stress to last me a while so am hopeful this time our sale goes through uneventfully.

I had my little twinnie munchkins yesterday and have them again today so have no more crafty pics to show you this week.  They are both full up with really miserable chesty colds so we have had lots of cuddles and many quiet times with...

Lexi is putting the spots on the ladybird on one of the quiet book pages I made for them.....they all get lots of playing with so every minute making them was well spent.

Sam loves his jigsaws and has spent hours doing them over and over again.

They both know almost all their letters so jigsaws become real fun searching out their favourites...Here's Lexi showing you J for Josie jack-in-the-box :-)

I bought several of these scribble travel toys for £1 each and I have to say they have been the best money spent....all 5 of my grandies love them and here is Sam showing off the octopus he's just drawn.

As you can see we have really fun days with all sorts of activities and my desk today will be full of more of the same as they are here for an extra day this week.
If you leave me a little hello message I will pay you a visit either later today or tomorrow depending on how exhausted I am after playing :-)

Hugs,
Annie x

This week's smiles....week 60

Hello all...are you still smiling?  My motto is 'why not smile?'  Even when all around you looks pretty bleak a smile will still make you feel better so give it a go.....and you know smiles are contagious so not only will you feel better but it will improve someone else's day too.  :-)

Thanks to all of you who joined in the fun last week....I really enjoyed so many giggles and smiles by sharing your posts.
Thanks girls for sharing them all with us....I'd really like to feature all that joined in but those were my favourites for this week.

I've had a week of poorly family members this week.  Shell has had tonsillitis and was really rough so I've had the twins to give her a chance to rest and recover as the Dr decided it was a virus and wouldn't give her antibiotics.  Pool little Lexi is rough with as she calls it a 'snotty nose nanny!' and now has swollen glands and a cough so is also feeling pretty miserable.

Even through all this we have still had lots to smile about...

I keep a look out in our local charity shops for new jigsaws and this week I managed to pick up a 100 piece one for aged 6+ with nursery rhymes characters all over it.  Needless to say the twins can already do it and can also recite most of the nursery rhymes on it  :-)

They really love their jigsaws and it's so special to see them working together to complete them.  The conversations are just priceless between them while they are doing them too.

So many happy moments shared.  :-)

The other pic I'm sharing is one of my gorgeous tulips.  I just love spring flowers don't you?
I now have daffodils and tulips in a vase too given to me by my little munchkins and their mummy for helping out this week....more to smile about eh?

Thanks for dropping in this week to share my happy post.  Please snap something that has made you smile this week and share yours by linking below.
