This week's smiles....week 456

Here we are at another Friday's catch up with all the smiles from the week...and there's been many although we are both still fighting off the Winter bugs....a day at Colwyn Bay on Tuesday does seem to have helped so we're keeping everything crossed.

Kate asked last week if I was winging my crochet baby blanket to here's the proof I am actually using a pattern....It's one I found on Pinterest Kate.  I must be honest and say I am making my own version in parts but I'm loving it and am now working on the edges.

My daughter-in-law Gina has really become hooked on her crochet and is going from strength to strength now with a new 'make' on a daily basis.  I'm so proud of her.

Theo was allowed to go back to school on Wednesday having had two negative Covid tests...it's so good to see him looking better.

Finally I saw this on Facebook and it made me chuckle...hope it does you too.

Please leave me a little message so I know you've called by and if you can please link up to your own smiles below....we really can't have too many joining in the fun and everyone is welcome.

Hugs,

Annie x

Glad you were able to get away for a day and I hope that bug goes soon, too. I hope your voice is back. I've coughed that hard before, too.

Gina and Theo are looking much better and Gina's crochet is amazing for just learning. She is a natural, I'm sure. BTW, that pattern you shared might as well have been in Chinese, because it made no sense to me. I hope it does to Kate.

Got a laugh at the note to self. Had to laugh at # 7. They were all cute, though. Hope you have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend, Annie.

I hope Lisca is OK. Graham, too. She normally posts by now.

Well done Annie. For the shawl I am making (see today's post) I am working from a chart for the first time. I usually prefer written patterns as I have always worked that way, but I think this may have lost something in translation and the written instructions are not so clear, so I turned to the chart and it has made it so much easier. But your chart looks quite complicated. I have a huge folder on my computer of patterns I have spotted and saved for another day. I don't think I have enough 'days' left to make them all but I still keep adding to them.
Gina has certainly got the crochet bug now. She is doing so well.
I am glad Theo is better. Now you need to shake those winter bugs out of your system.
Your list from facebook really made me smile. It is spot on. Kate x

Pleased everyone is picking up again. Looks like someone is going to have a business making those gorgeous hats. Your funnies are brilliant, the only one that doesn't fit me is the headphones.....maybe I should get some Lol! Have a lovely weekend. Off walking dogs now but back later to see what everyone else has been up to. Hugs, Angela xXx

Sorry for posting late. I usually post at midnight. I thought I-d pressed the button, but obviously I hadn't.
I am impressed with Gina's crochet skills. She is making some great stuff, and you are obviously doing great with the baby blanket. Will you show us next week?
Wonderful that you have been able to go out with the 'van'. Colwyn Bay is beautiful. I have been there.
I'm so glad Theo is feeling better. He looks his good old self again. Cheeky grin and all.
I'll be away all day today as we are going into town to see the surgeon for Graham and we have to get some plumbing supplies (don't ask!)
I hope your voice improves after all this coughing.
Have a lovely weekend,
Take care,
Hugs,
Lisca

Thanks for sharing all the photos today, Annie. Theo looks ready for school with his uniform and beautiful smile. Gina really has cracked the mysteries of crochet- something that eludes me still. Hope you can use the moho more if the weather stays fine. Happy weekend.
