WOYWW...

Well that's all come round very fast and here we are catching up with the WOYWW gang for the last time before the big day.  I've got a few pics to share with you quickly...

These are the last 2 sets of Memory bears/rabbits I've made in time for Christmas.
The pink ones were made from a Grandma's favourite cardigan.....

....and these two were made from a Grandad's coat and wooly hat....it's surprising what you can do when you try.

They were all made from clothes that belonged to loved ones who were lost in the last year and each family member can now have a little reminder of them on Christmas day.

Catriona sent me the pattern to make a different style of face mask and they are the most comfy ones I've made so, as we will be needing masks for a long time yet, I've made us a few .....one to wash, one to wear and one spare each.

Finally, I've found time to marzipan and ice the Christmas cake and enjoyed a special few hours in front of the telly to make this pretty new Christmas fairy for the top of our tree.

There been lots of time spent with the special little people in our family and there's plans to make more memories too [Covid allowing] so I will just say that I wont be blogging now until next Wednesday [No Friday post this week] and I would like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2022.

Hugs,
Annie x

Love the new Christmas fairy, she’s very pretty and even nicer that you had the pleasure of making her! I agree, those design masks are the most comfy and are pretty good at not fogging up glasses. Hope you and the family have a wonderful Christmas, thanks for all the friendship and support over the past year, let’s hope 2022 is brighter for us all.

Sadly i can't see the mask wearing stopping any time soon. That is for the ones who can be bothered to wear them! Enough said on that!
Lovely sewing as always.

What lovely little memory bears (and rabbit), and what great comfort you must be giving people, especially with such recent losses. I find the little Grandad label very poignant. I do love your little fairy for the top of the tree, very cute and sparkly. I hope you have a very happy and peaceful Christmas with your family, stay safe and well,

Hi Annie, you're the only person I know who could do so much with a man's hat!
The bears/rabbit are beautiful and will bring a lot of comfort, as hoped, to the recipients this Christmas. Your face masks are great. I'm not the happiest mask wearer, my glasses always steam up no matter what style I wear. However, anything is better than taking the chance of spreading that nasty virus. You're doing well to have not only baked the cake but iced it too ... me, I don't like Christmas cake enough to even try. Your fairy is so pretty too - her little face is so cute. Enjoy the break and we will see you again next week. Happy Christmas. Hugs to you both. Ellie x #22

Wishing you and your family a lovely time together at Christmas! I hope you can put your feet up a little - you've been working way too hard! xx zsuzsa #21

That phrase Annie; one to wear, one spare and one in the wash…..a mantra for boarding school uniforms, really took me back! Looks like a good mask pattern, is it good with glasses? My Ma in Law doesn’t cope with the fogging up thing at all well, sort of makes every trip out a bit miserable, so always on the look out for alternatives! Give that Doddy a big hug and have yourselves a wonderful Christmas. And a bit of a holiday! Xxxxxx

Adore your tree fairy, really special and the bears/rabbits too. The mask pattern looks good, really ought to make myself a new one for the New Year although I do have 3 already and don't go out much to wear them. Have a Happy Christmas, hugs BJ#13

Hello Annie. Love the fairy.
Excuse lateness of reply. I felt unwell yesterday and ended up at GP surgery today. Water infection and on antibiotics. Have a lovely Christmas. Anne x 16

I've seen your bears before of course but every time you post a pic, it's special! The masks look nice and yes, we probably will be wearing them for a long time as Covid is here to stay I'm afraid (we're in lockdown again in the Netherlands right now.)I wish you and all your loved ones Merry Christmas and a wonderful, healthy and creative New Year!
