WOYWW....

It's been a week of partying and celebrations here for me.... My 60th was on Monday and it's my son Mark's 30th birthday today.  I've been spoilt rotten and we still have a 80s/90s fancy dress party for my son to come yet.

I had party with all my family and many of my close friends last Sunday tea time and I was made to feel very special....many thanks to all who sent me cards and birthday messages.  I'm sharing the gorgeous oil painting my hubby had done for me of a certain little special friend of mine....simply because I love it and know many of you will appreciate the talent of the artist....he's a local artist called Andy McIntyre of McIntyre Studios and I must say he is one very talented man.  He's not only got a perfect likeness but he's managed to get her character into the painting....

I'm also sharing the gorgeous flowers my youngest daughter and her hubby sent me....because they are just too gorgeous to keep them all to myself....they are just all my fav colours.

There's not a lot on my desk this week because as you can imagine I've not had a lot of time for sewing but.....

I did make these new design tooth fairy pillows on Monday as a special request and have already sold two of them and....

...having had a visit from two very special little brownies yesterday I will be sewing their badges on today.

So there you go....I've shown you mine now if you leave me a little comment to say you've called by I will do my best to pop over to see what you've been up to this week.
Hugs,

WOYWW....

Hello all.  Here we are at our Wednesday catch up with a lot of creative desks from all round the world.

First I will share my desk for this week...

I've been busy making a new batch of my tooth fairy pillows....here they are in the making......

....and here they are all completed.  They are proving very popular and the new design is a special request....the Hulk!

Then as promised here is what I was working on last week....

I've been making the apple shapes into mug rugs suitable for teacher's gifts.  I'm not sure you can read the poem I wrote to go with it at the top but it's enough said that I had a couple of sleepless nights with poetry buzzing round my head to write it. 😄😄😄

The other show and tell for those interested it what was in the foil box on the shelf last week.  It was found in a box when we emptied a few more and they are all things I made many years ago but are still waiting for mounts and frames! ......

Two embroideries needing circular mounts....yes those really are lots of french knots in the pic on the left to make the paving slabs!

One of the many cross stitch pics I designed of our old house.

A cross stitch pic of one of my fav poems.....from back in 1996!!!

Two little characters I cross stitched that are still waiting framing....they are from the Usborne books stories about Apple Tree farm.

There you go.  Maybe I should get them framed eh?

Thanks for calling by this week. If you leave me a little message to let me know you've called by and I will do my best to pay you a return visit.  I must apologise for those I didn't leave comments on last week. Google+ blogs won't let me comment and several others weren't playing nicely for me.

WOYWW....

Hello to you all on this cold frosty morning here in Shrewsbury. Brrrrrrr yes I'm glad to be inside warm and cosy today.  I'm guessing you have come from Julia's to see what I've got on my desks today so here you go......

Here I am making a batch of new tooth fairy pillows cos they were such a success and have flown off my shelves since I made the last batch.
Yes I have been working with my two machines that close....cos I had one set up with white thread and the other with black and zigzag to save me constantly changing the thread :-)

Here's the state they are at this morning as I type this post.....I have run out of stuffing and am waiting for a delivery so I can get them completed...I have a table booked at a fund raiser for the twins playschool on the 12th March so they are destined for there if they don't sell before. :-)

And for those that don't follow me on Facebook I thought you might like to see my latest range.....My Bleeper keepers :-)

If you'd like to know more then please check them out by following my link....

That's all from me for today....I will be head down sewing today but if you leave me a little hello message I will call by at yours when I can to see what you're up to this week.
Biggest hugs,

WOYWW....

Hello to all my Wednesday visitors.  It's been another busy week here....and have had more sales from the Facebook shop too so things are looking up.  On my desk today is what I spent yesterday making.....

When you have Grandchildren of a certain age there is a demand for tooth fairy pillows so I set to and made these to go in my shop but, as Steve pointed out, the boys wont want ones with fairies on and he came up with a few more ideas so I then made these ones :-)

He, of course, thought these were much better.....I'm happy to please :-)

I hope you like them.  I had lots of fun making them.  Please leave me a little comment so I know you've called in and I will pop over to yours to see what you've been doing this week.
Hugs,

WOYWW.....

Some of you that visited me last week didn't get a return visit and for that I must apologise.....I was a poorly girl so I hope you will forgive me.  In fact I was so poorly that I didn't manage to do a Happy Friday post at all. :-(  It's really not like me but sometimes life has other ideas and rest was the order of the day....thankfully, although I'm not fully recovered I am now on the road to recovery.....these things take a little longer as you get older don't they?

So, you have come here to see what's on my work desk haven't you?

My cutting station was piled high and the whole room was a mess because my darling hubby had to sort out a little problem I was having with my new shelves....

Because of the weight of the little storage boxes that I keep on these shelves he has had to put some supporting brackets underneath for me....where would I be without him? [one thing is for sure all that I expected this shelf to support would have ended up on the floor lol ].

I have found a couple of little jobs that I could do while resting.  I needed storage for my collection of bobbins for my new sewing machine so.....a plastic sandwich box, my glue gun and some lolly sticks and job done :-)  I'm rather chuffed with the result too.

The other little job I've done this week too is to make two little tooth fairy pillows for my eldest two granddaughters.....rather pretty don't you think?

That's all from me for today.  I will do my best to get round a few more of you this week....promise.

WOYWW....

Another week of birthday celebrations for us.  Our twinnie munchkins were two last Friday and we have enjoyed lots of 'family together' times to celebrate.  Flat Susan was here to join in the celebrations and had  great time but is now enjoying a rest in her suitcase while flying over to the USA [see prev post].

Life here is busy, as always.  That's how I like it  :-)  I had the 'partied out' twinnies here to play with me Monday and Tuesday and we enjoyed chill out time......who am I joking?  2 year old twins?  Chilled out???  NEVER!!!  We certainly had a fun time.

I guess you're really here to see my desk thanks to Julia insisting I show it you  :-)

Well, here it is...

Yes I can do messy :-)

Lots of pink on show for an urgently needed little something...

Ribbon jar overflowing to find more pink.

All to make an urgently needed little tooth fairy pillow for Phoebe.....yes, she has lost her first baby tooth and the second is well on it's way!  Oh how quickly they grow up.

The writing is still wet  in the picture but looks much nicer now it's dry.  It has a little pocket across the corner to put her tooth in.

I'm also making a quilt for the next baby expected in the family...due next month [for a neice].  I'm just hand stitching around the little animals/birds etc in the middle to quilt it and finish it off.

Also got a little cardigan on the go for the expected baby too....we don't know what it is yet so I'm knitting a white one  :-)

So, as you can see, I've not been idle since you visited last week.....oh and have fitted in another viewing on the house and got to negotiation stages on sales....lets hope there is good news to share soon.

Until next week....lets hope you all have fun.
Big hugs,
Annie x
