WOYWW...

It's Wednesday and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Sewing by Annie's....

I've been working on 3 different designs for my Christmas cards...
There's been lots of ironing fabric onto bond-a web, drawing on my designs and then fussy cutting it all out.

These will be reindeers when they grow up.

These will be candles and holly when they are finished.

And these will be patchworked Christmas trees when they are finished.

I've had a quiet week with sewing so I've been making the best of my time with Christmas card making.

The parcel coming from Swansea that was posted last Monday with clothes to make 3 Memory bears in it still hasn't arrived....I really hope it arrives eventually as clothes from a loved family member are so special.

As you can see I've had a little helper in my sewing room.  Milly is so funny when I pull out one of my boxes full of materials she likes to climb on top....she's always done this since she was a puppy.  I think she thinks she's helping :-)

That's all from me for today.  I really hope you are alll keeping well and filling your days with things to make you smile.
Hugs,
Annie x

Millie in the basket made me laugh, she’s helpfully flattening the fabric for you! Your Christmas cards are looking great, I really must get a shift on with mine. Hope the parcel turns up, the post generally is very good these days, I do hope it hasn’t gone missing..

My cat that I had for 19 years was just like Milly. She would climb in anything and used to get in the suitcase when I got it out to go away - think she was asking me not to go and leave her. She even climbed in carrier bags. Aren't they funny, but so endearing.
Love that you have got into the mood for Christmas cards, I hope it was a nice quiet job that you enjoyed whilst still recovering. Also hope that parcel turns up, must be quite a worry that it has gone missing in the mail.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx

Happy WOYWW kinda day. Oh that cute little Milly, they just capture hearts don't they? Your fabric card ideas are lovely. Do you attach the finished piece to cardstock ? You have a lot of patience ! Can't wait to see them finished. Hoping your mail arrives, here in the states it's VERY SLOW, part time people, change of distribution has caused a mess. but RATES went sky high for over 5 oz NO increase for junk mail. So when I order usually postage is more then cost of item. Stores can be low inventory as ships are not getting unloaded. GLAD I have inventory at HOME !!!! Have a good week.

Your cards are looking great so far and I love the red fabric you used for the candle ones - it's really beautiful. Milly made me laugh, what a helpful girl she is.
Hope you have a good week and the parcel arrives safely,

I'm sure all those cards will turn out lovely with an appliquéd feel to them. Milly is just adorable - that's definitely a cat-like behaviour! So cute! Have a lovely week, Annie! xx zsuzsa #22

I believe Milly thinks she's a cat as they're the ones that like boxes and well....anything they can climb into really. The cards are going to be great when you've finished them and you're right to get started with them while you have the chance. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x13x

Mildly made me smile:). What breed is she? I Was guessing Border Terrier, but I can’t see her face. I have two dogs sat on and by me most times except when I am crafting and then Jack keeps me company. You have been busy with the Christmas ornaments, I look forward to seeing them when they are finished. Angela #6

Of COUSE Milly is helping! See how productive you are being. Could you have done so well without her? Lol! She is adorable! I do hope your late parcel arrives. It would be awful if it's got lost.

Happy WOYWW,

I chuckled at Milly in the fabric stash as that’s something kikki used to do, bless ‘em.

Hi Annie, I hope the parcel from Swansea has arrived by now but the post has been so slow recently. Alan's been waiting for a package containing a new hearing aid for over a week, and it's only coming from the local hospital!! Looks like your enjoying, and taking advantage, of a quiet time. The card preparations look great. I should be doing the same. Sigh. Take care and hugs to you both. Ellie x #24
