WOYWW...

I'm late joining in the fun today but I'm sure you will all forgive me cos I'm not feeling at my best.  I wasn't going to join in at all but that much older sister of mine said you'd miss me so I'm here just doing my best.  Most of you will know that I have been struggling with my diabetes lately and for the last month I have been giving myself weekly injections...I have tolerated these but this Monday I had to double up the dose!!  The side effects, as with most treatments, are worse than the benefits and Monday night I was kept awake most of the night.  The effects of these injections last a week so even thought I am now not to continue with them I have to suffer for this week....It's left me very weak/shaky.

Enough about all that.  I just need to say I will be reading your blogs from my comfy chair using my iPad and am unable to comment from there....but I promise I will read them.

On my desk/lap today is...

I'm sat quietly making Wilhelmina Wood Mouse....a friend for Luna Lapin of course.

Michelle and Co. bought me the book for my birthday back in October and I've really enjoyed reading the story that runs through it but hadn't made a start with any of the other characters.

For Christmas Gina, Mark and Theo bought me all the felt I need to make all of the other characters in the book...you can just imagine the smile on my face when I opened the parcel.

So there you go.  That's what I will be sat quietly doing today.  Thankfully I wont be working until Wednesday 6th January [although I do have a Memory bear on order from a lady in Northern Ireland] so I'm really hoping to feel much better by then.  I really hope you all had a wonderful if but different Christmas and 2021 is kinder to us all.

Hugs,

Annie x

I am so sorry to read that you’ve had such a reaction to the jab Annie, I really so sympathise because I react to drugs of all sorts so badly. I hope that once it’s out of your system, you’ll be able to feel better. The book and felt are great presents, given by those who know you so well! I’m glad you’re enjoying doing a little sewing.
Happy New Year to you and Doddym let’s hope 2021 is kinder to us all,
Hugs LLJ 2 xxxx

Sorry to hear the new drug is not agreeing with you but hopefully the doctor will find something to help control your diabetes. Lockdown isn’t helping as we have eaten too many carbs and not done enough exercise for weeks now. Lovely gift for your sewing of Luna’s friends. Take care and best wishes for 2021.

Hi Annie, hope you soon start to feel better. I don't know much about diabetes, but that doesn't sound nice at all, with the side effects of the injections being worse than the benefits! Rest easy in your comfy chair, and I wish you all the very best for 2021. Take care, Heather xx #30

Annie, my goodness, I am sending you many prayers for healing in your body! I do know the difficulties of your diabetes due to some friends with the same, but it would seem you are inundated at the moment! I pray your body begins to respond, WITHOUT all those side effects I might add! Love, love the mouse you are working on as well as all the other cute characters to come! What a great surprise with the felts! Can't wait to see your beautiful work! Happy New Year and many blessings for continued health! Felicia #31

Aww Annie I hate to think of you being unwell so I’m sending a big virtual hug to you and hoping each day sees you on the mend.
I’m tapping away here on my new iPad Air. It was a present to myself and I’m quite loving it.
Give little Milly a kiss and a tickle from me.
Take good care, lots of love

I am very envious of the book with all the felt to make the charachters. Mind you I have a box of felt from making my birds this festive season!
