WOYWW.....

What a busy few weeks I've had.  In the time since we got back from our holidays....just 6 working days, with having the boys two days each week...I have made 24 memory characters, one memory cushion and shortened 3 layers on a bridesmaid's dress.....and I'm buzzing.

The ones I can share with your today are...

Made from a much loved Mum's favourite tops and when my customer saw them they...

.....ordered another one for another family member.
These are now heading to their new home up in Yorkshire.

This beautiful little bear was made for a special friend to send to her Aunt who has just lost her hubby.

These 5 were made in memory of a special Dad for a lovely customer I have known for many years...many of my customers become more like friends and she is one of those.  The one little bear is heading to his new home in Australia on Friday.

This one was made using a Mum's dressing gown to give her hubby some comfort....he's soft anf fluffy so is rather lovely.

As you can see each bear is very different but is made from clothing that means a lot to each customer....and I love making them.

We don't have Louie today so hopefully I will have time to do some blog visiting.

This week's smiles....week 328

I've had another busy week with sewing around the two days we have Grandparent duties.  I feel so blessed to be able to enjoy time with the Grandies around my sewing.

Tuesday was an early start as we had to be over at our son's to take Theo to school then at the other end of the day we collect him to come to ours for tea.  The two boys play so beautifully together and Theo is so patient with a little brother who likes to be in his space all the time :-)

Little Louie has had a cough/cold for a few weeks [and has kindly shared it with us] and on Thursday he fell asleep as is normal on the settee and had 20 mins when he roused, climbed down off the settee, crossed the room to me, climbed up on my knee and went back to sleep for another hour :-)
I think he's just needing more cuddles with not feeling 100%....and I was more than happy to obligue.

He's enjoyed time with his Grandad having a story.  It makes us chuckle because Grandad often puts his glasses on his head to be able to read and normally Louie objects and makes him put them back on his eyes.

Of course I also have a few funnies to share with you...I hope something makes you smile and you will then leave me a little comment before linking to your own smiles below.

WOYWW....

I was missing in action last week...partly because I was so very busy with work with being away for our long weekend in Devon [pics on my Friday post] and partly because I just knew I wouldn't have time to get around all my favourite blogs to leave you all comments.

I have been head down sewing all week and have made 9 memory cats and a memory cushion for Sarah but she has asked that I don't show the photos until after Christmas so I will share the others I've made this week.....

This is the Memory bear I made for a little girl who left a school in Australia to go to a new school over here in England....he has his own school jumper as requested and that was quite a challenge.

These three were made for a lady from Australia and will be heading over there later in the year...Annie's love is spreading around the world.

I have a bridesmaid's dress with 3 layers to shorten but that won't get done until tomorrow because today is a Louie day....and of course sewing has to wait.  I also have lots more Memory bear orders on their way too :-) ....happy days.

This week's smiles....week 327

What a wonderful week it's been for us here at Sewing by Annie's....We left here on Friday morning and got home on Tuesday afternoon.....and we had an amazing time.  We had no rain apart from at night time so were able to explore Devon.

We stayed in a beautiful little barn conversion in Loxhore. It had a cleverly designed kitchen in a cupboard and was in beautiful enclosed gardens which Milly really enjoyed.

We visited Saunton Sands, the hotel we had our honeymoon in 43 1/2 years ago, and a lovely lady took our photo :-)

Milly really enjoyed her run on the beach.

We enjoyed meals out every day [in dog friendly places...and Milly was a real star] and we even sat outside on the Monday under a Covid style hut with a wall heater...and we enjoyed walks on lots of beaches.

All in all we revisited many places with special memories and had an amazing few days.

I came home to 13 memory characters waiting for me to make so have been kept very busy since Tuesday.

Of course I had to find a few funnies to share with you...hope something here makes you smile.

Please leave me a little comment so I know you've called in and then link up to your own smiles below.

This week's smiles....week 536

Here we are at another weekly catch up of what's made us smile during the week.

Mine was filled with making memories to celebrate my birthday/retirement.  It's included two trips to the theatre to see Vincent Simone's Argentine Tango show on Monday night [of Strictly Come Dancing fame] and on Wednesday night we saw Sarah Millican...and we laughed so much that I felt she should be on prescription.  I've been taken out for lunch on Monday and have been spoilt rotten by all my family and friends....I'm truly blessed.

We've had two wonderful fun days with little Louie making lots of memories.

Milly has been 'helping' me in my sewing room....she's such a sweety and she knows it.

Finally here's a few funnies to make you smile.

It's a quick one from me for this week because we are heading off on another adventure [more celebrations :-) ] but I will do my best to pop over to yours if I can.

WOYWW....

Hello all.  My name is Annie and I'm an OAP

It was my birthday Monday and at last I have reached 66 which means I can recieve my state pension.....but for those thinking I will be stopping sewing I wont.  I love my job so will be continuing to sew.  I may a little more selective on the jobs I take on and will def be enjoying my time with the grandchildren and the time we spend on adventures in our caravan but I do plan to carry on working, at least for a while yet.

I've had some beautiful flowers and even had a Happy Retirement balloon plus I have been spoilt rotton with a lovely meal out and a trip to the theatre to see Vincent Simone [of Strictly come dancing fame] in his Argentine Tango dance show....it was amazing.

We are back to the theatre tonight to see Sarah Milligan and I am really looking forward to that.

I completed the first 'gifted' Advent calendar and when I went to cut the second one out I discovered it was actually two folded up together so I have now made 3 and will be selling them for the Harry Johnson trust.

Now this is def a coincidence.  On my desk today is two piles of clothing to make bears from.

The turquoise set on the right hand side is to have a school bear made for a little girl who has just left school in Australia.

The white/grey set is to make 3 memory bears for a lady who lives in Australia and they will be flying out to their new home when finished.

I'm conquering the world folks :-)

That's all from this OAP for today.  I will do my best to pop over to yours as soon as I can but it's a fun day with Louie today so please be patient with me.

This week's smiles......week 535

Here we are at our weekly catch up of the smiles from the week just gone....and there's been lots to smile about.

I've managed to catch up with all the outstanding jobs I had lined up and printed off new fliers etc that had run out.  I love it when I manage to catch up before the next customer heads to my door.  I changed the header pic to the last of the roses that were blooming before the colder weather started...isn't it pretty?

We've had two lovely fun days with little Louie and have now mastered the art of getting him to nap on the sofa now.  He's such a happy, contented little boy and is a pleasure to look after.

The only other thing I have to share with you today are a few funnies....I hope something makes you smile.

I have a busy week ahead of me with birthday/retirement celebrations ....I'm hoping it will last a week or two :-) I'm being taken out for lunch on Monday and have a couple of trips to the theatre up and coming....I hope to share more next week.

For now please leave me a little comment and then link to your own smiles below....and keep smiling my friends.

Hugs,

WOYWW....

These weekly catch ups seem to come around so quickly now and, yet again,  I've had another busy week so will quickly show and tell what I've been doing in pics...

At the end of last week I made these 4 lovely Memory bears to remember 2 special Grandmothers.

My next challenge was to make a Memory Elephant from a fleece top....it was quite a challenge because all the fabric had to be stabilised with iron on interfacing but I rather like how he's turned out.

Saturday morning I made two new advent calendars like this one and put the 8 I had finished on my Sewing by Annie's Facebook page and have already sold 5 of them :-)

Whilst watching the telly on Sunday I made these 6 Scandinavian stars from 24 3.25"x12" pieces of Christmas fabrics....they will sell for Harry Johnson Trust at their next sale.

I've finished the Christmas elf I was making...this will be a guess the name of the Elf to raise funds for the charity.

Finally yesterday I put together the first of two advent calendars that came with the donated fabrics to be used for the charity....It just needs wadding and backing now....and then the other one needs making :-)

That's all from me for today.  If you leave me a little message I will do my best to pop over to yours to see what you've been up to this week.
Hugs,
