What a week it's been here at Sewing by Annie's....lots of smiles but no sewing. I had nothing to share on my desk on Wednesday for that very reason.
We had the boys here for a long weekend so we had lots to smile about. We not only had fun time at home but we went for a ride on the Easter train from Llanfair Caereinion to Welshpool and even saw the Easter bunny who gave the boys an Easter egg each.
Wednesday night we went to Theatre Severn to watch Sam taking part in Nemo [Junior]....he played 5 different parts and the whole show was amazing. We really do have a lot of very talented children in and around Shrewsbury.

Here we are at the end of yet another busy week catching up on what's made us smile....and there's been plenty to smile about here and I hope with you too.
Theo is proudly showing me the award he was given at school...it's for Maths and he was awarded it for 'challenging himself to think of different ways to make numbers using addition and subtraction and for describing his favourite shape, a nonagon.'....it's so easy to forget he's only 5!!
He had to make an Easter bonnet for school too and thought he'd pull a face in the photo he sent me....he's so funny.
This has to be one of my favourite photos....and of course as Gina is to be induced on Monday there wont be many more photo opportunities like this.
Gina has rested lots all week and is now uncomfortable all the time so I'm sure she will be glad to get it all over now....but hopefully not until Mark has a negative Covid test!!...I really don't want him to miss out on the birth of his second son. It's so exciting.
This really made me smile [and no I wasn't just sitting watching him!]. On Wednesday morning we gave my sewing room a deep clean...I do make an awful lot of fluffy dust! We got it finished just in time to find a home for my new industrial machine I have been given. The old one we bought just wasn't up to the job we got it for sadly.

My excuses?...
Hubby had the day off on Thursday which threw us all out and none of us knew what day of the week it was
Our visitors arrived Thursday.....so from being full on with carpet fitting, preparing every room etc for their arrival to sitting chilling and enjoying their company we flagged and sleep seemed to take over us all.
Of course no one wants to sit on the computer when you have special company
Well there you go but of course most of you didn't really expect me to be here cos you knew just what I'd be doing so all I really have to say is I hope you had loads to smile about over the Easter weekend.....you will guess that we did an awful lot of smiling, laughing, chatting and generally enjoying every minute of the last week .

Thanks to those who shared their smiles last week. Such a lovely lot of happiness shared and several of them caused giggles. My featured post from last week just had to be Elizabeth's. The joke at the end really made me chuckle because as you can imagine this Nanny Annie, like the one in the joke, doesn't always get things right. Thanks for sharing that Elizabeth.....I must remember to think twice before I answer the grandees questions ;-)

I really hope you've all enjoyed the smiles I've shared this week and will link yours up below. Hoping you all have a wonderful Easter weekend filled with many moments to make you happy.
For my WOYWW I boldly stated that as soon as I had finished my Britannia costume I would be having some 'me time' with my fabrics and beads. Well, before I had finished the costume [and it has now been finished and collected] my 'to do' rail was full to overflowing again and although I have worked non stop since it still is :-) I really can't imagine where all this sewing was done before 'Sewing by Annie'. What I sometimes fail to take into consideration is that while I have customers here either dropping off and collecting [and talking, laughing and telling me all their news] I'm not able to be actually sewing and just sometimes it does seem to become a bit of a drop in centre for friends and relatives......and I love it. May it never change.
What a will say now is that I have done all I am going to do now until Tuesday morning. I am taking the next four days off and plan to have my well earned 'me time'. The sewing can wait. There is nothing life threatening about needing sewing done. I won't be sleeping all of the four days and may come back here on Tuesday with at least something crafty to show for my 'me time'....or I might not :-)
Hope you all have a really special Easter break and manage at least a little time for enjoyment.
