This week's smiles....week 408

Hello all.  It's been a week of highs and lows.  I was called back following my recent mammogram.  On attending the clinic they told me they had seen something in the glands under my left arm and after ultra scanning they took 4 needle biopsies and mentioned possible lymphoma.  I had to wait a full week for a phone call to tell me the time of my next clinic appointment.  They called me back on Tuesday afternoon to tell me they had found no abnormalities and I didn't need a follow up....PHEW!!  What a relief that was.

I would have celebrated if only both hubby and I hadn't gone down with another dose of flu...I don't think I've ever felt so rough and am still recovering.  We just don't seem to be able to shake the bugs off.

I popped out into the garden and quickly snapped as many of the flowers that I hadn't shown you before...I hope you love them as much as I do.

We had the boys last weekend and shared many happy moments.  Our son, Mark, used to love his Knex as a child and he still does...that really made me smile.  He had a lot of fun with Louie while Theo was away at cub camp with his mummy.

Sam is back on stage as one of only two children in the adult performance of Shrek....sadly we aren't well enough to go to see him.....his mummy has sent me lots of pics and videos so we don't miss out completely.

Peggy wen't for her first haircut this week...she was such a good girl for the groomer and not only looks really pretty but her coat is soooooo soft.

,

That just leaves me to share my funnies with you.  I hope something here makes you smile and you will leave me a little message before sharing your smiles with us too.
Hugs,
Annie x

Congratulations on the all-clear! That's a relief.
And sorry to hear you have got the flu again. I think we get these things through the children, who catch everything but have built up a better immune system that we old'uns. I hope you feel better soon. The warmer weather will help.
Your flowers are beautiful, and your funnies made me smile. I like them all but had an extra giggle at the bedroom with the rope and firing Dave (Typical Spanish scenario with seven blokes watching).
I hope you can enjoy your weekend,
Lisca

Some very good news.... but yikes, another flu. At least some fun, too - and funnies :-)
So... hope you´re on the way up, health-wise and find lots to smile x

Now you can relax again but I warned you about the colds I was weeks getting rid of mine. Everything health wise seems to take much longer now to get stuff sorted. I have something on this morning so will pop back later to check out the funnies. Lovely to see Peggy with her new haircut. Hugs Angela xXx

That was a scary week for you, but I am glad you were given the all clear. And now another bout of flu. I do hope you can fight it off quicker this time.
It is nice to see Louie and his dad enjoying building together. My boys had K'nex too - lots of it. We had a big wheel that took up most of their bedroom for a while, and lots of other great constructions too. Hours of fun.
Well done to Sam for getting chosen for the part. What a great experience for him.
Beautiful flowers again. Your garden always has something to make us smile. I love the red and yellow tulip. Kate x

Sorry to hear you are unwell again-the flu/virus seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. Glad your mammogram results were fine.

must have felt like an eternity waiting for results... ack! and sick again? could this be long covid?? Peggy is just beautiful and has good hair too? wow she's terrific. I watched how to groom a cairn terrier (none available here to rescue sadly) and it's a lot of work. More than poodles I think.
the layoff funny is too close to home here in the new regime of the US
