This week's smiles....week 401

This is the last Friday smiles post before Christmas and I doubt I will be posting again now until after the big day so I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and lets hope 2021 comes with a little less madness.

It's been another busy week here at Sewing by Annie's with lots of Memory bears being made.  It's also been another lovely week filled with smiles too.

There's been a socially distanced visit to see Father Christmas for Phoebe, Lulu and Steven.

Christmas activities for the twins included icing their Christmas cake and making a gingerbread house.

It's been a week of achievements for the grandchildren too.

Lulu and Steven got school awards and Phoebe had a really glowing school report from her new school....proud Nanny moments.

Sam had a gold award for his guitar playing and Lexi had her rosette/certificate for her dance exam and the top picture is of her at her dance award evening on zoom where she won the only trophy for her age group...Star dancer award!  Amazing or what?

I'm such a proud Nanny. It's so lovely that they get rewarded for putting in the effort and enjoying what they do.

That's all I have to share for this week.  Please share your smiles by linking them up below.

Hugs,

Annie x

I take it that means you will NOT be posting next Friday. The children are the center of Christmas and your grandchildren are all showing how well behaved they are, in school, dance, and even creating Christmas goodies. LOVE that gingerbread house. Congrats to all the children and may you, your husband, and your entire family have a very Merry Christmas, dear Annie. See you week after next, I guess.

Hope it’s a lovely Christmas for all the family in this strange year. Lovely photos of your grandchildren and well done to them on their awards.

I can imagine you are very busy this week. Many people will have alterations to do before Christmas (I too have put on weight) and the memory bears make ideal presents.
Your grandchildren have really done well. The lockdown(s) don't seem to have bothered them or dampened their enthusiasm. Well done kiddos! Proud nanny indeed.
I wish you a very happy Christmas and I hope you will be allowed to see some of your grandchildren, if not all. (Is it three families in your area?)
I'll do my best to cobble together a blog on Christmas Day, so I might see you then.
Wishing you and your family an very blessed Christmas.
Hugs,
Lisca

Hi Annie, it is good to see the children getting involved in activities and you and their parents are right to encourage it as much as possible. I understand that it can make lots of extra work for parents but it's so important to involve them in out of school activities as much as possible and I always felt sorry for those children who's parents couldn't be bothered with it. Gosh!... I sound like the school teacher again, sorry about that but guess it never leaves you. I guessed this might be the last get together before Christmas and hope we see lots of happy pics afterwards. I can't do much on-line on Christmas Day as we will be trying to give my mum something resembling Christmas dinner and she doesn't have internet so we're going to be a bit busy. As we can't stay there over night it will be a backwards and forwards visit but we'll manage it somehow and we're hoping to do it again on Boxing Day but we'll see how it goes. Stay safe and have a lovely Christmas. Angela xXx

I forgot, Annie. I won't be by on the 1st of January. I will be introducing a new artist at Art Journal Journey on that day, so I'll be back on the 8th.

You have such talented grandchildren Annie. No wonder you are proud of them. I love that they have each found the hobby that suits them, and have worked to do well at it. It is good to see the school awards too. I am sure you will be able to see them maybe one family at a time over the holiday. I hope you manage to celebrate in some way. have a lovely time and I'll see you again next year! xx

I thought I had commented on your lovely pics but nothing here. What a fab bunch they all are. Great time of year for them - even socially distanced. xx

Such beautiful photos. They have grown so fast and I've enjoyed the fun you share. I sort of envy all of it. No way could I see the 3 in Jersey with this mess of Covid, but thankful they are all safe. And you have shared the Very Best. ENJOY
