First and foremost I want to say I really hope our wonderful leader is now back home and making a good steady recovery from her holiday in the Spanish hospital.....you've been missed by all. xxxx

 Then I would like to share with you the happy post I've had.  I follow My Fabric House on Facebook and was lucky enough to win this gorgeous pack of fat quarters.  It's worth checking them out if you're looking for fabric cos they have an amazing amount of fab materials at sensible prices.....I'm still doing a happy dance. :-)

And of course finally what is on my work desk this week?.......

 What is that? I hear you say :-)

I am designing a clutch bag for me to use at our son's wedding in August and saw an idea I rather fancied on Pinterest so I have been playing with two strips of wide ribbon and lots of pins to see what effects I can get. 

So with a lot of planning, an awful lot of pins, a few stitches and a few selected beads this is what I cam up with....

The fabric underneath is what I'm making my bag out of and the colours match my dress, jacket and sandals to perfection so I'm rather pleased so far.......

.....just got to make the bag now :-) oh and of course I need some of those big pants that hold everything in to wear under it all  ;-)

Well folks that's all from me on the creative side....I'm afraid the house moving fiasco with many phone calls to estate agents, solicitors and building societies still hasn't finished so it does tend to sap the mojo somewhat!!!....we will get there and when we do you will hear me from where ever you are in the world!!!

The funny side of a beautiful day....

Happy Friday to you all.  I've just a few snaps that I hope will make you smile today.  Even on a perfect day there were moments to cause more than a giggle or two.....

They say 'start them young' but maybe not this young eh?....I will add Sam wasn't actually allowed to drink any even if it was his Mummy and Daddy's wedding!

Here are the twinnies busting some moves on the dance floor with Mummy and Daddy [ in their PJs by this time but too excited to sleep]  :-)  They loved the music and all the sparkly lights.

Even beautiful little flower girls have to take a nap from time to time  :-)

As you can see we had many moments to make us all smile last Saturday...these were just a few of them that I thought you'd like to share.

Just a quicky....

I know there will be a few waiting to see how the day went yesterday.  As you can imagine we are well and truly knackered oops sorry I meant tired  :-)  here is a taster of what can only be described as the most perfect day ever  :-) :-) :-) and I promise you more to come later.........

WOYWW....

Wednesday again and guess what's on my desk today?

Answer.....Everything wedding related of course.

• 3 flower girl dresses....steamed
• 3 flower girl aprons
• 3 flower girl shrugs [just in case]
• 2 page boy suits...pressed
• 4 pink bridesmaid's dresses....steamed
• 4 pair bridesmaid's silver sandals
• Wedding dress ....steamed
• Netted underskirt....steamed
• Veil....steamed
• 60 favour boxes each filled with pink and white heart shaped jelly beans
• everything ready in waiting to decorate the wedding cake tomorrow
• order of services in their box
• table plan for reception....etc etc etc

Yes as you can imagine my little sewing room is full to overflowing and it's certainly been a hot steamy week for me.

Just as well I have plenty of hanging space eh?

The special ivory dress is just on the right hand edge of the screen but that will be revealed next week...if I can find you a pic or two.  :-)

Jo helped me fill the favour boxes on Monday...I hope you notice our excellent food hygiene  :-)....if we dropped any then we just had to eat them!!

Please help yourselves to a jelly heart or two....we have a few left over  :-)

Just so you know that I have found a few moments to sit and enjoy the sunshine...here's a pic of  4 baby swallows that like to sit on the line right outside our kitchen window waiting to be fed.....and look at that sky!!!!!

Please can we have it like that on Saturday for the wedding.  :-)

That's all from me for today folks...still lots of the last minute jobs to do yet.
