This week's smiles.....week 91

Thanks to those who joined in last week with their happy smiles.  I am featuring someone who hasn't joined in for a while with a post that really made me smile....and I know it made many others smile too.  If you haven't seen the video of the cute little snoring dormouse then please take a minute to pop over to Laura's blog at Beads Buttons and Birds.  It's well worth a visit.  Thanks Laura for sharing it with us.

I have loads of smiles every week and the pic I'm sharing this week isn't the best quality but I thought it would make you chuckle...

This is Lexi being my protector....there were spiders on the telly so she was 'keeping me safe til they had gone off the telly.  :-)

Sam was doing the same to his mummy and the pair of them were giggling their hearts out.

Even though neither Shell or I would have chosen for her to have been poorly the time we have spent together during her recovery has been priceless.  Think it is known as making the best of a raw deal.  :-)

So there you go folks....that's my smile for this week.  What's yours?  Please try to snap a pic to share one of your happy smiles with us and link them below....smiles are contagious and it really does make the world a better place.

Hugs,
Annie x

This week's smiles.....week 76

Another week has flown past and it's been one full to the brim with things to smile about....some of which can be seen in the last post.  I count my blessings every day.

Many joined in again last week by linking up their smiles and I thank each and every one of you for taking the time out of your busy lives to share with us.  This week I am featuring two newcomers on our smiley link up...
  1. Robyn over in Australia with her racy advert for a Peep magazine back 64 years ago :-) and
  2. Eliza's post over in Australia with her stunning skies.
Welcome to you both from the other side of the world girls.  Thanks for joining in the fun and please come back again.

Now for my smiles this week, by popular demand, I am sharing some pics of the twinnies that have made me smile this week....

The first pic is one of a set of professional pics Shell had taken as a gift from her sister for her 3th Birthday....isn't it just stunning?

This one really makes me smile...they really do love each other this much....
........most of the time :-)
And don't you just love black and white photos?

I think this one says it all....Not sure whether the photo session was too long or whether Lexi was just showing the photographer just how she could do a moody pose for her.  I love it and it always makes me chuckle.

This is one of the latest artworks from Lexi.....it's a duck [of course!]
Sam has always been the artist up til now but this one shows Lexi has hidden talents doesn' it?....not bad for a 2 year old :-)

And this last photo is to make Shell smile...or not as the case may be :-)
My darling hubby and I went to the Shrewsbury Food Festival on Saturday to have a break from clearing out and boxing up getting ready for our move and as well as food stalls there was a lot of very talented creative stands there too.  This one had all sorts of wooden creations on from toadstool and wooden flowers to tables and chairs but what we saw on this table really made me squirm.

It was huge and far too realistic for my liking.  Shell is like me and has a real phobia for spiders but I just couldn't resist taking this pic to share with her.  :-)

So there you go....I really do have lots that has made me smile this week.  How about you?  Please join in the fun by linking up below.

WOYWW....

Yes, it's Wednesday again and so very many bloggers now link up on this day and expose their messy cluttered disorganised creative spaces so us nosey folk can have a good snoop into their lives.  If you want to find out more or would like to join in with the madness fun then please pop over to visit our queen of snoop Julia.  She is the jam that keeps us all together  :-)

So folks? What has been happening in my world this week.  I've done a 'mainly picture' blog today...so it's quicker for you to read and quicker for me to type cos life is manic here  :-)

I've made two red seat pads for the munchkins to use their other grandparent's two single buggies.  I've made these to measure with slits so the straps will go through.

....they will be more comfy now :-)

My latest little 'fish and chip baby' jumper.  I'm now making the beanie hat to match  :-)  Please follow this link if you want to have a go at knitting one....they are very easy to make.

My 'to do' rail looks like this today.  Jo and I had a 'Munchkin Monday' this week.  :-)
  • Normally when I have a day looking after the twins I am here alone so I shut up the shop for the day.
  • Often when Jo is here on a Monday for our normal Funday Monday we have no customers.
I had a bright idea this week that cos there was two of us here to look after the munchkins and cos I was sure we could also cope with the odd customer I would stay open.....this week I had 7 customers!!! Plus they all came with more than one item needing doing and most of them needed fittings!!!!!  If I say that I spent yesterday catching up and my rail still looks like this today then you will understand if I struggle to get round many blogs this week  :-)  I will do my best I promise.

Also you will all know how much I hate curtains and here is another reason why.  I hate spiders much more!!!  These curtains have come to me really dirty for shortening and the inhabitants were still in situ!!  Arghhhhhhh.

So, today I have NO not one pair of curtains to shorten, NOT two pairs of curtains but THREE pairs!!!   I may be a while.

So there you go.  As you can see it's another busy week over here at Sewing by Annie's.  I would like to say a huge thank you to all who called by here last week.  I popped in to visit you all but was unable to leave comments on a couple so I'm sorry for that but I blame blogger!

I hope you all have a fab week and thanks for calling in.  Please leave me a little hello comment before you leave and I will do my best to do a return visit.

Hugs,
Annie x
