WOYWW....

Hello all my lovely blogging friends.  Here we are at yet another Wednesday show and tell day.  My post today comes with a health warning and a warning for the squeamish further down the page.

First I'd like to introduce you to my latest creation....

Meet my new design for a  Memory friend.  I have designed a little rabbit this time and have put him up for an Easter draw for my followers on my Facebook Page so if you'd like to be in with a chance to win him then please pop over and join in the fun.....good luck folks.

Confession time.....Jo and I had an afternoon together on Saturday while the men were at the football match and we popped into our favourite fabric shop in Shrewsbury [in fact it's the only one really!] and this gorgeous material just stuck to me like a magnet....it would have been rude not to pay for it before leaving the shop.

Here's my desk in all it's glory today....I'm busy making some ATCs for the up and coming 9th anniversary swap for WOYWW...but I've hidden them from view cos I'm a tease.
If anyone wants to swap with me then please send me your postal details to wipso2310@gmail.com
nb this could well be a new email address to you so take note.

Now for the health warning....please look away now if you're squeamish.

NEVER under any circumstances get your finger under the needle when you are using a sewing machine!!!

I have always been very proud of the fact that in all the years of sewing I have never caught my finger under my sewing machine....that is until last Friday!!!
What a funny experience that was!!....I felt really sick and nearly fainted and it's not something I plan to do again in a hurry.....I will add it looks far worse than it is and is  healing well now, if still a little tender, but it amazed me just how many things I do in a day uses that finger....ouch!!

There you go that's all from me for today.  If you leave me a little comment to let me know you've called in I will do my best to pay you a return visit as soon as I'm able.  Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x

WOYWW......

It's been a busy week here at Sewing by Annie's.  The new Facebook site is going from strength to strength and customers are really starting to find their way to my door.  I've even sold some of my tiny felt bears and puppets so all in all it's been a good week.

This is what my desk looks like today...

In between my other sewing work I'm working on Miss Picklelily's very special purple lindy hop dress.  If you've not heard of Miss Picklelily then I will say that she's an amazing children's entertainer and magician and if you live locally I would highly recommend her for any child's party entertainment.  She has been asked to enter in a competition in Blackpool in February and I really do wish her the very best of luck.

That's all from me for today....it's short and sweet cos we have a painter here this week so I'm avoiding wet paint and doing my best to sew too  :-)

Hugs,

WOYWW...

Phew it's Wednesday again!....where do the other days in between go?

My weeks seem to fly by and every one seems to be pretty manic.  This week I have...
  • Had a table at Marton Craft Fair on Saturday with much older sister Jo and her daughter Maxine [pics below].
  • Been treated to tea out and a night at the theatre in Shrewsbury on Sunday by that much older sister of mine.  We went to see Greg Davies...very funny.  Thanks Jo.
  • Had a FUNDAY Monday with just Jo this week....we talked over ways to sell our hand made crafts and made a display of them in my sewing room for my customers to see.

  • I opened up a Facebook page for our shop to try to advertise it more....if you would like to check it out and maybe 'like' it for us I would be really grateful.  I'm pretty new to it all but it does say we need 30 likes before we can move on to the next step [I think!  :-) ]   Click on this link.  Sorry if this is advertising Julia....we just want to be 'liked'.  :-)
  • I had a munchkin day with my gorgeous twin Grandchildren yesterday....much a fun time was had by all... so today I will be playing catch up with my sewing jobs.
So what is on my desk today I hear you shout....

My latest batch of quick Christmas cards I have made.....yes just a bit of simple paper craft ones this time.

And my latest parcel of gorgeous new wool rovings I have bought from Sara.  What yummy colours they are too....have a feeling I will need to stroke these a while before I will be using them  :-)

That's about it from me for today.  I will do my best to call by to visit all who leave me comments in between my sewing jobs.  Thanks for calling by and I really hope you all have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
