I've mostly been smiling this week because it's rained at times and it's been rather cooler. I've only had one bridesmaid this week so I have been able to enjoy some creative time and we have popped out a few times for coffee and even lunch...bliss. This retirement lark is ok :-)
For those of you struggling in the heat Peggy says you can come and share her cool mat with her....she loves it.

I hope that mat works for Peggy. What is it made of? My cats like the heat, but they still sit under the AC when it's on.

Pleased that Peggy likes the cooler mat but our two wont have anything to do with them, they just sit looking at it from a distance. Looks like we've swapped round this week, you're quiet at yours and we've been busy all week......... guess that's how it goes. Have a good weekend. Hugs Angela xXx

I am still trying to walk twice a day around the neighborhood and the temps take it out of me. I get home, collapse in front of the fan, and we have a whole house AC but it can only cool 20 deg cooler than outside. Our temps hover near the 100 F mark with the intense high altitude sun of the Rocky mountains. I need the cooling mat!

Hello Annie, I'm a bit late - nothing unusual in that you might say :) - but I thought you would enjoy these photos from our trip to Balloch on Saturday. Somewhere you might like to visit yourselves one day. I've just ordered a cool mat for Silver though she's very good at finding the coolest and shadiest spots for her afternoon naps.
