There's no fear of me getting old that's for sure :-)
I was MIA last week because I was rather busy.
Since I was here 2 weeks ago I have...
- Shortened 3 Bridesmaid's dresses [2 layers each]
- Shortened 3 pair of nurses trousers
- Took in 2 nurses tunics
- Shortened 7 prom dresses one of which featured on my last Friday post....this one took a day and a half to shorten with all the layers
- Shortened 6 tops ....all different colours so had to change the colours on my overlocker every time.
- Shortened the sleeves on a blouse
- Replaced the zip in a pair of shorts
- Sewed a badge on a top
- Shortened a long dress
- Shortened a long skirt
- Replaced the zip in a pair of jeans and
- Shortened a pair of jeans
I'm sure you can guess that I didn't have time to write a post for last week's WOYWW or to comment on anyone elses posts so I hope I didn't miss anything important.
I've never had so many prom dresses in one season before [11 in total so far] and now I'm moving on to end of school year Memory bears :-)
I hope to get around as many blogs as I can this week to catch up but the sewing hasn't stopped yet.
Hugs,
Annie x

Wonder woman! You amaze me at your skill and cleverness at altering all those lovely gowns. I love the cartoon. I'll keep sewing then! x x Jo 🌈
Cor blimey Wipso no wonder you didn't get on, here. Eleven prom dresses! And the one you are showing us - how the Dickens do you start with that! You are so talented!
Love the cartoon and it is so you!
Got a question on my blog today that you will hopefully be able to answer. It's regarding dumfing.
Happy June to you.

Sitting here with open mouth 😦 at what you’ve accomplished Annie. Don’t forget to take time to breath haha xx
Blimey that’s a lot of prom dresses! Would the collective noun be A Froth of Prom Dresses?! I really love that pale yellow one, it’s so pretty and well done you for tackling the layers. I’m glad you’re spending your retirement twiddling your thumbs doing nothing, lol!!! Love to you all xx

I'm not surprised that prom dress took so long!
Happy WOYWW!

Wow Annie - not surprising you were MIA last week. That list makes me tired just reading it. Good luck with the end of year memory bears. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
Hello Annie, what a gruelling list. The prom dress is beautiful, though just a bit too meringue like for me. Bet the wearer looks stunning in it. I've been reviewing my wardrobe and now have a similar list of alterations to do but all for me by me. I'm sure you can guess I'm in no particular hurry to tackle them though. I'm thinking the memory bears will be a walk in the park compared with all you've been doing this last week or two. Try not to overdo it and take time out occasionally would be my advice. Have a lovely week. Love to you both and your adorable little dog too. Purrs and meows from Silver. Hugs, Ellie x #15
Wow, Annie, that’s a lot of work, especially the fiddly prom dresses. Well done you! I love uiur cartoon, never stop sewing!
