What a week it's been here at Sewing by Annies. It's been the school's half term holiday and I have been flooded with prom dresses. It was Bank holiday on Monday so I wasn't working but my customers more than made up for it on Tuesday and Wednesday..3-4 prom dresses arrived each day plus other sewing jobs.
I dont work Thursdays normally because we have the boys here but this week they have been on holiday with their Mummy so yesterday I tackled a really tricky dress that I had to do [yes my choice and I have to say it was a job and a half].
It took me 7 hours to just do the top layers!! I still have 3 more layers to shorten yet.
I thought it was a good idea to do it while I had no customers to disturb me because I have 2 more prom dresses coming today.

Great work on that multi layered gown. Loved the funnies but my favourite pic is the one of the boys. Gorgeous. 🥰
Hi Annie, that's an interesting dress but looks fiddly to say the least. Nice pic of the boys and loving the funnies. I used to have the Sooty and Sweep pair but like many of my childhood stuff they apparently left home when I went to college .........that was according to my mother! Luckily my father managed to rescue some of my favourite teddys. Have a good weekend, hugs Angela xXx
That dress sounds like my studies.
In Germany we do not have proms... weeee, am I glad! I can´t dance and I do not like fancy...
Sweet pics wit the boys!
And a wonderful garden.
LOL on the Zoom meetings! And the birds! My Brother would be on the girls side and me on the male one...
B&B!!! And argh! Ingo put German conducts on products we got from Australia. Cute bio-lesson and oh, Freddie is an ant now!
Great ones - thank you for the smiles!!!
I am glad it was not me tackling that dress. It was a serious undertaking so well done you!.
Lovely picture of the boys. I hope they enjoyed their holiday.
The garden is looking good and your funnies made me smile. Kate x
Well done you for tackling that complicated dress. We didn't have proms when I was young. It's a thing that drifted over from across the pond.
Yes, what a lovely photo of the boys.
I had a good old giggle at the funnies. I cried out at the shaving one!
Your garden is gorgeous and >I love the tulips in your header.
Sorry for being late commenting. I have been out since very early this morning and then half way through the day I remembered that I hadn't even linked (as I left the house before you had published).
Enjoy your weekend,
Lisca
