This week's smiles....week 491

It's been one of those weeks where I have struggled to find you something to smile about.

I did share some lovely photos on Wednesday of a fun afternoon I had with Phoebe and Lulu and I have to admit that although I was suffering toothache it was a very special afternoon and there was lots of chatting and giggling.

Friday and Saturday nights I was up and down with toothache..... Paracetamol and Nurofen just wouldn't touch it so Sunday found me taking a trip to an emergency dentist who thought I had an abscess developing, gave me antibiotics and instructed me to visit my own dentist ASAP.

Monday I managed to get an appointment at my own dentists where I spent 45 mins in the chair having a tooth drilled out and filled and then he lanced the abscess!!!  It was so painful.  He also gave me more antibiotics which I have been taking all week.

I then had to go back to see my dentist yesterday and guess what?....The tooth is no more.  It was still rather unstable so had to be pulled....ouch!!

Although my face was swollen all week and I was still suffering from aches plus the effects of antibiotics and analgesia I had lots of sewing to get on top of....including replacement of 36 zips!! Running your own business means you have to do your best to keep the work done regardless of how your feeling.  I have also been cooking/baking ready for the up and coming WOYWW crop on Saturday....now that is something to smile about.

The only pics I have to share with you this week are....

....meet Reggie my latest addition to the extended family.  He's the twins little dalmation puppy, a little brother for Jet.  He's such a cutie and Jet is really loving having him around.

Of course it wouldn't be  Friday without a few funnies...I found these doggy confesions and they made me chuckle.

Sorry I dont have more to smile about but hopefully my face will improve now and by next Friday I will have more to smiles.

Hugs,

Annie x

While waiting to visit at Frday Smiles, I read your WOYWW post. Sorry to read about your tooth. That side of your face was really swollen. The girls bunting is beautiful. I know it will soon look like Christmas in their home.

That new puppy is adorable. And I love the funnies, especially the cat supplying the socks!

I had hoped to make some ATCs and send them so you could pass them out at the crop, but that didn't happen. I can't seem to catch up anywhere. Enjoy and take tons of photos, dear Annie. I would LOVE to be there, but it is only a dream for me.

How awful! Having a tooth ache while away from home is the pits! I’m glad it’s all sorted now and you will soon feel better. I wish you strength getting on top of your work.
Just think of puppies, while you work. That will make you smile! The new puppy is so gorgeous!
All the best!
Have a nice weekend ( although you will probably be working and catching up).
Big hug,
Lisca

Hi Annie, pleased you got the tooth sorted but it doesn't sound nice!!! Loving the doggie pics but then I guess you know they would distract me. I think we are nearly ready. I will of course almost certainly forget something! Going to walk the dogs and then we hope to be off from here about 11.00am all being well! Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Have a lovely day. Hugs, Angela xXx

So sorry you have had such a painful week. On the bright side, that tooth won't be causing you any more pain in the future! Hope you feel much better soon.
I love dalmations, especially puppies. I am sure Reggie will soon find his place in the family, and Jet will enjoy his company too.
Those sort of funnies always make me smile. Fortunately none of my animals have been quite that naughty, even when they were very young. Kate x

something similar happened to me and it was horrible pain. I had to have the tooth removed too after a lot of intervention to fix it. Horrible! So sorry you had to go through it.
and nothing stopped the pain til I finally healed from the surgery.
Take care and look for distractions. That dalmation puppy with big brother is so pretty

I want to let you know I will more than likely not be around this Friday because I will be waiting at the courthouse to be called for voir dire.
