WOYWW.....

This is the one where I say sorry for being missing last week.....and yes I'm really sorry because I hate to miss out of my favourite day of the week but last week work really got in the way of having fun.  With the anouncement that from this Friday face masks would be mandatory in shops and enclosed places my world went crazy with orders.  Between 7 am on the Tuesday and 9.30 on the Wednesday I'd made and sold 110 masks!! ...hence why I couldn't join in last weeks fun.

I've also made these.....

These are just 5 of the Memory bears I have had orders for...many more are still on their way....and I'm loving the buzz.

There has been rather a lot of gorgeous fabrics bought from my friend Denise at Cabin crafts....this is just the one lot cos the second lot got cut up before I could take a photo sorry.

When you are making lots of face masks you just have to have lots of fabrics to make them with of course and I'm really loving using all these yummy fabrics to make them with.

And this is my desk this morning in full mask making mode.

We actually had the weekend away in our motor home...we both needed the break badly and it was so lovely to get back on the road again.  We went to Slimbridge, just south of Gloucester and had a really relaxing few days.

So, as you can see I've been very busy and I have lots more to come yet as I'm expecting about another 10 Memory bears [when they all turn up....probably all on the same day knowing my luck!!].

If you leave me a little message to let me know you've called in then I will do my best to pay you a return visit.
Hugs,
Annie x

I've had a look at Cabin Crafts after you'd mentioned her before and she has a great website, really well laid out and her prices are fair too. I would have ordered from her but chose to support my local lady in Carmarthen market instead - this time! I'm sure I'll be buying some in the future. Well done with the masks but I'm glad you managed to get away!

I'm glad you managed a few days away, Annie. It sounds like you deserved it. I've only made a fraction of the number of masks you have but they've been a steady flow since lockdown and some more were asked for yesterday. Maybe it will calm down a bit after Friday and you can move on to other things.
Take care and have a good week

Hi Annie. Ooo... Slimbridge! I love it there - I stayed near there last year when tootling around with the caravan. Had a great couple of days there. Sounds like you needed it after the mammoth mask making sessions! - not to mention the cuddly bears... Have fun this week.
Take care. God bless.

Thanks Annie for the visit. I too didn't do too well on comments last week, Somehow I just don't have that good feeling with all the trouble in our world. Have pretty much quit watching TV and news posts. This week has been better, both my sons have called and it helps so much. Mom was my rock, so starting over. You are so good with FABRIC!!! I was glad to read you took time away, it really does help. Hope you can do it again soon. AND I peep about seeing your grands growing so much and enjoying fun times. That too is where I hurt, No Visits this year, no air traffic for any of us. Stay Safe

Gosh you are busy, but at least it is 'keeping the wolf from the doors' as they say. Do hope you get a bit more time to enjoy yourselves though like you did at weekend.
Stay safe and keep stitching.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx
ps I will wear the stocking, honestly!

I did wonder if you'd suddenly get inundated with orders for masks! Still, it's a great excuse for lots of smaller pieces of different types of fabrics! Have a fantabulous week! Lisa-Jane #1

My mind went to you when the mask announcement was made, so no surprise to me that you’ve been super busy. They really are some nice fabrics, love the ditsy floral prints, they always make me want to sew something!

Wow all those masks bet you are seeing them in your sleep. Glad you managed to get away for the weekend. Used to love disappearing in our caravan to the very small sites with no electric etc so peaceful. Love to read your friday page my how your grandchildren are growing up. Ani
