WOYWW...

Another week has passed and wow it's been a great one here.....My darling hubby celebrated his 60th birthday on Monday.  Our wonderful family planned and organised a surprise party for their dad on Sunday without even me knowing anything about it!!!  There was about 30 of our closest family and friends there and it was really really special.....a few pics will follow on Friday cos there certainly was lots there to smile about  :-)

So? Being as you are all here today to see my desk I'd best show you what's on there...

My table seems covered with my house moving, stress busting, knitted squares....now up to 85 completed  :-)  I have a feeling by the time we get into this new home of ours I will have enough for blankets for every bed there  :-)

Shell has asked me to make pin boards for the twin's new bedrooms and here is the fabric they want them making with....
Lexi wants an owl theme and Sam wants robots on his.

Hopefully some time this week I will get these made so you might get to see them finished on next week's post.

And lastly here is a pic of the candle lit meal for two that we shared Monday night to celebrate the BIG birthday.  He had been given several restaurant vouchers from a collection they had for him where he works and thankfully he chose to take me with him  :-)

Cheers....here's to many many more happy birthdays to celebrate together.....love you lots xxxx

Thanks for calling by today.  If you leave me a little hello comment I will call in on you later to see what you've been up to this week.
Hugs,
Annie x

Hi Annie
I have Crotcheted blanket on my bed and I love it. It's like the biggest comfort blankie going.
Just sold mum's house so we are making arrangements for her move, good luck with yours when it happens.
My other half is 65 this year and he has a twin sister so we will be having a lovely family time in September.
Have a good week Annie.

Ah, Happy Happy returns to your lovely man..and what a wonderful surprise. 30 of your closest..my word, your extended must be hundreds!! Aren't restaurant vouchers a great idea, I'm not sure I ever thought about those before. Aw Annie, at this rate you'll have knitted the blankets and be moving on to crocheting beautiful lace panels for the windows. Actually..that's a nice idea..I may have to place my order!

Now you know you have done something special when the children plan and execute an event for you without your knowing. Got to love all the stress relief squares you are making. Might have enough for all the grandees new bed covers also. Have a great week. Vickie #52

Hi Annie, belated birthday wishes for your husband and how lovely of the family to surprise you both. Judging by that pile of knitted squares i think you are right, you will have a lot of blankets done by the time you've moved out. I love the fabric chosen for the twins pin boards, love the girly owls and the robots are just perfect for a boy. I hope you do find lavender growing in your new garden ... I'm looking forward to seeing mine in bloom. Have a great week and I look forward to seeing your Friday Smile post this week :) Hugs, Elizabeth x #76

Hope your hubby had a lovely birthday and tell him happy belated from me. Those kids know how to plan a surprise party. Not telling you may have been the smartest move on their part (grin).

Even with your desk packed away, you still continue to make those lovely squares. You had better get into that new bungalow soon, or all the local yarn shops will be out of yarn.

Thanks so much for your earlier visit and I'll see you on Friday. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Happy Birthday and Congratulations to D on his 'zero' birthday. It was my dil's birthday that day too and mine is just a week after. All good 'uns are Pisces!
Oh Annie, I hope that move hurries up or you will be suffocating in a mountain of knitted squares. Nothing wrong with them - they are lovely and I have enjoyed looking at them but it is about time you moved.
Lots of Love
