Here we are at another catch up with our Friday smiles. It's been a week of slow recovery from the bugs we have had for what seems like weeks. I think we are getting there...we have stopped running temperatures but the energy levels still need topping up.
We have the boys this weekend so I may have more smiles for next Friday but Theo managed to finish the ferris wheel he had been making using the K'nex. It was really tricky to make but he persevered and was so chuffed with the finished article.
Our garden continues to make us smile...the flowers keep blooming in every corner.
It wouldn't be a Friday without a few funnies....I hope something here raises a few smiles. Please leave me a little comment and then link up to your own smiles below.
It's been another week filled with smiles here at Sewing by Annie's.
It was Theo's 8th birthday on the 7th and here are a couple of photos from his birthday celebrations....it appears the big boy enjoyed it as much as the little boys :-)
Here's the twins proudly showing me their latest certificates....Lexi for her dancing and Sam for his singing. The give us so much to smile about...so very proud of them.
They will become teenagers on 20th of this month...where has that time gone?
I have found lots of funnies this week....this poem seems to have so many things right. :-)
There seems a funny to suit everyone this week.. I hope I've left you smiling and you will now link up to your own smiles below.
It's been a week filled with emotions of one kind or another.
The funeral last Friday was the largest one I've ever been to....there was almost as many standing outside the Crem as inside. The Celebrant lead a beautiful service and everyone commented on how perfect it all was.
Saturday was the WOYWW 15th Aniversary crop in Stoke and it was so lovely to be surrounded by such special friends. Our leader for 15 years, Julia, has handed over the baton to Sarah so there was a few words of thanks to Julia and a presentation of the collection that Jo managed to collect....so more emotions.
On Sunday we went to the theatre to watch the early KCDC dance show and this time it was not only Lexi dancing but little Theo also. Lexi danced in 14 different dances throughout the two shows during the day and even stood in front of the stage to lead the dances for the younger dancers. It was Theo's first time on the main stage and he danced in two different dances.....as you can imagine there were more emotions for this very proud Nanny Annie.
Here's a few photos of my little dancers. Theo loves his big cousin, as you can see.
I love rainbows and this one greeted me Monday morning....a great start to my week.
Here's my collage of the beautiful flowers in our garden this week...there seems something new to see each week....aren't we lucky? :-)
Here's a few funnies/smiles for you this week...they wouldn't fit in a collage so I've added them like last week.
This little mouse really made me smile.
There was something familiar about this photo ;-)
I hope you find something to make you smile and will leave me a little message before linking up to your own smiles at the bottom.
Hello all. I'm so sorry I was away last week....but it wasn't of my choosing. My internet was down and boy did I miss it.....thankfully it's all fixed now and we have been offered a month free as compensation for the poor quality we had had since the installation.....So now I'm smiling again :-)
I'm sharing a couple of pics I had ready for last week and this week's smiles...
This has to make you smile....it certainly has had me smiling.
I love the bright red colour of my amaryllis...Thanks Shell xx
Mark, Gina and the boys went to West Midland Safari park in the half term holidays and shared a few photos with me....Louie wasn't impressed with Bluey :-) :-)
Sam had to make his outfit to go back to school with....he was to be a Fyrd which was the name given to the army of Harold Godwinson.....it was made up of freeman or paidmen who would fight for the King of short durations and you usually had to supply your own weapons. This was to be used in the Battle of Hastings....and yes I did have to look it up :-)
I just love how creative he is and how hard he works.
Lexi loves Sushi and she even likes to make her own....I prefer my fish cooked lol.
We had little visitors at the weekend and Louie was really facinated in how his Grandad was fitting the ironing board to the top of my new trolley with hinges.....I'm sure he will be just like his Grandad and Daddy who turn their hand to anything.
Theo was keen to learn what stitches he could sew on my sewing machine and even learnt how to type in and write his name on it :-)
He next wants to learn how to make a tricky marble maze....watch this space :-)
Of course it wouldn't be a Friday without a few funnies...I hope something here makes you chuckle and you will leave me a little message before linking up to your own smiles below.
Here we are at another catch up of the smiles of the last week as we head towards Christmas. Wednesday evening we went to watch Theo in his Christmas nativity...it was wonderful. It was year 1 and 2 so lots of little ones giving their all. ....lots of smiles but no photos.
They went on a Christmas train ride at the weekend and I really love these photos they sent us.
We had Louie on Wednesday for a fun day then yesterday we had both boys....they do love each other and it's so lovely to watch....even if by the end of the day they were both very tired [and so were we :-) ]
Of course it wouldn't be a Friday without a few funnies....I hope you find something here to make you smile and will leave me a little comment before sharing your smiles by linking up at the bottom.
It's been a lovely week here at Sewing by Annie's. If you saw my Wednesday post you will have seen that we had some very special visitors here from South Wales and we have had some very special times together.....
Here's the one photo ....we are holding beautiful Christmas sparkly snow flakes that Jan gave us....I love mine and it's so lovely to imagine us each year hanging them on our trees to remember our happy time together.
Of course we still enjoyed a Louie fun day on Wednesday and I've made a collage from a couple of pics of him here with us and the other two are at their home decorating their Christmas tree....such happy memories.
This photo was taken from our kitchen of a pigeon sitting on top of our lilac bush....or our version of a partridge in a pear tree :-)
Finally here's a few funnies to make you smile. Please leave me a little message so I know you've called in and, if you can, then please link up to your own funnies below.
I've had another busy week with sewing around the two days we have Grandparent duties. I feel so blessed to be able to enjoy time with the Grandies around my sewing.
Tuesday was an early start as we had to be over at our son's to take Theo to school then at the other end of the day we collect him to come to ours for tea. The two boys play so beautifully together and Theo is so patient with a little brother who likes to be in his space all the time :-)
Little Louie has had a cough/cold for a few weeks [and has kindly shared it with us] and on Thursday he fell asleep as is normal on the settee and had 20 mins when he roused, climbed down off the settee, crossed the room to me, climbed up on my knee and went back to sleep for another hour :-)
I think he's just needing more cuddles with not feeling 100%....and I was more than happy to obligue.
He's enjoyed time with his Grandad having a story. It makes us chuckle because Grandad often puts his glasses on his head to be able to read and normally Louie objects and makes him put them back on his eyes.
Of course I also have a few funnies to share with you...I hope something makes you smile and you will then leave me a little comment before linking to your own smiles below.
It's another of those weekends when I write a post so you can all link up but am not sure I will be able to leave you all messages...I'm on an adventure :-)
It's been a quiet one with very few customers this week but as always I've kept busy with sewing for the charity I support and yesterday I had a bride and her bridesmaid here for fittings so I will have work to do next week. We have enjoyed lots of Grandparent duties this week. I have a few pics to share with you...
Dont you just love it when little ones loose their two front teeth? Theo lost the first one while on holiday in France and he's lost the other one this week...I'm not sure you can see but he already has his nice new big teeth pushing through.
Sam has been busy with his puppet making this week and has also been enjoying the costume making classes at his drama group.
We babysat the twins Wednesday night and while there Sam made a yellow puppet but the glue was still drying so no photo yet and the last one he has fabric to make is going to be a dalmation [they have a dalmation so he was thrilled to see I had given him some black/white spotty fur fabric].
I've snapped a few pics of my orchids alongside a few pics of the garden flowers this week....they keep making me smile.
Of course there has to be a few funnies...I hope none offend. I hope you will leave me a little message so I know you've called by and I will do my best to pop over to yours to see what's been making you smile.
It's been another bear filled week for me this week and they have given me lots to smile about....each one is different and I love learning a little about why each one is being made.....I love my job.
Shell has been fitting out the twins with their new school uniform for their secondary school. They look so grown up....can you believe it was 11 years since that 4lb little girl and 6lb little boy came into this world?
Theo and little Louie enjoy playing together now that Louie is older and it makes me smile to see them.
Louie normally likes to nap on his Grandad as you know but I was spoilt yesterday....we had been looking at some books and he snuggled down for his afternoon nap on my lap.....I love to watch a sleeping baby.
Our flowers continue to make us smile....there are soooooo many buds yet to open on the clematis in the top right....it's only going to get better.
Of course, I have to share a few funnies to make you smile too before I go. I hope you will leave me a little message before you then share your own smiles by linking up at the bottom.
