This week's smiles....week 193

Each week our numbers fluctuate of blogging friends joining in.  We all have busy lives and just sometimes we don't have a lot to smile about but I do hope that calling in here to share a few smiles makes the difficult week a little easier.  There were only four joining in last week so I would like to say a big thank you to all four of you for sharing your smiles with us......I'm not going to just pick one of you this week as it just wouldn't be fair.

The schools round here have been on half term holiday this week so my little munchkins have been out and about having fun and sending me pics of their antics to make me smile so I am sharing a few with you here....

Lexi and Sam have enjoyed a trip to Whittington castle and throwing the leaves on their way.

Phoebe, Lulu and Steve have been out into the fields to choose their pumpkin to carve with their daddy. :-)

Sam and Lexi enjoyed dressing up to have an early Halloween party with their friends.

And I just couldn't resist taking a pic of this gorgeous sky to share with you that we saw while out shopping the other night...

Isn't nature wonderful?  Skies like that always make me smile.

I hope you've enjoyed sharing my smiles and can manage to find a pic of something that had you smiling this week to share with us by linking it below.

WOYWW...

Did you miss me last week?.....hehehe  I doubt it but if you were wondering where I was then I will tell you....we took the day off and went to Tywyn for the day.....Milly's first trip to a beach  :-)

Well, as you can see I'm back now and I'm another year older so on my desk are some of my many birthday pressies....

I was well and truly spoilt and as you can see I have friends and family that know how to make me smile.....of course it's all at the stroking stage as yet but one day I will find something special enough to make using some of it.  I just love new fabrics.

I have lots of projects on the go at the mo but most of them are for presents so I'm sorry but I can't share the pics as yet.  I have, of course made more Memory bears since the last time I joined in so thought I'd add a pic here too...

These are two little Christmas bears using babygros....aren't they cute?

I have rather a lot of orders for Memory bears pending now [think it's 13 at last count!] so guess I could get pretty busy between now and Christmas.....plus all the other things I plan to make that I have buzzing round in my head in the middle of the night.  :-)

That's all from me for today....short and sweet just the way Julia likes it.  Please leave me a little message to let me know you've called by and I will pop over to yours to see what you're up to this week.

This week's smiles....week 192

Hello all.  Here we are at our catch up with the things that have made us smile in the last week.  Firstly I must thank those who took time out of their busy lives to share their smiles.....I do love seeing what makes you all happy.

I am featuring Kate's post from last week....I just love that tiny little gecko she rescued from her cat, Arwen. So tiny and yet so perfect....I just hope he survived the ordeal.  Thanks for sharing your smiles each week Kate.

I have many smiles each week.  Here's a few I thought you might like to share.....

For those who missed me on Wednesday it was cos we had taken the day off and took Milly for her first visit to the beach.  We went to Tywyn in Wales and had many smiles at Milly's reaction to the miles of sand and 'all that moving water'!

A lovely day was had by all.  :-)

We babysat this happy bunch on Saturday....as you can see when the camera comes out Poppy dog poses too  :-)

As you can see little Theo gives us all lots to smile about and here he is finding smiles for his daddy before he left for work on Sunday.  When you have to work away from home all week these special moments must help you survive.

My last pic is one that was taken last week but I hadn't managed to get on my blog til now.  It was so lovely to have a visit from Neet and that big sister of mine managed to join us too.  I really hope Neet's health improves soon.....sending you lots of love and hugs from us all Neet.

Those are a few of my happy moments from my week.  Please leave me a little comment to let me know you've called by and if you have smiles to share then link them up below.

This week's smiles....week 191

Here we are at out Friday catch up with the happy posts that get linked at the bottom of my page.  I try every week to focus on my happy times because life throws more than enough sad / difficult times to deal with doesn't it?

Many thanks to everyone who linked up last week.  I'm featuring Tilly's post from last week....she linked up a little late so some of you might have missed it and it's so full of happiness that I felt it was work checking it out.  It popped up on Mr Linky at a time I really needed a smile so thank you for linking up Tilly....It's never too late.

I seem to have lots of pics that have made me smile this week so here goes....

This is little Steve wearing his new birthday clothes.....he was 5 on Wednesday and last Sat evening we all went to his birthday party....A nerf gun party!  I must say that a great time was had by all and it was so good to see my three returning to their childhood ducking and diving behind obstacles to shoot each other ....and their dad!

As you can see little Theo had a gun too but just couldn't stay awake long enough to take aim.

 :-) :-) :-)

Theo paid the twinnies a visit this week....they do love their little cousin.

Lexi loves to show us just how flexable she is.....I wish I could do that don't you?

I thought you'd like to see this last pic too.  It's Amy's two girls, Phoebe and Lulu snuggled up together on the settee watching a film....sisterly love is just so special isn't it?

That's just some of my happy pics for this week.  Hope they make you smile too.  Please share your happy post by linking below and I will pop along to check them out as soon as I can.

WOYWW....

Hi all.  Many thanks to all who called by here last week....I think I managed to call in on you all but if I didn't leave you a message then I'm sorry....I will try to do better this week.

On my desk today is a pile of babygro bits.

The last customer to collect her Memory bear said she didn't want the left overs and you know me....I hate waste so I have sat and snipped out any pieces that might be usable.  She was thrilled with the little bear I made for her....they are proving very popular and I love making them.

I've also been working on the idea I shared with you last week.  I now have several bears in stock made in different colours and these three are now dressed in their finery ready for a wedding.....I thought they would make nice gifts for little bridesmaids or page boys especially if using fabrics to match the wedding.

The only other pic I'm sharing with you today is this one.  I've been asked if my new header is of a flower in our garden so I thought I'd share this pic to say yes it is but I'm sorry I don't know what it's called.  I love how it changes colour over the weeks and this morning the spiders had decorated it with cobwebs for me...isn't it pretty?

Of course Milly had to get in on the photo....just love her to bits. :-)

Please leave me a little message and I will do my best to get over to yours later....I've got a special friend calling in today to pick her sewing up so not sure what time I will get to call.

This week's smiles...week 190

Happy Friday to you all.  What a fab turn out we had last week.  Many thanks to all of you who linked up their smiles....I really love seeing what's making you all happy.

I'm featuring the gorgeous double rainbow that my big sister shared with us last week....we both love rainbows and that one really was stunning so thanks for sharing your photo Jo.

My smiles for this week are a couple of Theo who is one month old today. He never fails to make us smile .....

I had an afternoon with Theo, his Mummy and his other Nanny on Saturday while all our men were at the Shrewsbury town football game.  Little Theo lay on my eye spy quilt but as you can see he just wasn't playing the game with us [I'm sure there will be years of fun to come with it though]....he's such a  contented and happy baby.

When he woke he made us chuckle with his Usain Bolt impersonation.....either that or Superman!

This photo has to be my fav.....is that really just wind?  I don't think so.  To me it's just one very happy little man enjoying snuggles with his Mummy.

I hope you have enjoyed my smiles for this week and will link your smiles below so we can all share them.
Have a happy week and please come back again soon.

WOYWW...

Phew....I've blinked and turned round and here we are at another Wednesday drop in when we all travel the world through the blogs to see what our blogging friends have been busy creating in the week....whether it be paper crafting, painting or fabric crafting they are guaranteed never to be boring and you never know just what tips you might pick up on the way so why not pop over to Julia's for more details and link up to join in the fun.

It's a picture heavy post from me today cos there's been lots going on as always but I will be as brief as I can...

I was in need of new supplies so here are a couple of the things that have arrived this week to make me smile....
Two boxes of new threads and...

Three packs of Christmas fat quarters.  Plus I had two huge bags of new stuffing to fill my memory bears with.

After seeing the lovely Christmas coasters on Jan's [LLJ] last week I was inspired to make a few with some of my new fabrics.

I've made a few Christmas minions to go on Christmas trees....they are just waiting for hanging loops now.

Here's my latest Memory bear made out of a little girls first babygros....I'm rather pleased with how she's turned out.

I have 4 more Memory bears to make  at the end of this week out of a very special Great grandad's shirts to give to his 4 great grandchildren to keep in his memory....the idea is proving very popular.

This is my latest idea that I'm plotting and planning with.....Naked bear!

Some events that folk want to remember don't have items of clothing sufficient to make a whole bear with so I'm thinking of offering a naked bear that I can dress for them in clothing using the treasured items......

.....possibly a Christmas party dress or.....

....a pair of dungarees?  I am still tweaking the pattern to get them right but what do you think of the idea?

I'm open to suggestions so please tell me what you think [as long as it's not too rude of course :-) ].

There you go I did tell you I'd been busy....and that's just what I've been doing between my customers sewing!
Please leave me a little message and I will do my best to pay you a return visit when I can.  Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x
