This week's smiles....week 432

Hello all.  Happy Friday to you all.  It's been a busy week here at Sewing.  I've had a steady flow of customers and thankfully it's been a bit cooler to do all the work.

I've had lots to smile about too....Lexi was dancing on stage with her dancing group in the park in Shrewsbury at the weekend....they all did very well....proud Nanny Annie moments.

More proud moments with the news that Stephen has been signed up after his trials to play with Shrewsbury under 10s.....he's one very happy boy.

Theo had more x-rays this week and the Dr was very pleased with how it's healing.  He was given the choice to go without his plaster but needed to be careful....as his mummy said....there is no careful in a 4 year old little boy so it was decided to put it in a soft short plaster for a couple of weeks then hopefully it can come off.....He's rather pleased with his new red plater.

I thought this photo might make you chuckle....it did me.

Poppy's collar had come off so Betsy has picked it up and is trying to put it back on for her....they are such lovely dogs.  :-)

Finally here's a different colour scheme of our garden flowers for you this week.

Isn't it lovely that I have enough flowers to be choosey?

I hope you have all had a lovely week and have lots of smiles to share with us too.  Please leave me a message so I know you've called in and then link up to your own smiles below.

Hugs,

Annie x

This week's smiles....week 351

Here we are at the last weekly smiles before Christmas.  I won't be writing a post on the 27th so will be back with hopefully more smiles on Friday 3rd January....I'm sure you will all have too much going on next week to be blogging.

I have a few smiles to share with you today...

Wednesday afternoon we went to see these gorgeous three in their school Nativity.  They go to a church of England school so it's really lovely to see the children taking part in their Nativity.  It was Phoebe's last one at her Primary School so it was even more special this year.

Theo and his little friend got their first gymnastics badge this week ....they were so chuffed at getting their badges and are such good friends.  I really love the photos.

Amy sent me this gorgeous photo of their two dogs in front of their Christmas tree this week.  They are such lovely dogs and Molly has grown so much now that she's almost as big as Poppy.

And finally I'm just sharing this that Amy designed for me for my sewing business.  I hope you will all have a wonderful Christmas and 2020 will be filled with very many smiles that you can share with us all.  See you back here on Jan 3rd.
Huge hugs to you all,
Annie x

This week's smiles....week 326

It's been another wet week here at Sewing by Annie's but the smiles keep on coming thankfully.  We were away last weekend in our Motor home on a really lovely campsite with reliably excellent facilities in Builth Wells....we used to go there when our family was small and we had either a towing caravan or a trailer tent.  It's a family run site [the same family since 30 years ago] and is now run by the next generation who played with our three as children.

As you can see Milly loves the life of adventure.

Whilst there we had visitors....the children didn't know where they were coming to so were very surprised to see us.  We enjoyed lunch together and then went for a walk around the wild water swimming/boating lake on the site...I think next time they will be bringing their wetsuits :-)

Lexi was in Shrewsbury carnival on Saturday with her drama group and Shell volunteered to walk round with them so of course she had to dress up to.
Lexi also had to perform her tap dancing routine on stage in the quarry with her dance group.
Well done Lexi ....so proud of you.

Tuesday saw our little man helping his Grandad picking the first strawberries....all the rain has mean the slugs has got to some of them before us but as you can see there's still plenty to go round.....and Theo loves them :-)

Don't you just love this pic of Poppy and Molly?  Molly has really grown now and as you can see they are the best of friends.

I put a pic of the mystery plant in our garden on here on Wednesday and my clever friend Elizabeth has identified it for us.....its Purple Loosestrife, for those wanting to know, and at some point it should reward us with lovely purple flowers......Thanks Ellie [you're so clever].

I'm sure many of you will have noticed my new blog header....aren't the poppies gorgeous?
Here's my latest collage of garden flowers out and making us smile this week.

Finally I thought you'd smile when I show you the proof that I really do have something missing....it's been rumoured for many years now.

I hope I've managed to make you smile and you will now share your smiles by linking them up below.
Hugs,
Annie x

This week's smiles....week 310

Oh what a week filled with smiles it's been for me this week.  It's been half term holidays for my grandchildren so there's been busy, fun filled days for them and of course they share them all with me so here's a few collages of what they've been up to this week...

Lexi and Sam had a few days taking in the sights of London with their mum and dad and were so excited at all they saw....
  • London eye
  • Science museum
  • National History museum
  • Madame Tussauds
...to name but a few.

Steve had been encouraged to attend a goalkeeper training day because the trainers at his after school sessions had seen real potential in his playing. So on Friday he attended a day of goalkeeper training ....and at the end of the day he was given yet another award for player of the day....he really loves his football and we are all so proud of his achievements.

On Tuesday night Steve went for his matchday experience at the Shrewsbury Town ground for the Shrewsbury v Doncaster match.  He was one of the flag bearers when the players came out onto the pitch and then, during half time interval, the children played a game on the pitch...Steve in goals of course.

He not only made several really good saves but the crowd cheered him when he did....trust me when I say there was a very proud Daddy and Grandad watching him play....he's a star.

Not only that but Shrewsbury Town went on to win their game too so a very happy hubby came home Tuesday night.

Lulu was really chuffed Tuesday night when she gained her Golden badge at Brownies....more sewing for Nanny now I guess.  :-)

We have a new family member this week too....meet Molly puppy.  Amy and family have been searching for a while now for another puppy, a friend for Poppy dog.  They searched and chose very carefully and managed to find the perfect litter bred with children in the house and fetched little Molly home on Sunday morning.

We popped over to see her on Sunday afternoon and she is simply adorable and as you can see has settled in very well at her new home.

On top of all that excitement we also went with Mark and Gina for a second viewing at a 4 bedroomed house they fancied and I'm really pleased to say they have now put in an offer and it's been accepted....please keep everything crossed for them.

So, as you can see it's been a really busy week for me and the family...and it doesn't stop there because  Sunday is 3rd March and my darling hubby will be 65....he will be retiring in July so there will be lots of smiles and celebrations up and coming.  Happy Birthday gorgeous man....love you to the moon and back.
Hugs,
Annie x
