This week's smiles....week 131

Happy Friday to you all.  What a lovely lot of you joined in last week....we had so much to smile about :-)  Thank you to each and every one of you for helping to make the world a happier place to be.

I'm featuring Kate's post from last week.  Kate joins in almost every week and has so much to smile about her life over in Spain.  Last week she added a cartoon that really made me chuckle because since we had to have our one little dog put to sleep her brother has followed me from room to room and if I sit down he likes to sit as close to me as he can.....the cartoon could have been written/drawn with him in mind :-)  Thanks Kate for sharing it.

My smiles this week have been many and the first pic proves my point......

I had gone out into the garden to snap a few pics and the moment I sat down Rocky was sat at my side.....He's an old man now and sleeps a lot of the time.....that is until he hears me get up to move :-)

I thought you might like to share the flowers in our back garden at the mo so I've put them together as a collage for you.....so many of them have self-seeded and come free with our new home and each and every one of them makes me smile.

Here's a quick snap of the latest progress with the building....the footings have now been built and have been back filled.  Next week they are coming back to start the walls and will soon be coming to make a start on my sewing room
 :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

My last pic is for all you gardening experts out there.  This is one of the plants we inherited and have waited to see what it might turn out to be when it came into bloom.....but now it has we have no idea what it is.

Do any of you know what it might be? [You should be able click on the pic if you want a closer look].

Thanks for popping over to share my smiles.  Please link yours up below and I will be over to see what has been making you smile as soon as I'm able.  Have a great week.
Hugs,

This week's smiles....week 116

Hello all.  I'm really hoping you've all had a fab week with lots of smiles [some of which you will link up below and share with the rest of us......please].

Thanks to those of you who linked up last week.  I'm featuring Sylvia's post from last week.  Her pic of the two little ducks really had me chuckling and made me think we should have a little challenge from time to time here on a Friday......a think of a slogan to go with a pic sort of challenge :-)

If you'd like to have a bit of fun here's my pic that I'd like you to write a slogan for today...

My slogan is....'You can get two for one at Specsavers and they said pink is the new black but I'm not so sure'

My smiles this week have been many as always and today I'm sharing a couple, both of which were taken outside enjoying the lovely weather we have been having...

My son in law has been refashioning their back garden [they also only moved last year so he's been making it theirs and more child friendly].  The twins have a new area that they can play in now and their mummy helped them into one of the trees to pose for a pic....they now have a new button swing hanging in this tree......and if only Lexi could have kept the camera running long enough we could have seen their mummy showing them how to use the swing.....needless to say the tree is now minus one of it's branches cos it just wasn't up to the strain :-) [No daughter was hurt in the accident but a lot of giggles was had by all :-) ].

The other pics I'm sharing are the gorgeous flowers in our garden at the mo....some are being moved to make room for our new extension so I have been snapping pics while they are at their best.

Feel free to click on the collage if you'd like a closer look....they are sure to make you smile :-)

That's all from me for today.  Our youngest daughter Amy is 30 this weekend so we will be enjoying a party with all the family and friends so I know we will have lots to smile about....hope you will too and will link them up below.

Hugs,

Things happen for a reason.......

As most of you will know for the last 10 plus weeks we have been attempting to buy a bungalow.  Yes, I say attempting!  We have had a real battle on our hands and have got nowhere fast.  We have been on the phone most days to the estate agent but with no luck at all.  When eviction orders were mentioned by an ex partner of the lady living there we decided that we really didn't want to get involved and although we have invested a lot into the property [in time, emotions and money!] we decided to cut our losses and move on.

Our buyers for here are a really lovely young couple with two small children and they have already moved out, put their stuff into store and are now living with family so we felt we had to look again for another new bungalow so that we didn't keep them waiting any longer....thanks to them for being so patient.  :-)

We have spent the last week searching for another property and have found another bungalow not too far from the last one.  It's still on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, the right side of the town for my hubby's work and is close to our wonderful family.  We went for a first viewing last Wednesday and fell in love with it.  We put an offer in that was accepted on Friday morning and have been back with several of our family members this morning to measure up.  The bungalow is empty and the seller, like us, is keen for a quick sale so hopefully we will be on the move very soon.

So here it is folks...

It has two large bedrooms, one with en suite, a large dining room that yours truly will be using as her sewing room  :-) :-) :-) and it is carpeted throughout making it really warm and cosy.  We have all felt very at home there.  It will need a new kitchen and probably a new heating boiler but that's a fraction of the work the other bungalow needed and all very doable......in fact it will be really lovely to put our mark on our new home  :-)
