WOYWW.....

It's Wednesday again folks......where does the time go?

Jo and I have had a busy week sorting out our blog shop and would like to give the heads up to all our WOYWW friends that there are 4 goodie bags full [only 3 bags left now!] of Crafter's accessories up for grabs in the January sale.  We have cleared off all that was left on the Crafter's accessories shelf and made up four bags with goodies worth over £40.00 each and they are going on a first come first served basis for just £10.00 a bag!!!  Just click here to have a look and email either Jo or I and we will put your name on the one of your choosing.

I have emptied all my wool rovings out onto my table today to have a good sort through and decide what colour my next Feltie will be so here's my mess in all it's glory .....

What a table full of yumminess.

I am really loving making my new range of Love Bugs and thought you would like to see them all sat together on my desk today....

You can see the latest addition that has been added after our Funday Monday afternoon on the right of the pic.  Her name is Love Bug Flutter and she has now joined the others in the blog shop.

The other photo I wanted to show you today is my one I am calling.....

'the promise of things to come'
Everywhere I look in our garden there is new life.  There are bulbs shooting up everywhere and a lot of our shrubs are also shooting out little buds of life.  I love this time of year.  :-)

Thanks for calling by today.  If you would like to leave me a little hello comment I will do my best to pay you a return visit in between my sewing jobs today.
Hugs,
Annie x

The start of a new Valentine's Day range....

Meet Love Bug Lucy.  She has spotty heart shaped wings at the back and is sat on a felted leaf.

She is the first of a new set of Felties over in the blog shop with Valentine's Day in mind....but I'm sure she would be loved as a gift at any time  :-)

If you would like to adopt her email me at wipso@toucansurf.com or if you have something else you would like, I love a challenge, so just give me the details.

Meet Ellie...

I have been having such fun making new feltie characters and thought you just might like to meet the one I have made during my Funday Monday with Jo.

This is Ellie.  I have been using some of that gorgeous new wool rovings that I bought a few weeks back from Sara at Crafts of Texture.  If you are a dumfer like me you really should try out Sara's wool rovings cos they felt up so beautifully.  I have really enjoyed making all of my latest little characters with it......of course I did have to spend some time stroking it first cos they were such yummy colours.  This does of course mean I just may be tempted to buy some more now....I popped over to her site earlier and I see she has lots more gorgeous new colours over there.

I have put Ellie on the feltie shelf over in our blog shop and she has been making friends with Huffle the baby dragon.  Please email me if you wanted to offer her a good home.

WOYWW...

Another week has gone and we creep even closer to Christmas....Most of my cards are now made, written and sent  :-)  It's been a busy week of festivities too.

15 of us went on the Llangollen Santa train on Saturday.

You should be able to click on the pics for a closer look if you'd like to......happy memories were made :-)

I have also been busy sewing and crafting this week.

These are 3 of the 5 little mice I made this week that are already on their way to a new home in Belgium as I type.  :-)

Some of you gave me inspiration last week for a new feltie but I bet you have 'no eye deer' what this is  :-) :-) :-)

Of course you just knew it was a little reindeer didn't you?  Here he is finished and he is now sitting on the feltie shelf over in the shop waiting for a new home for Christmas.

The last pic I have to share with your today is of Rocky and Wispa with their new hair cuts....yes of course their cushions have now been put by the radiator cos since they had their trims the weather has turned very cold here....it was -3 here this morning and guess what?
....our central heating boiler started throwing out black smoke Monday afternoon so the heating had to go off til it's fixed!!! Brrrrrrr

Well folks that's all from me for today.  Hope you have enjoyed your visit and are all well and happy and looking forward to Christmas now.  If you leave me a comment I will pop over to say hello in between my sewing jobs.  Have a great week.
Hugs,

Huffle is finished....

You may have seen my latest little feltie character in the making on yesterday's post and wondered what would develop.

Well here he is.....

Meet Huffle the latest baby dragon to be put on the Feltie shelf over in the blog shop.  He was made with some really yummy sunshiny random wool rovings so this has given him a cheery little character.  I'm sure he will brighten up the day of who ever decides to adopt him but for now he is sat with his new friends Monty mouse and Charlotte over on the shelf.  If you would like to offer any of my felties good, loving, caring homes please email me.  :-) [They each come boxed and with their own adoption certificate.]

Now for those that thought he just might have been a certain reindeer with a red nose....that has given me ideas....after all I did see a couple of those last night and they just might pop up to say hello to you all in my Friday's post for this week.  :-)

Pufflette needs a home....

I have been busy dumfing whilst watching telly in the evenings over the weekend and thought you might like to see the latest feltie that has gone into the blog shop this morning....

I made him from some of my new wool rovings that I bought from Sara last week.  This was the blended merino wool rovings called Summer fruits.  It was so lovely to work with and is such a yummy colour.  If you would like to give Pufflette a home [and of course he can only go to the best of homes] then please pop over to the shop to check out details and email me so I can mark him up as sold  :-).

Jo will be down later for our Funday Monday and I think we will be making a few more little Christmas mice as I sold the last of them over the weekend.
Hope you have a great day......I know we will  :-)

WOYWW....

Hello to all my Wednesday visitors.  As always it's been another hectic week over here at Sewing by Annie's.

Jo and I were joined by another new crafty friend on Monday afternoon and the three of us enjoyed creative fun, giggles and most of all friendship.  They say most folk can count good friends on the fingers of one hand...well I know I am truly blessed cos I just don't have enough fingers for all mine.  :-)

Yesterday was my day with the munchkins so it was another day of fun and giggles for me.  They are both growing up so quickly and I am loving every minute of watching them develop....for those who like to see them you will enjoy my Friday pics this week....they are up to mischief and were caught in the act!

So for those calling by to see what I've been creating this week here are a few pics....

My table started off like this this week with lots and lots of chosen wool rovings on it and the start of a week of hand dumfing....yes teddies this week.  I buy my rovings from Sara and am now waiting for my next order.  My biggest job was to decide which colours to get next cos she has such a lovely selection.  Do pop over to browse if you're looking to buy rovings.

By the end of my week I had completed a large order of requested felted bears....Aren't they just gorgeous?  Each one takes on it's own little character and I've had such fun making them all.

I was also challenged to dumf a cock and this is the little character I came up with....What do you think?

I was also commissioned to make a special dolly for one of my friend's little Granddaughter.  She had to have curly blond hair and a dress designed to match the little girl's.  I can now share this pic of her with you cos she has arrived safely through the post and I'm thrilled to say she loves her as much as I did.

The other thing I thought I'd share with you today is a shoe box I was given by one of my newest customers.  She said she had been clearing out and could I use any of the contents.  It was like Christmas come early for me.....there are buttons, bias tapes, velcro, safety pins, elbow patches, iron on hemming tape, etc etc  As you can imagine it will all get used here in due course so this was a real gift to me.

Well folks, that's all from me for now.  Don't forget to pop by on Friday to see what children get up to when your back is turned!
If you leave me a comment I will do my best to call by at yours to see what you've been up to this week.
Hugs,

Friday's smile

I seem to have so many things that has happened in the last week that has made me smile.

My birthday was celebrated with my darling hubby taking the day off  from work so we could enjoy some quality time together including lunch out  :-)  In the evening the men had a football match to go to so Jo joined me with my gorgeous three children, my son's finance and my wonderful 5 little grandchildren.....we had just the best evening ever with lots of fun, giggles, birthday cake and our sitting room was filled with love....who could ask for more?

Hubby and I have been sorting out the attic....lots of bags full of those things you just might want one day but never do have been taken to the charity shop or tip and bags full of teddies, dolls and our children's toys have been sorted and handed over for them to keep in their own homes if so wished.  One of my pictures today is off little Steve playing with just a few of his mummy's teddies.....she used to have 100s and kept records of them all sat on the shelves in her bedroom  :-)

I have a feeling he has the same love of bears that his mummy had but I just know some of her bears will be put well away from the children because I know they still hold very special memories to her [and me too].

The other pic I'm sharing today is the latest feltie I've just finished.  Her name is Rose and she is now waiting over in our blog shop for someone to adopt her

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,

Garden magic and a special order feltie...

Yesterday we picked more of the wonderful produce from our garden and with a bit of chopping and cooking the onions and beetroot together with some apples, sugar and vinegar were transformed into.....

....... some really yummy beetroot chutney...I know it's yummy cos we had some in a sandwich at lunchtime today :-)

Also my other show and tell of today is a cute little bride bear I have been asked to make for a blogging friend. This is my latest feltie creation who I have named Grace. She is a one off feltie but I would be willing to make similar to order for anyone wanting one.

Meet Madeleina.....

For those of you who were making guesses at my latest creation yesterday I thought I would do a show and tell. Some of you thought she was an elephant and for that she says she forgives you....it was the camera shot :-)
Her name is Madeleina and she is a little French ballet dancing mouse.
She will be uploaded in the shop in the near future.

WOYWW....

These Wednesdays seem to come round quicker each week....or is it I am just sooooooooooo busy at the mo?
It's been another manic week with yet more wedding dresses to alter. I am steaming a Wedding dress today so it will be windows and doors open to allow a breeze through and stop me melting.

I aim to have at least 20 minutes of creative crafting every day even on my busiest days but at the mo my mojo has well and truly gone walk abouts so I have been knitting or crocheting because I can do that on automatic.

Here is a little baby blanket I am working on this week. It's using really lovely rainbow coloured wool and I have used a pattern Suz taught me when she called in for coffee last Friday. Suz is a blogging friend that I have left comments for over many months but only this last week we have realised we only live about 10 miles apart!....isn't blogging wonderful? She is a really talented lady who creates some amazing crocheted items and has been very willing to share her ideas......do pop over to her blog to check it out cos it's well worth a visit.

So? what's on my desk today?.....nothing! I have cleared my little 'to do' rail of all other sewing jobs and just have a Wedding dress to steam this morning and another wedding dress to finish the alterations on [but that will take me the rest of the day!] .
So......

.....here's what was on my desk last night. The football season has started again so it's fun time for Twiglet and I. You can just see Twiglet's hands in the bottom left hand corner busy creating and yes girls, those are two glasses in the middle of the table cos we are still celebrating [ my customer numbers are already up to 1005!! ].
I sat dumfing a new feltie and...

....here is a sneak at what I'm making. Can you guess what it is yet? She isn't quite finished yet but already has a ballet dress and tiara this morning :-) Watch this space as they say.

Now girls pop over to Julia's blog to find out more about WOYWW and please join in the fun. I believe we hit an all time record last week of folk joining in the fun. But be warned....it is addictive :-)

My latest creation.....

I would like to introduce you to my latest feltie. Her name is Charlotte and she is made of a beautiful mixed wool roving that was bought from Sara at Woolfest, Builthwells. She will be uploaded in the shop later

My weekend's 20 Minuters [and more!]

Just a quick blog to show you what I've been up to over the weekend and introduce you to 3 new little characters that will be appearing in the shop soon.

Dylan Dragon

Humphrey Hippo

Lulu Elephant

I will probably give them a little bit of tweaking in day light later to perfect their finish but I'm rather fond of all three. They all have really cute characters and parting with them may not be easy.

Exciting Developments....

Our Fun Day Monday has been used wisely today. Our shop is slowly taking shape and the shelves are filling up nicely. Mrs Overall has dusted down the shelves and much giggling and squealing ensued as the little pocket bears and felties were popped on a shelf next to each other. Following a squabble amongst the puppets, the giggle of Iggies convinced me to use their photo for the link to their shelf in the shop.
In the next day or so we hope to fill the gift, card and the picture shelves. We would love you to pop over to have a look so please use the link to Sisters Crafty Creations on the right of this blog. Please let us know what you think by leaving us a comment in the feedback blog at the top of the shop.
Thank you.
