This week's smiles....week 247

Hello all.  I hope you've all had a lovely week filled with smiles and you will share them with us all by linking them at the bottom of the page.  Many thanks to those who join in each week....I really love to see what's making you all smile so please keep up the good work.  It's good for us to smile so consider it your therapy for the week  :-)

It's been a rather trying week here but as always I have smiles I can share....

My little twinnies have been trying on their angel outfits they will be wearing at the school end of term nativity.....cute little angels eh?

Milly has been getting to know a new toy we treated her too because her little brown dog favourite is alas perished and I'm struggling to get it to fit inside the replacement covers I make.....I'm sorry to say that even though this is meant to be a tough toy it may not be tough enough for our little Milly as I've already had to repair it twice!!

I thought this pic might raise a few chuckles....I'm making some Christmas fairies/angels for the fayre that's up and coming....here they are hanging as glues are drying waiting for their wings to be made and if you listen very quietly you can here them singing.....'I wish I could fly'.  For those that don't know the song I mean here's a link for you...
I have a feeling you will be humming this for a while now.....I have been  :-)

And finally I thought I'd share a few pics of the autumn colours in our garden at the mo plus a few of the flowers that as yet haven't been nipped by the early morning frosts.....such gorgeous colours out there aren't there? Sorry if some of the pics are a little blurred but it was a blustery day and the flowers wouldn't sit still for me.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit today.  Please leave me a little message so I know you've called in and if you can then link up to your own smiles.
Hugs,
Annie x

This week's smiles...week 49

Here we are at the last Friday before Christmas and I'm sure you are all like me in that you have had lots of smiles lately.  The two nativities that our Granddaughters Phoebe and Lulu were in went off without a hitch and the two girls did their parts very well....proud Grandparents here  :-)

Several of you took time out of your busy lives to join in the fun this last week and for that I thank you very much.  Today I am featuring my 'much older' sister Jo's blog ....she has been knitting for Sam and Lexi and I just know the Peppa pig she showed us last week will be much loved by Lexi and there will be big smiles all around because of it so thank you Jo for all your efforts.  I would also like to give a quick head's up to Lyn's pic of the dog that I felt was auditioning for the part of Mary in the nativity!....if only the towel was Blue eh?  :-)

I have a few quick pics to share with you today that caused us lots of smiles this week....

Here's our little Angel Lulu in her playschool nativity looking a little nervous.  What a gorgeous angel she made.

Lulu is only 3 but writing her Christmas cards has taught her to write her name....clever girl Lulu Nanny is so proud of you.....of course her name really is Louise :-)

This pic made me smile too....I was in the kitchen clearing away the lunch things and I could hear the twins talking [ plotting?... me thinks ] .  When I peeped round the door to see what they were up to [you have to keep an eye on these two little monkeys as you can imagine!] I found them sat together on Nanny's chair reading books to each other  :-)  Precious moments eh?

Thanks for dropping by this week.  Please share your happy moments by linking them below.

Here's hoping you all have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy and exciting New Year.
Hugs,
Annie xxxx

My second Christmas angel has arrived....

I got home from shopping yesterday afternoon to find something very special waiting for me in my post box.  I had joined in the angel swap that Jo from Jozart had organised.  I swapped the first angel with Jo and the second one was kept a secret.  I have been waiting patiently not knowing where she was coming from and had really hoped she hadn't got lost in the post but yesterday my secret angel arrived.....it was well worth the wait too cos she had flown all the way from Slovenia  :-)  She is called Michaela and was made for me by Dolores [aka Cardarian].

Here she is with the gorgeous card Dolores has made too.  Thank you so much....I love her and she is even more special cos she is from a blogging friend from over the seas....Isn't this WOYWW group just wonderful?
Thanks must go to Julia for organising the group, to Jo for organising the swap and of course to Dolores for all the work she put in to making my angel so special.
Hugs,
Annie xxxx
