Hi all. It's been another quality family week for me. I've really enjoyed being needed by Shell during her recovery from her surgery and have enjoyed all the extra play time with my little twinnies munchkins. Out of a difficult time has come lots of positives.
Thanks to all of you who joined in the fun last week. I would like to welcome Geri for joining us for the first time and hope you will all pop over to say welcome and to check out her amazing paintings....very life-like even the spiders!!!!
This week I'm sharing...
Another couple of treasures I've found in our new garden...
A beautiful papery white poppy and...
....a pretty pink cyclamen hiding under the bushes.
A picture of some of the fun and giggles with my munchkins....do you remember playing twister?
We had another special third birthday at the weekend. Steve really loves tractors and here he is blowing out the candles on his tractor cake.......
....and here he is playing on his new tractor. What a happy boy he is....always smiling.
So there you go girls thats just a few of the captured moments that have had me smiling this week. Please snap a few of yours and share them by linking up below.
My smiles concern my family again this week. I have a couple of tales to share with you and a few pics. As the saying goes....'out of the mouths of babes'.....
As most of you will remember my little granddaughter Lulu [Louise] has just started school. She's not 5 til next April but has already shown them her character in that she has been chosen to be the school council representative for the reception year children. She went to her first school council meeting last week and when her mummy asked if things had gone ok she said it had. Her Mummy asked what had been said at the meeting [showing interest as any good mummy would ] and the reply came back....'I'm not allowed to tell you. It is confidential you know!'.....yes she really is only 4!! She never fails to amaze us and always makes us chuckle :-)
I look after the twins a couple of days every week and we have such wonderful conversations now. Monday morning Lexi was chatting while eating her breakfast and the conversation went like this....
Lexi...I saw a caterpillar on the floor by the door Nanny.
Me...Oh did you darling and what colour was it?
Lexi...It was green and um.....black
Me...and was it going creep creep like this....my finger pretending to be a caterpillar crawling on the breakfast table.
Lexi...Oh no Nanny....it was dead!!
She does make me giggle at times!!
And a few of snaps that made me smile this week...
We celebrated the twins third birthday this week and here they are putting a lot of effort into blowing the candles out on their birthday cake ...I hope all their wishes come true :-)
Here they are chilling out the day after their birthday with their new children's ipads....they are so IT wise at such a young age these days and really love to show you what they can do with them. :-)
When I went to look after them on Tuesday this week I took with me their Uncle Mark's K'Nex construction set. Mark used to really love creating with it when he was young and it has been stored safely for use by the next generation since :-)
I spent a little while showing them how the pieces clicked together and then let their imaginations do the rest....Oh what a fab hour was spent playing with it.
Just look at the concentration!
I asked what she was making and she told me this was her flower garden....of course!
Happy happy times....I do get tired but I wouldn't miss this precious time for all the world.
So folks there are a few things that have made me smile this week....how about you?
Please leave me a little hello comment to say you've called by and if you have a smile or two of your own why not share them by linking them below and make the world a happier place to be.
Where does the time go? Here we are on another Friday full of happy smiley blog posts. I do so love popping round all that join in the fun here each week to see what is making you all smile so thank you all for joining in.
My blog of the week his week has got to be Carol's at Smile at the flowers. She has so many wonderful things that had made her smile and it was so lovely to share them all with her so please pop over to say hello. I came away from her blog really feeling full of Spring....yes I do believe it is nearly here now. :-)
My weekend was full of smiles this week.
We joined our son Mark and his fiance at Carden Park Hotel, where they are having their wedding reception at next year, for lunch on Saturday and I have to say they have made a good decision......its a beautiful venue and I'm certain they will make their day very special for them there.
Sunday was our little granddaughter Lulu's 3rd birthday party at her house. She still has chicken pox but that didn't stop her from enjoying the day. They had Diddi dance there to entertain the little ones and I have to say the lady that organised them was brilliant and a great time was had by all so this week I have made you a collage of all the fun and games at the party....you should be able to click on the pics to enlarge them if you want a closer look.
And of course I know you would love to see little Lexi [with a little help from her brother Sam] wishing her cousin a Happy Birthday so here she is...
Happy, happy soooo happy
I hope you are smiling now and feel like joining in the fun this week by linking in your own happy pictures. Please try cos the world really is a happier place when you're smiling.
Happy 3rd Birthday to you all and especially to our wonderful organiser, and super glue that holds us all together, the one and only, Julia. What a wonderful 3 years it's been too. Thank you Julia for all your hard work.
My show and tell today is of all the ATCs I've been making to celebrate. I shall be posting one to the pass it forward WOYWWer and if you would like to swap with me but haven't emailed me your details please email me your address to wipso@toucansurf.com and I will get one off in the post to you. I've made some really wonderful blogging friends over the last 3 years.
Some little daisies dumfed on blue backgrounds. For those that still don't know what we mean by dumfing please check out the link in the right side bar.
4 little ATCs using ribbons, lace trims, machine embroidery and tiny buttons.
9 ATCs made from little dumfed pics with fabric flowers and most are beaded too.
These two are dumfed pics with poppies....those that have known me a while will know poppies are one of my favourites. I've hand embroidered details on these and added little black beads.
I've really enjoyed being creative and think I'm now hooked on making ATCs so thanks to Julia for suggesting it as our birthday celebration gift. Hope you all enjoy the rest of the birthday celebrations. Please leave me a little message before you pop over to Julia's to join in the Wednesday fun and I will do my best to pay you a return visit.
Hugs,
Annie x

Happy Monday to one and all.
Yesterday was our oldest granddaughter Phoebe's 3rd Birthday and I just wanted to share a few snaps of the happy day with you.
We started off the partying at the Ballpool at the Flash in Welshpool for an hour of fun and laughter. This was perfect because there were lots of little ones and Phoebe was the eldest.
Then we drove back to the house and had the party food and presents. As you can see the first parcel that was opened was new wellies and she wore them for the rest of the day. :-) Here is the birthday girl entertaining us singing 'Postman Pat' on her new mike.
She had a new bike too for her birthday from her Mum and Dad and you can see she loves it.
The birthday cake was made by clever Auntie Gina [my son's girlfriend] and what an amazing job she did with it too don't you agree?
Here is little brother Stephen showing off one of the new bibs that Louise sent me for him. Thank you so much Louise...they fit to perfect and are a big hit with the family.
