It's been another week of fun and adventures for us this week. I was MIA again on Wednesday because we were on a beautiful campsite called New Lodge Farm at Bulwick in Northamptonshire....
It was an adults only site so was really quiet and the facilities were spotless. We had gorgeous skies and they were often filled with Red Kites flying and I have never seen so many pied wagtails.
We went to Rutland Water, with beautiful views over the reservoir and many water birds and enjoyed lovely walks with Milly.
Before we left home we went to Shrewsbury Theatre on the Saturday to watch Lexi in Moana....as you can see Mark, Gina and Theo came with us and I had lots of snuggles while we were there.
Lexi is the smallest in the teenage group of actors [she's only just 10!] and was really brilliant at playing her parts.....lots of very proud Nanny Annie moments.

On return home from out camping adventure these beautiful tomatoes greeted us in our little greenhouse....they have been late ripening this year but wow have they been worth the wait....they are so tasty.
Finally, for those that enjoy my flowers, I have snapped these pics. If you look closely you will see that the bees also enjoy them. The one sunflower plant that grew from a seed that dropped from the bird feeders now has 12 blooms on it....I call that value for our money :-)
That's all from me for this week. Work is still pretty quiet but I have started my Christmas makes while I'm quiet so if you'd like to see what I'm making then please call back on Wednesday.

Your sunflowers are so much prettier than mine. Sadly, they are the only color in my garden this month. Everything else is going dormant.
That campground looks lovely. I'm sure you are getting your money's worth out of it and the fun you are having in it.
Theo looks SO grown up. Seems that happened just in the past few months, too. I love that photo of the two of you.
Reading will take Steve far in life. Children who are good readers are curious and educated. I think that is admirable he likes books so much. A very proud moment for you, too.
Wow. Lucky you. My ONE tomato plant was gone before it even got little flowers on it. Yours looks wonderful. Enjoy your Friday and the rest of your weekend, too. I may be late visiting everyone today since I have even MORE appointments today. That also means I need to get to bed now.
I can see why you love having the camper van so much. I just wish we had some safe way of escaping, I am really feeling it now. I would like to say Cabin fever but that'd my only means of escape really and the garden. We even went to Sainsbury's supermarket for a change of scene this week. Great photos of your latest trip away; I've been enjoying good weather this week on my week off work, though only been out for days here and there. Good to see Stephen reading avidly too. Well done on your tomatoes, it's been a bad year for them (blight, due to the wet) - even Kew's failed them!

Your flowers are beautiful. I have never know a sunflower to have so many flowers on it. They make a super patch of colour, and look great alongside the purple ones (Not sure what it is, but maybe a Stonecrop?).

what fine tomatoes! I watered mine all summer but it was too hot to grow them here in Aurora CO. Now that the nights are at least cooler, a tomato showed up and dh asked if I was able to fry one tiny little green tomato?
What a lovely break you've had! It looks like a really nice camp site. Rutland Waters is great. We have fond memories of that.
Well done Lexi on her acting and dancing. Theo looks a big boy all of a sudden. How does he like school?
Well done Stephen for liking books. It is so good when children read a lot. It will teach them so many things in an entertaining way. One can travel the world through books.
