WOYWW....with body parts

Hello to all my wonderful blogging friends. My friend Mojo is away on her holiday but I am doing my best to manage without her just now.....I'm sure she will come home soon with her batteries recharged and with lots of creative ideas so I'm happy to wait.  :-)
I have a few pics to share with you to show you what I am doing in the mean time....

I've finished my last 'fish and chip' set and now posted it to Dawn ready for them to be shipped out to Africa.....If you still have any waiting to be posted don't forget to get them posted soon cos there is a final deadline coming up.

As you know we were asked not to make them pale colours so I made this one out of some bright random wool I had....fab or what?

Yesterday was a munchkin day so that Mummy could get some school planning done and here they are saying hello to all their blogging Aunties from the reading corner  :-)  They have had high temps this week with a nasty little bug....Lexi had it first and was kind enough to share it with Sam!  Thankfully they are little fighters and seem to be shaking it off now.

At long last I have made a display of all the wonderful ATCs I received in the 3rd birthday WOYWW swap.  I have attached them to 1" wide cotton tape and fixed the tape over the door of one of my wall cupboards....I'm rather pleased with the finished result too and am able to sit and admire all my wonderful talented friend's work while I am here typing at the computer....thank you all so much.

This is what you call perks of the job....these are trimmings off some gorgeous vintage lace I had to use for one of my customers.  He rebuilds and referbs old vintage caravans and I was honoured to be asked to make the curtains and blinds for his latest one.....I'm sure these bits will be put to good use in some creative moment [that is when Mojo gets back from her holidays!].

I can here you all saying..."so where are the body parts Annie?"

Here they are.  You will be pleased to know they are only dolly body parts.  :-)
It's the twins 1st birthday coming up next month....where has that time gone?!!!!.....Their mummy has asked if I will make them each one of my rag dolls so this is the work in progress.
I'm just waiting for a new bag of stuffing to arrive to finish off the bodies.  I promise I will show you more as they progress.  :-)

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today.  If you would like to leave me a little message I will do my best to pay you a return visit in between my sewing jobs today.
Hugs,
Annie x

Just got a few minutes to say hello before I dash out. Love your ATC display - a great way to enjoy them. I can't believe the twins are almost one year old already - where does the time go! I take it that was one curtain making job you didn't mind at all - love those caravans too. Have a great day and happy WOYWW. Elizabeth x #56

A whole year has passed? My how time flies, and what little cuties they are too. Love that photo of them both.
You will never lose your Mojo completely, you are always too busy making something or another and I can't wait to see what that lace turns into - it is gorgeous. Great perk indeed.

You have had a fairly full on few months, haven't you..no wonder Ms Mojo has gone for a short holiday... Mine did in July, could hardly stir myself to make anything. But here I am, just starting to literally pick up the threads again :)
I LOVE the wedding pic of the five little 'uns sitting on the grass, my absolute fav!!
And Annie, You've got me wondering now as to what this mysterious 'other part' of your life is....!!

Well, despite Mojo off sunning herself somewhere you certainly seem to have had a busy week!
I really can’t believe that it was almost a year ago we were all eagerly waiting for ‘the phone call’ to say the twins had arrived, and just look at them now.
Can’t wait to see the finished dolls, I’m sure you will make them extra special for them.

Happy Sewing!

Lovely post as always ...lovely makes and cutey babes. I always think that making things for the little ones is the most rewarding of all I make, don't you. They'll love their rag dolls. My mum made knitted Jane Greenhowe toys for my 2 girls and now the children play with them so they are becoming family heirlooms.
Thanks for your lovely comment. I had the best of times with them over the last week.

Your title made me think of the saying: A good friend helps you move. A great friends helps you move bodies.

I was there for you! I was going to help you move those body parts if need be. I'm sorry your pal Mojo has run off. I'll bet she and my Good Humor are off vacationing in the sun somewhere.

I love your ATC display! I wanted to make a little book for mine but that hasn't happened yet. It could still happen but please don't hold your breath, otherwise it will be your body I'll be moving.

Those two little munchkins are growing up fast. I bet they'll love their rag dolls. One of my sons had one that he carried everywhere, tucked under his arm, until he wore the neck out!
My friends have all been helping me with the fish and chip baby knits and we managed to get a further 203 sets delivered to Dawn in time for the September shipment. We are still knitting, and I have nearly 100 more sets ready to go.From now on we are linked with a different organisation called Greenfields Africa, which is run by a couple from Market Drayton, so not far from you. He is shipping to Uganda and we are just asked to make a small donation towards shipping costs.
It keeps us busy, and the tiny garments are just right for us to knit while it is hot. You can't do with a big piece of knitting on your lap in the summer.

Hi Annie,

Wow - I can believe the little cuties will be one year old already!!! Time does fly, doesn't it.

Lucky you - that lace is fantastic! Ms. Mojo better hurry up and make an appearance because I want to see what you are going to do with it.

Thanks for your visit - your name is in the hat!

I don't think minding twins is too easy at their age. Cheers xo

This is what happens when I arrive late and the post is not on top. I feel so bad for you. It's always a sad day when you lose a friend, and even sadder when you lose a loved one, whether it's a pet or person. My heart goes out to you today.
