Here we are at another catch up with our blogging friends all over the world...I love Wednesdays :-)
I've not had much work this week although I did have some more Parkas to sew badges on....it seems that this is now a regular job for me as the lady that used to do them is now in poor health.
I have used my free time well and have finished the fidgety quilt that you saw I had started last week and...
...cut out and made another one. I am trying to make a few that are suitable for men or women because, of course, Alzeimer's is something that both men and women get.
I will say there is another one cut out ready to get creative with but this time it's pink/purple.
I have a Memory bear coming this morning so my creative sewing will have to wait for more free time. If you leave me a little message I will do my best to pop over to yours to see what you've got to share this week.
Hugs,
Annie x

Sewing badges on isn’t something I thought I’d see on your desk! The fabrics and embellishments suit those little quilts well, perfect for using up scraps too!

Gosh, you are on a roll with those fidgety quilts. Well done you!
Sewing badges on parkas brought back memories of my sewing Girl Guide badges on my uniform as a youngster.
Have a good week.

Love your creative sewing projects, Annie! At the same time I'm also in awe of your "mundane" work projects - as someone who can't sew, I appreciate the skills required to make them look perfect! Hope you can squeeze in lots of creative time along the way! Thanks so much for your visit, whishing you a lovely week. xx zsuzsa #18
I can't tell you how many thousand uniforms I have sewn patches on! I love you Juki machine I am a big fan! Have a great week, Ginny M
Well you could never claim lack of diversity in your work could you! There was a resident at Mum’s home who would play with door handles and locks incessantly and to be honest, drove everyone else mad, staff worried that he would accidentally work out how to let himself out. Bart made a fidget board for him with old locks, door chains, keys and escutcheons etc. it had to have a stand because it was quite heavy but was a great hit and our local hardware store saved all sorts of bolts and moving bits for him after we’d been in the first time and bought stuff. Kind, huh.
I have been asked to make a fidget quilt for a lady in a wheelchair and could I put some velcro fasteners on it so they can attach it to the wheelchair. Wondered if you put fasteners on them.
Your new grandson is gorgeous, but then so are all your grandchildren, you are truly blessed. Just about to write my WOYWW very late today. Ani
I love Julia's comment - there are so many clever folk about - you included. xx Jo
Love the funnies in the next post and of course those figeties in this one! They are just brilliant and such a great idea. Stay safe!! Happy WOYWW ((Lyn)) #25
Love your fidget quilts. Sorry I’m late - been writing a big report on what the council and developer should have done
Take care
