WOYWW....

Hello to all my visitors.  This is the day, every week, when I link up to the wonderful Julia's blog over at the Stamping ground and expose my crafty space to the world.  Why not pop over there and join in the fun.....be warned though, it's addictive  :-)

This week I do actually have a bit of creative crafting to share with you [it's been ages since I felt creative].....

I rummaged through my fabric boxes and made some bed head protectors to match the new bedding and curtains we have bought to go in our new bungalow....when we get there!  Our bed has a metal bed head that rattles on the wall when you turn over in bed and it had ones with poppies on til now. :-)

Of course my knitting needles haven't been idle either and here is a pic of this week's stress busting knitting squares  :-)

I'm also sharing some pics of the twins checking up on the snowdrops in the churchyard over the road from our house....they love them.
For those who have asked snowdrops do grow from bulbs and as you can see they do spread...aren't they gorgeous?

I hope you have enjoyed your visit this week and will leave me a little hello comment so I know you've called by....I will do my best to call in on you as soon as I can to see what you've been up to this week.
Hugs,
Annie x

Burbage is full of snowdrops too at the moment..all the hedgerow banks are full of them! I was out walking yesterday and was admiring them...you have to look at them really closely to really appreciate how intricate they are though. I'm sure my fellow villagers thought I was potty bending over to have a really good look!!!
Glad you making things for the new place, shows its creeping ever closer. In for the Spring, eh...great time to start in a new place :-)

Didn't we have a lovely snowdrop walk! They are so beautiful - so are the munchkins! x Jo

Wish I had snowdrops all over but somehow the few I had disappeared just like my crocus. I put it down to the amount of squirrels roaming our garden.
Great photos of the twins as always.
Lovely covers you have made, am not sure how they work. We have just bought a high padded bed head as I was getting back ache the way we were.
Hope to see you moving soon.

Hi Annie, I have never heard of bed head protectors before! And I loved that you "furtled" around your fabric boxes to find the scraps! (Yippee, I've used the word I learned from LLJ!)Happy WoyWW! patsy

okay .. listen Annie....you've gotta do something about a rattley (sp?) bed head... or 'head board' as we call them even when they are open work.... ahhahha...

If you don'tlove it ... toss it... but, if you love it and want to keep it... take it off the bed frame, cut off the lower part and attach the decorator bit to the wall... keep the bed at least a few inches away from it..or better yet....get a new simple box frame from IKEA or if your hubby is handy...he can build a simple box. Plant your mattress and box spring straight onto that and voila...no more noise when you are trying to sleep ... plus, no need to vacuum under beds again.... I love me a bed on a box!

Hi Annie, lovely post - actually that should be posts because I've been catching up with all the ones I've missed recently. Your bedhead protectors are lovely - your sewing machine has some lovely embroidery stitches I see. And the snowdrops! Some of them are almost as tall as the twins - supersized snowdrops? They are blooming around the countryside here now, I'd say better than last year so the horrible winter has brought some benefits, and a very cheering sight they are too. Hugs, Elizabeth xx #72

The snowdrops are beautiful at the minute aren't they. Such a cheerful little flower and always the first sign of spring.
Thanks for popping by earlier. The pattern on my notebook was done using an embossing folder.

Snowdrops are just lovely, aren't they? So brave, fighting their way trough the cold on those delicate stems.
Love the patterns on your bedhead protectors, Annie. I can see I shall be coming your way for advice this year when the two wedding dresses leave me totally perplexed!!!
Have a great week.

Wow, your bed head protectors are gorgeous. Very mixed media, too.

I keep reading about the snowdrops. I hope to see them if I ever make it to the UK. the twins seem to be having fun checking them out.

Thanks for visiting earlier and happy WOYWW from #1.

Didn't read this properly to start with and thought the stress buster pic was underneath! I bet those two are actually stress busters anyway - especially along with snowdrops! Hope it's not too long till you can move in! Chris75

the image of rattling bedheads did make me smile this morning. I haven't seen any snowdrops around here I think they have all been drowned ... sadly.
have a good week

Really love the snowdrops and the twins are so cute out amongst them. Love the knit pattern of the squares. Do the bed head protectors go on the posts like a lampshade? I've heard of them?! Hugs and Happy WOYWW! Nan G #92

Hi Annie,

I was wondering what bed head protectors are - never heard of such a thing. At first I thought maybe you wear them to protect your hair getting in the bedhead state! haaa

Thanks for the information about the snowdrops. They are lovely; I'll look to see what they would do in my climate (probably not well).

Thank you for visiting me already!
Happy belated WOYWW

I'm late, it's getting to be a habit, but it doesn't mean I don't want to visit!
love the sight of those snowdrops, they really are a boost for morale huh, and to see the littlies enjoying them is just the cherry on top.
I have to admit to a chuckle, a smile and a not very clean mind when you explained that it's turning over in bed that makes the brass bed head rattle against the wall. Ahem!!!!
love ya Annie!!

It’s so lovely to see all the bulbs coming into flower isn’t it. I was only commenting about all the pretty crocus and daffodils along the side of the roads as I was driving back from my friends yesterday.

I love your bed head protectors. I have exactly the same problem and have a little pillow that I push down the back as I get into bed every night.
Thanks for dropping by to see me this week and.......
Happy Crafting!
