What is on my desk today?.......
It's a case of I know what it's called and have seen what others use them for but as yet we aren't too sure what we will end up doing with ours :-)
This is what Twiglet won on Crafty Dawn's blog and it arrived yesterday. Of course Twiglet and I will be sharing it [there isn't much we don't share :-) ] but as we really aren't paper crafters we will be finding other uses for her new Cuttlebug. We are complete novices when it comes to clever machines like this but are always up for a challenge so will be experimenting and you will be the first to see what we find to use it for :-)
Thank you Dawn for picking out Twiglet's name cos it means we both benefit from your kind gift.
I also have a gorgeous set of cards that we have received this week for one reason or other from our special blogging friends.....and yes I think one of those clever machines like the one above has been used on some of these :-) Thanks must go to Jo, Julia, Sue and Dawn for all the work they have put into these....you really do make us feel very special.
I am still knitting for England but I'm working with 4 ply this week and it doesn't grow as quickly as double knitting so you will have to wait for more knitting show and tells. As you will see on Twiglet's blog we are still working on new crafty designs too but, as I have rather a lot on my 'to do' rail this week, actually making up the ones I've got cut out ready [in the pic] will have to wait for a quiet few minutes :-)
We now have 158 followers over in the blog shop but only 47 of those has put their name down for the BIG followers draw so if as yet you still haven't added your name then do it now because we really want you all to be in with the chance to win our £50 plus of goodies we are giving away as a thank you gift. We will be drawing the name of the lucky winner on Monday 4th April so the clock is ticking.

You will love that Cuttlebug, I'm sure. They are so clever. There is a blog called Ikki's Cuttlebug (I think) with lots of very helpful ideas. Lucky you for winning one!
Congrats on the win of the cuttlebug so good as your benefit - look forward to seeing what you create
Well done on winning the cuttlebug , enjoy :0)

You won a CB? Ok Twiglet did but nevertheless you got a great little machine. Any probs give me a shout. Lovely cards there and I think I can guess which is Jo's.
Thanks for sharing (and your 4 ply knitting) and have a good day. #47

Hope you get a few quiet minutes today!! I will keep away then - lol!!
Well done to you and Twiglet winning the cuttlebug! Hope you get lots of use out of it. You don't have to just cut paper with it....!
Oh you will love it, I think you may be able to cut material with the big sizzix dies??? You just have to experiment.
Thanks for the peek and sharing. Have a great WOYWW
Hugs Marjo #22 oops thats 23
Congrats with winning the cuttlebug, thanks for sharing!!
Happy Wednesday;-)
That's a generous prize indeed. I think you two will benefit from the die cutting potential - lots of dies will handle felt and lawns really well. Love that you think you need a few 'quiet minutes' to do more work in!
Would defo recommend Ikki and her cuttlebug site - shes on my list of blog roll if you are looking for her - what that lady doesnt know about the bug isnt worth knowing - thanks for sharing - happy WOYWW
Congratulations on your prize, you will just love the CB!! Lovely cards too.
Have a great WOYWW,

Great prize...try cutting fabrics with it! Some work well and I'm sure you'll find good use for it.
You look mad busy this week... I wish I could get going but I just keep looking at all I have to do and then make another cuppa!
Lots of love JoZarty x
Hi Wipso! You'll have loads of fun with the Bug - as Caroline says Ikki has tons of info. and who knows, you might be into cardmaking yet. Ha, ha - need another 12 hours in the day though as you've got so much going on! Di x
I abstained from an embossing machine for yonks...you will soon be reeling the paper in and out believe me...and talking abc plate sandwiches...
Thanks for sharing your workdesk today. Wishing you lots of creativity until next time!

Congrats on your joint win of a cuttlebug. Does it take the big thick sizzix dies, if so you can cut cloth or felt with them to make applique pieces. Perhaps someone else who has a bug can confirm if it takes that type of die?

WooT on the cuttlebug (even though I've never used one;) I do keep checking them out along with other gadgets for embossing and die cutting, etc.
Will have to pop over to enter the giveaway you're so generously offering...Happy WOYWWing!!!
Hi ya hun
oh congratulations on the CB win, aww ya welcome hun, your as bsy as ever, oh i have me name down, lol, thanks for the snoop, have great day, happy WOYWW, sue,x(13)x
Hello!
So Twiglet was the lucky winner and you will benefit too?? How nice is that?? I am sure you will find a good way to use it! It is a great machine! I have it and I think it is brilliant!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian
My DH gave me a CB (oh these initials!) a month ago and I love it already. Textile uses I can think of...try embossing pieces of thin felt/firm fabric to see if they could be embellishments. Stitch them on just as you would any 'patch' or badge.
If that works, you'll be scrolling through the CB craft stores like me and buying what you can.
Heh, an idea - you know we can hire DVDs through the post - someone should begin a hire cutting dies/embossing folders service. Wonderful that would be. Me? Nah, don't think so...
thanks for letting me see your desk!

Yes I agree with everyone else you will soon be using the CB like a pro. Me thinks lots of flowers and brooches are going to emerge using it as felt and thin fabrics will go through fine. Looking forward to your first results.Monkey says he needs one! Yer right! He has already told me he needs some scallop edge makers.Lol.
Hugs Mrs A. #16

Your bug will cut through felt and you can add such beautiful embellishments to your lovely creations. You won't know how you coped without one.
I think it's time for some mixed media crafting! Why not try some paper with your fabric? Or not, as the case may be! Whatever you do, you're bound to have fun and I know we'll enjoy the results.
cheers, rachel #70
