Firstly I would like to show you this...
This was the elastic I had ordered last week. I had many trying to guess how much I'd ordered to win themselves a couple of my masks.
When it arrived there was actually 480 metres [needless to say a lot of it has already gone] so with a guess at 400 metres the lucky winner was Helen....I will contact you on messenger Helen so you can choose your prize.
I've had a really busy week making masks and am struggling to keep up with the demand for them but in between times I've also done some special sewing...
Meet Bun bun. He belongs to a special little girl who has Autism and her mummy asked me to make school uniform for him because he goes to school with the little girl every day. I really enjoyed this challenge. Bun bun didn't come with a pattern so I had to adjust the patterns I had to make his clothes fit.
I've been told that the little girl was thrilled to bits with him so that makes the challenge well worth the effort.
My next challenge was to make a cushion using fabrics from a wedding dress. The bridesmaids were pale pink and I was asked to use a little to embellish it.
Rather pretty eh?
My darling hubby has been turning his hand to more baking...this time it was two coconut cakes and a batch of apple cakes....yummy too.
Mid sewing face masks in top gear my sewing machine started groaning and on closer inspection I decided it just might be because of all this grot that I had to clean out of it!!
Yes I am rather ashamed to show you that it had got this full of fluff.
I have shown you my boxes filled with fat quarters before and it might surprise you to know they are very nearly all gone now on mask making so I had to order more materials....this is the first batch and I have more on it's way :-)
I love new fabrics. :-)
Now I've shared all that with you I'm going to show you what is actually on my desk this morning....yes it's a batch of 7 Memory bears. I cut them out first thing yesterday morning but had lots of orders for face masks so I am planning on shutting myself away in my sewing room today to make these bears.
...if I don't get over to yours til later in the week hope you will understand...but I will do my best.
Hugs,
Annie x

I love Bun bun! what a great idea.... was that me with the elastic guess? wow, I thought I'd be way out... I am not surprised your machine needed a de-fluff with all your amazing mask making! As for hubby's baking... yum!! can he come round here next??!! Your new fabrics look so pretty. Take care and stay safe. Helen #??
Morning Annie. My goodness... never a dull moment! I'm loving bun bun! He's great - and such a good idea to have him in the school uniform! A real confidence builder for that little girl. Well done. Not at all surprised you were running out of fabric! Nor about the fluff! Mine gets just as full when making bags for Uganda. You just keep ploughing on and don't think about the fluff, do we??
I'm most impressed with hubby's efforts - well done him! Something new and different to fill up the odd spare moment - and then enjoy!
Take care of yourselves. Stay safe. God bless.

Nice to see all your busyness Annie. I wish my other half would take the initiative in the cooking/baking department instead of me having to prompt him all the time. Don’t think he was ready for enforced retirement haha.
Take care

Oh what a busy place you live in!! Bun hun would be so loved in it's new uniform - well done you. Good luck with all the bears. One of those buns and a coffee would be such a luxury - if only I could call in! Patience is a virtue!! xxx
Oh, what’s the collective noun for the memory bears...I remember asking after you’d made four for me from FiLs ties, but we never settled....don’t they look sweet already, waiting to be stitched! Great job for Bun bun, a grand idea. Aren’t those poppers invaluable! Tell Doddy that we’re expecting home made everything next time we get together....those cakes and buns look delicious. I am in-breakfasted and somehow now feel the need....!
I omitted to say about the UFOs for week 572....you don’t need to do more than one (!), and don’t forget to take before and after photos to show us!
I have to say that a similar amount of fluff was extracted from my machine too! I'm so glad mine was serviced in January because it's had a stiff workload recently. Not as much as you though, your machines must be begging for mercy ;-)
Glad you and Doddy are ok, his cakes look yum!

Ohhh Bun Bun is just gorgeous and I am sure having a bunny to take to school will be a great incentive for her as she faces many challenges at school. I am always amazed at how much you can create in one week and it looks like your DH has taken to baking very nicely. Stay safe :)

What a great idea to give Hun Bun a uniform. Great job Annie. Glad you are getting a few more orders in. I am sure you will continue to be busy with the masks. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
Wow - you have been so busy!! I absolutely adore hun bun , having two on the spectrum i totally get how important he is to the little girl. I so wish my hubby cooked or baked but he doesn't - he is very good at doing the dishes after i have though so can't complain too much. Take care xxSoojay#22
Well done Helen, I think I was a little over ambitious with my 1,000 Annie.. as if you need to be any busier. My gosh can I please have the secret to where you find those extra hours in the day to get it all done.. Well done for carry on crafting, I could sure do with a hand in my kitchen as it's all down to me at the end of the day.
Annie can I please ask if your mask pattern is your own or did you find/buy it online? I am looking for one but would really welcome one that has been tried & tested.. If you could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. WoywW Hugs, stay safe & creative Tracey #6 xx
Morning Annie, still keeping busy I see. The cushion is really pretty and such a lovely idea. Gosh you are lucky having a hubby who can bake, mine can barely boil an egg. Still he does have other uses! My daughter is back home with us now so I'm expecting something yummy very soon as she likes to cook. Unfortunately its a bit of a challenge because our main oven has died and we are left with just the titchy one, which tbh doesn't cook that evenly. ! Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, Cindy #18
I love Bun Bun the best ~ How sweet that he has a uniform to wear to school now too! I'm not surprised to see your machine is full of fluff ~ it's working overtime right along with you! Just thing of how many people your protecting. Beautiful baking job Hubby! You'll make a great team ~ Blessings on the rest of your week

Hi Annie, what a fab lot of pics this week! Love Bun bun, lovely way to make a young girl very happy. The Memory cushion is fab, what a lovely reminder of the day for them. Not mad about coconut, but the apple cakes definitely sound scrummy. Isn't it amazing how much fluff can accumulate on the innards of a sewing machine? Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #8 X
Hi Annie, I love the school uniform, I'm sure the little girl will love taking hun bun to school. You've certainly got a lot on with the masks, and the memory bears - do you ever slow down? Those cakes look yummy, I like the sound of the apple ones. I think we will get a number Crop of apples this year, so some baking will definitely be in order. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #20
I adore Bun bun and he looks so adorable in his uniform. You are so busy so don't forget to take a break and look after you as well. Happy WOYWW! Stay safe and take care, with love and God Bless, Caro xxx (#17)
Oh Annie, I can't believe you've let the machine get like that! I of course would not let that happen Lol! Have fun making the new bears too. Well done Helen for guessing the amount of elastic. Wishing you a rather late but happy woyww and a lovely crafty week, Angela x21x
Hi Annie, Bun Bun’s outfit is adorable, no wonder the little girl was delighted. Your husbands cakes look delicious, I expect you have coffee and cake breaks during your sewing :) Angela #30
