WOYWW.....

Hello folks.  Here we are at another Wednesdays catch up with our creative friends.  Here's hoping Neet is going on OK...no one seems to have heard from her. :-(

It's been a busy week for me so haven't had a lot of time for mischief.  I've had bridesmaids dresses, Prom dresses and holiday clothes to sort for my ever flowing queue of customers....and I'm loving life.

My clothing rail has filled and emptied several times :-)

My second twiddle mitt is slowly being filled with things to twiddle.....

....I'm loving knitting them so much that I've made a start on number three.

Knitting with chunky wool on big needles is so much easier for my arthritic hands.

I had 3 shirts arrive lunchtime yesterday to make 3 memory bears with...just 7 more to come now to reach my 1000 and 6 of those are coming this week :-)

That's all from me for this week.  If you leave me a little message I will do my best to pop over to yours between my sewing jobs.
Hugs,

WOYWW....

Happy Wednesday to one and all.  Here's hoping you're all well and happy.  Our dear friend Neet messaged me earlier in the week to say she's back in hospital again but as yet I don't know why....I just hope whay ever it is they can get her well and back home soon.  Sending her lots of love and hugs.

I've been busy bear making again...these two are in memory of a much loved 98 year old Mum....they are made from her jeans and favourite jumpers [yes, she still loved wearing her jeans at 98].

I've also been recovering the seat pads on our kitchen chairs/stools.

We are having the kitchen, halls and utility floors tiled so I thought new chairs pads and curtains would look good.

I know many enjoyed the colours of threads in the blue/green drawer so once I had time to do my two other drawers I thought I would let you see them all.

I do use lots of threads and if something needs overlocking then I need 3 reels of those colours to thread up the overlocker.

At least now I can easily see the colours and they are no longer tangled up.....good job well done :-)

I've also taken time out to do a bit of baking this week....cheese scones.  And they tasted every bit as good as they look....please help yourself to one to have with your cuppa.

If you leave me a little message I will do my best to pop over to yours to see what you've been up to this week.

Hugs,

WOYWW...

Hello all.  I hope you're all well and happy and the weather has been kind to you.

I managed to finish the lovely bears I was making last week when you called in...

They look so lovely with their tags and these three mean I just need to make 16 more to reach 1000.

I have made 4 peg bags using some material that Jan sent us to use for the charity and then made...

...three little popper purses and...

.....three glasses cases.
These were the ones I had cut out last week.

Since then I cut out 8 glasses cases using this gorgeous owl fabric...I thought the little owls lent themselves to glasses cases and hope they sell well for the charity.

We have enjoyed making this jigsaw that Maxine gave us for Christmas and have now passed it on to Jo to do....and Jo gave us the sunflower one they did.

That's all from me for this week.  If you leave me a little message I will do my best to pop over to yours...I didn't get to everyone last week because I had to have a wisdon tooth out on Thursday and it knocked me about a bit so I've been recovering all week....I guess we don't heal as quickly as we get older.  I hope to do better this week.
Hugs,

WOYWW....

Hello all. Here we are to link up with our creative friends all over the world to see what they have been up to in the previous week.  Here's hoping 2026 finds you all well and happy and finding a little time to have fun.

I've made the best of the couple weeks with no customers....

I have 20 boxes that I keep my material in but some of it has been in there for years and it was all mixed up, so much so that when I needed something specific I could never find it.
I pulled each box out, sorted all the contents and threw out anything that I would never use [and there was lots of that!!].
Every surface/shelf was cleared and dusted [I make a lot of dust during my working days.

It was so lovely to start on Monday morning with a spotless sewing room.

Monday morning I cut out 4 peg bags, 3 glasses cases and 3 little purses to make for the charity...this will give me something to do in quiet moments.

On my desk this morning are the three bears that arrived yesterday.  These are for a returning customer for other family members because they loved the last ones I made for them.
They just need labels making this morning with 'Mum and Dad' on each.
These 3 mean I just need to make 16 more to reach 1000 :-) :-)

I have a little chuckle for you. Lexi and Sam pose for a photo every year wearing the Christmas stockings I made them as babies....they fit inside them back then but, as you can see,  they struggle to get even their feet in them now. :-)

That's all from me for today.  I will do my best to pop over to yours in between jobs to see what you've been up to.

Hugs,

Annie

WOYWW....

Here we are at another Wednesday catch up with our creative friends around the world.

It's been another bear filled week for me...

I made the four you saw on my desk last week and made each one a label as requested...I really loved making these.

I then made these four for another returning customer and she loved them so much that she now wants another 2 making...

....and these are now cut out and waiting on my desk to be sewn today.

In between making those bears I was asked to make this lovely school Memory bear....it's to be given to a member of staff that is leaving at the end of term...I think it's a lovely idea....and it's for a school that I've not made a bear for before.

I then had to make these two lovely bears in memory of a dad who was taken too soon for his children to remember him by.

Julia laughed last week at the thought of me having spare time but I do :-)
When Sally called in for all the things Jo and I had made for The Harry Johnson Trust she said that tags sell well so I made a few...they now have ribbons attached .
The funny thing is that while I was making these Jo was also making some.

I also had fun making these Christmas tree hangers for the fur babies in the family.

Talking of fur babies. Our little Peggy was spayed on Monday and here she is in her protective vest.  She's been a very good girl and has kept me company in my sewing room since her op.
The hardest thing we have to do is to stop her running round and jumping up for 10 days....wish us luck.

That's all from me for today.  I hope you have enjoyed your visit and will leave me a little message.  I will do my best to pay you a return visit  ASAP.
Hugs,

WOYWW....

Hello all.  Here we are at the best day of the week when we catch up with our creative friends all around the world.  Our friend Neet is still in hospital so I'm sure you will all be with me in wishing her lots of love and hoping that her meds kick in and start to improve things for her.

Life here at Sewing by Annie continues to be busy,,,

I completed the 4 little memory hearts I was making last week and my customer really loved them.

I made the two Memory bears with the funky clothes I had on my desk last week and....

.....also made this lovely Memory cushion [front and back showing].
My customer was really thrilled with them all.

I then went on to make this pretty Memory bear out of a special dress to give a young lady to remember her God Mother by.

When my customer collected this little bear she brought me enough clothes/fabrics to make 4 more :-)

I have now cut the 4 bears out and will be making these today....but I do have 4 more arriving this morning :-)

In my spare time I have also made another batch of Christmas cards....and I think I've now made enough :-)

That's all from me today.  I will pop over to see as many as I can when I can.
Hugs,

WOYWW....

The first thing I must do is to give you all a little update....I heard from Neet this week and she told me they have told her she may be in hospital for another 6 weeks.  I told her we were all thinking of her and sending her lots of love and good wishes for a steady recovery.

It's a time of new beginings and being creative here at Sewing by Annie's.

As many of you know our son has been living with us for the last 13 months and last weekend he got the keys to his new home so we had a weeekend of him moving all his stuff out of our bungalow [and caravan] ....an exciting time for all.  Our home seems a lot bigger and quieter of course so I have been keeping myself busy to fill the void.

I finished the Christmas rocking horses that you saw last week.

I made 8 little lined Christmas stockings to put Christmas money in for our Grandchildren.

I made a good start with making my Christmas cards and made 10 with baubles on and 10 with stars on....I really enjoyed being creative. The star ones are sparkly but it doesn't show up on the photo.

I had these funky clothes arrived to make 2 memory bears and a memory cushion with....I love hearing about much loved  family members.  These were in memory of a Dad who was a hippy :-)

I made this piece of patchwork, as requested, by a customer out of the clothing that belonged to her Mum and Dad to make 4 little hearts to hang on their Christmas trees this year....watch this space.

As you can see I've had a busy week but I've really had fun.  Please leave me a little message so I know you've called by and I will do my best to pop over to your's to see what you've been up to.
Hugs,

WOYWW.....

Hello all and happy Wednesday.  I was MIA last week sorry...I was ploughed under with work and was also getting ready to go away for a much needed weekend break in our caravan.  We went to our favourite campsite near Llanidloes from Friday to Monday and apart from the constant downpour all day on the Saturday we had a lovely restful weekend and our batteries are recharged.

In the last two weeks I have had two huge orders for Memory bear...

These are the 12 I made from the huge pile of clothes you saw 2 weeks ago....every one is different and each one has two panels of Grandma's clothing and 2 panels of Grandad's clothing.

These were special bears for me to make because I knew this couple and the family they are being given to.

I have since made these 9 bears in memory of a much loved Mum/Grandma.

These are also all different and the customer I made them for loves them lots.

As well as my bear making I have also been working on the activity quilt that I am making for a special young lady....I hope she will love it.

I will do my best to call by to see what you have all been up to in my absence but trust me when I say there really isn't a dull moment here at the moment.

Hugs,

WOYWW...

Hello all.  It's been another crazily busy week here at Sewing by Annie's and I'm loving it.  For those that don't know, I am stopping posting a Friday smiles post for now at least because it was becoming increasing difficult to find the time to write it so I plan to add a funny or two at the bottom of my Wednesday post instead.

I can now share with you the completed set of 5 Memory bears that were waiting to be made last week...

I loved making these and how they all turned out....my customer loved them too.

This is the next parcel that arrived yesterday....I am to make 12 bears with half of each in memory of a special Grandma and the other half in memory of her hubby.  They were a special couple known to me personally so will make the making of them even more special for me.

I have another 7/8 coming next Monday and a further two expected at some point too so I'm going to be kept busy....just the way I like it.

And just to make you smile.

Hope you're all having a great week.  I will do my best to pay you a visit as and when I can but it will be between jobs as I also have a Bridesmaid's dress to do today too.

Hugs,
Annie x

WOYWW...

Hello all.  I'm back from a lovely week away in a cottage near Tenby, South Wales.  The weather was kind to us and the only rain we had didn't spoil our week.  What improved our week was a meet up for coffee with this lovely lady on the Friday before we came home....

She had been suffering vertigo all week so we had had to pospone our catch up a couple of times earlier in the week.....but she was certainly worth the wait.....I call her my little Welsh sister. :-)

Since getting back I have had a steady flow of customers, mostly wanting Memory bears making.

These ones are for a lady who lives in Australia and every time she comes back to England to catch up with family/friends she calls in to have more bears made for folk from back in  Australia  :-)

I also have 5 more cut out ready to sew for a lady who originally wanted just one making :-)

On top of all these I have a parcel coming to make a bear for a lady from Scotland and another couple of parcels coming from Grantham for a lady wanting 10/15 making...I think I'm going to be kept busy :-)

That's all from me for this week.  I hope you're all fit and well and enjoying life.
Hugs,

WOYWW....

Hello all.  I hope all is well and happy with you all.  I've had a steady trickle of customers so far this week but it has still allowed me to finish the creative projects I've been working on....but I'm sorry to say I can't share them with you yet.  [I have taken pics so will share them soon].

I spent a little time getting my Memory bear file up to date and my Memory bear count is now up to 931, and counting because I have more on their way soon.

I did some special sewing this week for a lady who had had a mastectomy a couple of years ago and had treated herself to a bikini and swimming costume for an up and coming holiday but she came for me to adapt both to take her prosthesis.  I love a challenge and it was so lovely to see the smile on her face at what I was able to do.

That's all from me for this week.  I hope to be able to call by to see what you've all been up to this week.

Hugs,

Annie x
