Another Wednesday of catching up with our friends and their creative desks...and I love it.
I have only had a few customers this week so it has allowed for more crafty fun...
I will do my best to call by at as many of you as I can.
Hugs,

Hello all. I've had another busy week here at Sewing by Annie's but its not been all work :-) It's my birthday tomorrow so there's been a few early birthday treats too...
Saturday we went to Birmingham to see John Bishop at the NIA....he was brilliant [we laughed until our faces ached]. We then stayed the night in a hotel and had breakfast the next morning before we went back home.
Monday night we went to Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury to see Russell Watson [a birthday treat for my big sister]....he was amazing and a good night was had by all.
I have had a few customers needing sewing and in between I have...
I have also been sewing some of the little frogs.
Here we are at another Wednesday catch up with creative desks around the world. These weeks are flying by.
Firstly I wanted to say how sorry I was to hear that our friend Neet was in hospital. I hope they sort her out soon and she is back at home feeling much better. Sending her lots of love and hugs.
I don't have a lot to share with you this week but I have finished making...
7 story book cushion covers....all they need now is their cushion pads making and a childrens book putting in the pocket at the front.
I hope these will sell and raise funds for the charity I support.
That's all I have to share for this week so if you leave me a little message I will do my best to pop over to yours to see what you've been up to this week.
Hugs,
Annie x
Here we are at another Wednesday catchup with our creative friends all around the world....I love Wednesdays.
I've had a steady flow of customers this week so my time for sewing fun has been limited but....
Here we are at another Wednesday catch up with our creative friends around the world to see what they have been up to in the previous week....but first I must send lots of love to Julia for the dreadful time she's been having this last week following the fire at her hubby's workshop. My heart goes out to them both.
I then printed of the latest page of Memory Bears...this brings my number made up to 962
My next job was to get my stock of green fabric out....can you guess what I'm making next?
Hello all and happy Wednesday. I was MIA last week sorry...I was ploughed under with work and was also getting ready to go away for a much needed weekend break in our caravan. We went to our favourite campsite near Llanidloes from Friday to Monday and apart from the constant downpour all day on the Saturday we had a lovely restful weekend and our batteries are recharged.
In the last two weeks I have had two huge orders for Memory bear...
These are the 12 I made from the huge pile of clothes you saw 2 weeks ago....every one is different and each one has two panels of Grandma's clothing and 2 panels of Grandad's clothing.
These were special bears for me to make because I knew this couple and the family they are being given to.
I have since made these 9 bears in memory of a much loved Mum/Grandma.
These are also all different and the customer I made them for loves them lots.
As well as my bear making I have also been working on the activity quilt that I am making for a special young lady....I hope she will love it.
I will do my best to call by to see what you have all been up to in my absence but trust me when I say there really isn't a dull moment here at the moment.
Hugs,

Hello all. It's been another crazily busy week here at Sewing by Annie's and I'm loving it. For those that don't know, I am stopping posting a Friday smiles post for now at least because it was becoming increasing difficult to find the time to write it so I plan to add a funny or two at the bottom of my Wednesday post instead.
I can now share with you the completed set of 5 Memory bears that were waiting to be made last week...
I loved making these and how they all turned out....my customer loved them too.
This is the next parcel that arrived yesterday....I am to make 12 bears with half of each in memory of a special Grandma and the other half in memory of her hubby. They were a special couple known to me personally so will make the making of them even more special for me.
I have another 7/8 coming next Monday and a further two expected at some point too so I'm going to be kept busy....just the way I like it.
Hello all. Firstly I must say that this will be the last Friday smiles post for a while at least. My life is so busy right now that I am limiting myself to the Wednesday posts until life settles down for us. It's a commitment every week and I hate to let anyone down by not posting the link at least. Thank you to all who have joined in each week and I hope you all understand.
Last week we had a lovely week near Tenby in south Wales and even managed to catch up with Jan [photo on Wednesday's post for those that haven't seen it]. We managed most days with no rain and even when it did rain it didn't affect us. Here's just a few pics ....
I loved the knitted post box topper and the garden full of animals. We enjoyed a lot of the little coves/beaches and Peggy enjoyed the freedom with her ball and the water when the situation allowed.
Hello all. I'm back from a lovely week away in a cottage near Tenby, South Wales. The weather was kind to us and the only rain we had didn't spoil our week. What improved our week was a meet up for coffee with this lovely lady on the Friday before we came home....
She had been suffering vertigo all week so we had had to pospone our catch up a couple of times earlier in the week.....but she was certainly worth the wait.....I call her my little Welsh sister. :-)
Since getting back I have had a steady flow of customers, mostly wanting Memory bears making.
These ones are for a lady who lives in Australia and every time she comes back to England to catch up with family/friends she calls in to have more bears made for folk from back in Australia :-)
As promised I am up loading a few funnies for you automatically as I'm away on holiday this week.
Here we are at another Friday's catch up of the smiles from the previous week. I've had a few customers and have enjoyed doing their sewing plus have enjoyed some sewing for pleasure....see Wednesday's post.
It feels like all our family have been away on holiday this week...
The boys were told they were going away and could help their daddy pack the suit case....as you can see they climbed in so they didn't get left behind :-)
They have been away all week and, from the photos they have sent me they have been having a wonderful time.
Michelle and Lexi have been away for a few days on a girly holiday in Spain and they have had a lovely time.
Our garden keeps giving us smiles. The roses have had a good year and keep blooming.
Hello all. Here we are at the best day of the week when we link up with our creative friends all around the world. If you'd like to join in too then click on the link and pop over to Sarah's Craft Shed to find out more details...You'd be made very welcome.
I've had a steady flow of customers this week and in between my sewing jobs I've been working on the special activity quilt.
I've cut out the 9 bright squares and have found some sensory toys to attach to some of the squares...Ive just not decided which yet.
I made a miniature teddy and made a pocket for him to sit in.
I sourced a safe mirror....an A4 sheet that could be cut and stitched through....and made a square with it in the middle.
I cut out lengths of different pink ribbons to make the petals on a flower square....I may stitch a smily face on the front.
That's all from me for today and next week I will be MIA because we are going on holiday ....We just may be catching up with someone you know so I'm sure there will be updates when we get back.
Hugs,
Annie x
Hello all. We are here to catch up with the smiles from the previous week and although I've had lots of smiles I don't have a lot I can share with you. I've had a really busy week with sewing and have shortened 6 bridesmaids dresses and much much more.
We had a lovely weekend with the boys. I treated them to some Paint pencils and put the easel up outside so they could enjoy some creative fun.
Louie drew a lovely reindeer on the top of his paper and Theo drew a hill and rainbow...they were lovely pens to use.
Did this fool say something about work being quiet? Since we were here last week everyone came out of the woodwork :-)
My sewing rail has filled and emptied and filled again.
I've had 6 bridesmaids here for fittings...3 in the lovely champage colour. One of them has already been collected. I've had several pair of trousers to shorten and the shirt on the left is a gents shirt that he wants an extra 6" adding to the bottom...he's brought the fabric so I will probably be doing that today.....another challenge.
I did fittings on three bridesmaids dresses in this lovely lemon colour and I've shortened them all and they are now waiting in their boxes to be collected today....they are stretchy but wont crease so not the easiest to work on.
Both the champagne and the lemon dresses are all in different styles to suit each of the bridesmaids and they looked really lovely.
The only other thing that's on my desk today is a project basket. I'm making a special lap quilt using bright colours for a special young lady.
I'm hoping to add pockets with hidden 'little friends' and noisy toys to stimulate her.....watch this space.
That's all from me for this week. I hope you've all had a lovely week and are coping with the heat.
Hugs,
Annie x
Here we are at our weekly catch up of things that have made us smile. As always I have had many smiles and our little Peggy has given us many this week...
She's a real little poser and loves sitting out in our garden.
