WOYWW....

Hello all.  The weeks seem to be flying by.  I'm being kept busy with sewing and am managing some sewing for pleasure in between jobs.

This is the latest bear I've made...he's made from the 4 favourite jumpers worn by a much loved Great Grandad [two on the front and 2 on the back] and he brings my numbers up to 980...and I have more on their way :-)

I've been making little mice and have now completed these 7....each one has a little hanger so they can go on a Christmas tree.

I saw some tree decorations made from an old wooden cotton reel and thought I'd have a go.  I rather like how this one has turned out...what do you think?

That's all from me for today.  I will do my best to pop over to yours when I can and will just leave you with this.

Hugs,

Annie x

If only :-)

WOYWW....

Hello all.  I'm sorry I was out of action last Wednesday with Flu/cold.  Both hubby and I have been really rough on and off for a month or more and last week we were as bad as it had been....coughing lots and running really high temps.  We tested negating for Covid but it felt pretty much the same.  It's been an awful bug and I'm hoping it's on it's way out now.  There have been so many folk around here suffering the same and it leaves you good for nothing so we had to listen to our bodies and sleep it off.  If you read my Friday post you will also see I had a health scare too but thankfully the results came back normal and no further appointments/tests were needed....phew!!

On my desk today are the latest army of frogs, now finished and handed over to the Harry Johnson Charity, to give out the the children newly diagnosed with cancer....I've now made 58 and it makes me rather sad to think that there are so many children needing them but it's good to do my bit.

The only other thing I have to share with you this week are these little mice I've been making....they have been something nice to do a little of...when I've been awake lol.

That's all from me for today....hopefully I will have more to share by next week.
Hugs,

WOYWW...

Hello all.  I've been kept busy here at Sewing by Annie's this week....

I made these two lovely bears in memory of a special Mum.

I made these two in memory of a special Dad.

Then, I made this pretty bear in memory of a Nan, using her pretty nightie and a brother using his favourite shirt...I love hearing about the special people I am asked to make Memory bears for.

Never a dull moment here....I was then asked to make the straps to fit under this 'dressing up as a spider' outfit for this service dog who is trained to go into care homes.  This is her outfit for Halloween...I'm not sure what I think about a huge spider visiting me in my care home as I really don't like spiders. [It was bad enough working on this one lol ].

I've also been working on the little outfits for the Christmas mice...this is the first I've finished so far.

My next project was to plan some little Easter chicks to make for The Harry Johnson Trust....Here is the first all pinned together to see what I thought of my design.  I'm going to call them Cluckles  :-)

I have now cut out a dozen Cluckles and they are all ready to be put together in front of the telly....watch this space, as they say.

That's all from me for this week.  If you leave me a little message I will go my best to pop over to yours to see what you've been up to this week.
Hugs,

WOYWW....

Hello all.  I hope you're all keeping warm, well and enjoying creative fun.  I love Wednesdays [guess I just love being nosey and seeing what you're all up to each week].

This week I have...

Been painting little peg dolls for next Christmas...it was a special request :-)

They have now got tiny ring hooks in the tops and have ribbon hangers.

I've made three more lovely Memory bears in memory of a special Dad/Grandad...all the more special to make because I knew the man they were made in memory of.

I have another one coming Friday :-)

I've also cut out and started to make some little mice...I like to have something to do while I'm sitting in front of the telly [to keep me awake in the evenings :-) ].

I will be dressing them and making them into Christmas mice probably.

That's all from me for this week.  I hope you have enjoyed your visit.  If you leave me a little message I will do my best to pop over to yours to see what youve been up to this week.
Hugs,

WOYWW...

Another week has gone and we creep even closer to Christmas....Most of my cards are now made, written and sent  :-)  It's been a busy week of festivities too.

15 of us went on the Llangollen Santa train on Saturday.

You should be able to click on the pics for a closer look if you'd like to......happy memories were made :-)

I have also been busy sewing and crafting this week.

These are 3 of the 5 little mice I made this week that are already on their way to a new home in Belgium as I type.  :-)

Some of you gave me inspiration last week for a new feltie but I bet you have 'no eye deer' what this is  :-) :-) :-)

Of course you just knew it was a little reindeer didn't you?  Here he is finished and he is now sitting on the feltie shelf over in the shop waiting for a new home for Christmas.

The last pic I have to share with your today is of Rocky and Wispa with their new hair cuts....yes of course their cushions have now been put by the radiator cos since they had their trims the weather has turned very cold here....it was -3 here this morning and guess what?
....our central heating boiler started throwing out black smoke Monday afternoon so the heating had to go off til it's fixed!!! Brrrrrrr

Well folks that's all from me for today.  Hope you have enjoyed your visit and are all well and happy and looking forward to Christmas now.  If you leave me a comment I will pop over to say hello in between my sewing jobs.  Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x

WOYWW....

Happy Wednesday to you all.  It's been another fun filled week over here at Sewing by Annie's.

First and foremost I must say a huge thank you to all of you lovely people out there that popped over to our new Facebook shop and 'liking' us.  It seems there are lots of you out there that really do like us.  :-)  We now have 50 likes on the site and a lot of interest in the things we make.  For any that couldn't make it last week but would like to support us then it's not too late to pop over to 'like' us too.  As they say the more the merrier....

I have been busy hand dumfing this week and if you check out Monday's post you will see that Pufflette the baby dragon had hardly got comfy on the shelf over in out blog shop when he was offered a new home.  He headed off towards Manchester yesterday so I'm sure he will be landing there soon.

So.....on my desk today is.....

Monty Mouse sporting his new knitted scarf.  He is now waiting in the blog shop for a new home so if anyone is interested just email me to let me know.

My next little character in the making using some of that fab new wool rovings I showed you last week.

Can you tell what it is yet?....... Will reveal all when finished so be sure to pop back.

My table it covered with mousey bits and bobs.  I sold the last of my little Christmas mice at the weekend so Funday Monday was spent preparing more mouse parts ready for putting together.

As you can see I'm keeping busy and managing to stay out of mischief.  I had a fun day with the twins yesterday so today will be spent catching up with my sewing and I will pop over to see what you've all been up to in between jobs.  I have all 5 of the Grandchildren coming with their mummies to play Christmas elves and decorate our Christmas tree tonight so the fun never ends here.
Hope you're having a great week too.
Hugs,
Annie x

My new arrival and my knitty updates...

Thought I'd best introduce you to my new arrival.  I won a tree chameleon on Donna's blog last week and as you can see he has made himself comfy on our Christmas tree.  Thanks Donna.

I also told you I would update you on the Christmas Fairy Mice I was knitting for my little Granddaughters.
They are now finished and here you can see them posing for you hanging on our Christmas tree.  The little girls came down here Saturday to dress Nanny Annie's tree and 2 year old little P was really wide eyed at each and every little treasure she handed to her Mummy to put on the tree.....happy memories.  I'm sure she will love these little mice.....I do  :-)

On Friday my baby [now 23 years old!] had to have minor surgery and came here afterwards to spend some quality time with his Mum [and to be fussed over and spoiled a bit of course]   :-)  We have always enjoyed special times together and when he saw that I had been knitting he asked me to teach him to knit so he could make a little teddy to give to his girlfriend to hang on their tree.  We spent most of the day laughing, dropping stitches and learning new skills  :-)

Here's the proof  :-)  I thought I'd best not put a photo on of his face cos I'm not sure he would want his mates to see  :-)

Here you can see the results of our fun.  The one on the right is the one he knit and mine is the one on the left.  He was soooo proud of it and his girlfriend G was really thrilled with it too.  I have put a pin by the side to let you see just how small and cute the little bears are.  They are made using a free pattern from Little Cotton Rabbits....she makes some really stunning things too.

I plan to knit one as a Christmas gift for one of my blogging friends so watch this space if you want to be in with the chance to win one  :-)  I know a lot of you don't knit and thought you just might like to have one of your own.

WOYWW....

Another week has flown past and Christmas will be upon us before we know it.  As you can guess I am still knitting when my sewing allows a free minute.  I have had a busy week this week with customers after the much quieter week I had last week.  The snow definitely kept many from venturing out and although it hasn't all gone yet it has remained very very cold here so very icy under foot still.  This week I have had 4-5 more new customers already so I guess their need had increased enough to make them venture out carefully.

On my desk today you can see a nearly finished Joseph for the Knitivity and two more little knitting projects I've been busy with.  Mary now has a halo and I've stitched her button on the front of her dress as on the pattern.  Joseph is still looking a bit phallic but once he has a beard and I've dressed him he will look better.

The other two little knitting projects will look like this when finished.  They are from a really cute free pattern that Twiglet sent me the link to and of course I just had to knit two for my two little Granddaughters.  I just need a bit of lurex thread now to knit the wings and stars so hopefully by next week you will be able to see the finished mice.

This is the view from the window where I sit and sew.  A cock pheasant has taken to visiting my bird feeder most mornings this week.  I have named him Fred and have to admit I do throw out some bird feed on the floor for him to eat.  I live right in the middle of a village so really hope he stays safe and well off the road.

I must get moving now because I have a rail full of sewing and I have two little visitors coming to play with Nanny Annie today too....and you all know I wont be getting much sewing done while they are here  :-)

Please pop over to our leader Julia's blog to link up with all the other WOYWWers who expose themselves on a weekly basis.  Have a great week.  Keep warm and thank you for popping in to say hello.

Celebrations to end my week...

I have just done my books up for the end of yet another really busy week and I have hit another milestone.......900 customers :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) and, yes, I am grinning from ear to ear.
From what started very cautiously as sewing for just a few customers I am very proud to say I'm now buzzing with a very successful little business. I get usually 2-3 new customers every week and often even more and never have to advertise now as they all come through word of mouth. It's often hard work and very challenging but it's brilliant.

On top of that this week I have managed to fill a box full of goodies for a new friend to take to a local craft fair. She found my blog from a link on another blog and realised she walks past my gate often but wouldn't have recognised me if she met me in the street. I invited her to call in to say "Hi" and from that chance meeting she offered to include some of my crafts on her table at a local craft fair. What a small world it is :-)
It was a bit of a challenge for me cos I didn't know about it til this Wednesday but I managed to fill my box with :-
7 Machine Embroidered Flower pictures
24 little Christmas teddies
17 Christmas mice
12 Felted bears
and 1 Felted Fairy bear ........and a partridge in a pear tree :-)
Needless to say some of which I had in stock but it's certainly been a few late nights for me this week trying to get it all together and priced up ready.

As I say in my flier ....I love a challenge :-)
