Hello all. It's been a busy week with sewing for me. I've been altering prom dresses and other holiday dresses and shortening several pair of trousers but I've also fitted in some of this...
A bit of watercolour painting and doodling to make a batch of cards and.....
Ive been sorting my buttons into jars having bought a few new ones last time I went to Ikea.
Yes I do have rather a lot of buttons and I'm struggling to think of projects that will use them....but I will think of something I'm sure....all good ideas welcome.
Hugs,
Annie x

Buttons! Mine are all in a tin and Fx loves to sort through them when he comes round . . . . I have found some card designs which use buttons and so every now and again I have a rummage . . . .
Love your water colouring, do show the finished cards please.

Gorgeous buttons and jars! I love your "dabbling" - they look like beautiful little works of art to me. xx Jo
Love the watercolour doodlings, they’ll be perfect for cards! It’s a nice thing to do as your brain is in neutral (or is that just me? Lol). You have more buttons than a pearly queen!! Nicely sorted into colours, very satisfying!

Your paintings are lovely and will make super cards. I have my ribbon scraps in these jars and buttons in flat tubs for stacking. Hope you’ll be kept busy but not overrun with sewing. X
Your watercolours are beautiful and will make fabulous cards. I love your button jars - anything colour coordinated makes me happy! I saw on Pinterest a Christmas tree collage all made with buttons - triangle shape of green buttons with brown ones for the trunk - very simple but I've often thought if I had enough buttons it would be great to try different shaped trees and flowers.
Have a lovely week,

I remember sorting through my Aunts button tin! I don’t have quite as many as you, but I do have a lot of buttons, some of them very old. I know how other people use them, but I always think they are too bulky to use on pages or cards. Actually I have just had an idea - let me write it down before I forget! Okay, done that! Happy WOYWW. Angela #11
Forgot to say I love your watercolour doodling x

Hi Annie, always good to hear that you're busy. I love buttons and do have some really old ones that are still on their cards. I do use some of the others in my collection with my MDF projects and on cards but I love them so much that it's difficult to let them go. I probably could do with a good sort out really. Look forward to see the cards you make with the lovely watercolours too. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x10x
So good to see you with your paints - enjoy making those watercolour cards.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Lovely paintings. Can't wait to see the cards. I've used buttons on cards, centres of paper flowers as well. Embellishment on some fabric makes. Good luck. Anne x 19
I have no idea to what to use the buttons for, but I like how they look in jars! Just display them and be happy while looking at that! Have a great week, love from the Netherlands! Marit #3
I hope the sciatica is easing a little every day, poor Doddy…it’s fantastically painful, difficult, inconvenient….and limiting. Such a waste of time! Meanwhile, your garden is glorious. And the answer to too many buttons is not to buy extra jars! made me laugh to say that, I sound like everyone’s mother! morti made a button bouquet for her wedding, it looked sensational..maybe you should offer them as a side line, you see plenty of brides! Ha ha, like you have time to wire 1000s of buttons! I should just enjoy the satisfaction of rows of neat and colour filled jars!
Lovely painting Annie. 20-25mm buttons are great for mask adapters-just a strip of crochet with a button either end.
Take care
Hugs
