WOYWW....

Hi folks it's been another busy week here.

There has been more change here at our new home...a couple of posts and fence panels in the back garden have been moved [by my wonderful hubby] to allow space for a new back gate to be put in to give us much better access to the back garden and to allow access for builders when we get plans passed for the small extension we hope to have built.....yes it's all go but it's so exciting  :-)

My little Ikea cupboards are now all painted and I'm rather thrilled with the finished result...what do you think?

I've been busy using more of my stash of gifted fabric to make some little fabric boxes.  I found a little triangular design on Pinterest that I rather liked so I've had a play and here's my first completed box. Like it?  I hope you do cos I've now cut out the fabric for several more and hopefully today I will get them made.....in between paying a visit to all who call by here and leave me a comment of course :-)

And the last pic I have to share today is of a little treasure I found hidden in the new garden yesterday.  A lot of you will know my love of poppies so will know just how much this made me smile.  The petals are just so delicate....just like tissue paper :-)

I hope you like my show and tell for today.  Thanks to all who called by last week and left me such lovely comments.....you really are a very special bunch.

Hugs,
Annie x

I have not been awake long so as well as being 'groggy' I am now green - a green groggy me! Green over the beautiful poppy (my favourite flower too) as I have no red ones in my garden and cannot seem to grow them as how many seeds I try with.
Your Ikea drawers look fabulous, so pretty in those pastel colours and I have one of those triangular boxes courtesy of Jozart earlier in the year for my birthday.
Great to share things from your much awaited move.

Those pastelly coloured drawers are fabulous, I love them and they look so neat and tidy there in your room! And the little pyramid box is cute too..great for using up stash!
There is no pattern for my totes, I'm afraid. I just made it up! The main bag is 48 x 45 cm. The handles are two strips of 70 x 8 cm, sewn along one side and ironed inwards then topstitched. And the pockets are whatever fabric I've got left and looks right!
Hugs, LLJ 30 xx

Exciting times ahead, Annie. Wonderful painted little drawers - they look great fun. I'll just guess they are full to the brim with gorgeous attachments, sewing bits, threads of rainbow colours - gone all poetical this morning!!
Love your little bag. I think it was Jo of Jozart made some of these last year. They are lovely items, aren't they?
Glad you have found poppies in your new garden - love 'em!
Thanks for already visiting and for your great comments. Seriously hadn't got a clue with that dress. Still don't know which way the grain should go... Had to do three mock ups in the end before daring to cut into the fancy satin and lace! No pattern, for Margaret = nervous breakdown, meltdown points - and 4 1/2 months to do the dress. Have pattern = happy Margaret, 1/2 weeks to do the other dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care. God bless.

Love your little drawers! Glad things are getting done - you will soon feel totally settled! Your fabric box looks fabulous! That poppy would have made me smile too - I love them! Earlier this year I bought a (quite expensive) double flower plant …and the rabbits ate it!! We have lots of other ordinary ones and they don't get touched!! Chrisx

You really HAVE been busy. Finishing the IKEA boxes and still had time to play with new fabric boxes. You are a LOT quicker than I am, that's for sure.

I like poppies, too. There is something so special about them. Hope the back garden turns out to be exactly what you are hoping for, since I know how much you LOVE flowers.

Hi Annie, your sewing room is shaping up very nicely. I like the pretty colours you've painted the cupboards. So nice to see you settling in after all the trauma. The poppy is gorgeous ... poppies are my all-time favourite flowers - I might have mentioned that before :) Hope you have a good week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #78

I'm horribly late, but no matter! Your Ikea drawers look fab dont they - you must be really chuffed. You don't miss the light having them on the window sill? we're about to submit plans too and Mr D has just realised how much I'm going to miss my desk and view...I'm being very philosophical about it at the moment!
I love the pic on Friday of the twinnies holding hands...such a sweet thing.
