WOYWW....

I'm a little later posting today cos I've had a few days off work to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary [see post below].  Please help yourselves to a drop of bubbly to help us celebrate [we were actually given 2 free glasses of bubbly at lunch time yesterday by our waiter when he realised why we were there].

It's be a wonderful few days but I am back to work today and just know that there are lots of customers waiting for my services [several have left me messages on the answer phone to tell me so too!] so I'm guessing I will be pretty busy catching up.  So?  What have I got to share with your today?

I have been asked to show you my finished bride dolls.  As you can see they have ringletted hair, a veil and I've added a few silver beads for their tiaras.  I'm sure these will amuse the little flower girls on the big day don't you?

I have been knitting for the 'fish and chip' babies and this is the first set I have finished.  The idea is to make little jumpers and hats from left over balls of wool and as you can imagine I have just a few of those  :-)  If you would like to find out more and would be willing to join in for this good cause then please pop over here for more details.

The last thing I have to share with you is a collection of snaps I've taken around our garden.  Our garden seems to be springing into bloom following all the showers of rain we have had lately.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit here this week.  Thanks for calling by.  Before you pop over to Julia's to join in the WOYWW fun please leave me a little hello comment and I will do my best to pay you a visit in between my sewing jobs.
Hugs,
Annie x

Hi Annie, glad to read you've had such a good time ... 30 years is well worth celebrating :) I absolutely love the finished ragdolls and I'm sure the little maids will too. Your garden is doing well, the pics are fab.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and thanks also for your offer to help me with the baby blanket size. I think I'll aim for a pram blanket to start with, I think that would be the most practical size, so the measurements for one of those would be great.

Happy WOYWW and I hope you have a lovely week. Elizabeth x #27

Great idea for keeping children quiet during the boring bits - my friend had the sermon as a children's event (because she had more children than adults present!).

Hi Annie,

Congrats on your anniversary! How nice of the waiter to give you a little bubbly to loosen up with!

Everything today looks great. I love the dolls and the baby set is beautiful. I started on my second baby blanket last week - this one I'm just knitting every row so it won't take so long.

Your garden looks very inviting too. My lilacs are blooming and the day lilies are popping up.

Thanks for visiting me already!!

Hugs,

Wonderful spring garden and happy anniversary

The dolls are gorgeous and am sure they will be cherished. Our garden has started to bloom but today's hail and rain has spoiled some of the blossom.
Congratulations on your 30th Anniversary. When DH and I got married there were many who thought it wouldn't last I was 16 when we met, DH was 23 and his friends teased him an awful lot about 'cradle snatching' (I was still at school. We married when I was 20 and celebrated our Ruby Wedding last year :-)
Will try and join in with the request for jumpers and hats for the Fish and Chip babies.

Gorgeous makes Annie! Congrats on your 30th anniversary and hope you enjoyed your celebrations. Sounds like you did with free champers!
We head home early tomorrow, sadly for a funeral as my cousin (she's like my sister) has lost her Dh... who was our best man. She's lost her main carer too as she is blind and partially deaf. Hard loss and sad time.

I just found out about the fish and chip babies the other day - it's heartbreaking. What a wonderful thing you and the other knitters are doing.

Thanks for your lovely words over at mine. Am still really excited :D

quite a lot to feast the eyes on here... I followed the link to see about the fish and chips babies - how very very sad that is. I wish I could knit but am barely getting a scarf finished without picking up and dropping stitches in odd amounts...

Those dolls are adorable - I wish you success with getting them back off the shelves.

my love and hugs always
