WOYWW and someone special has a BIG birthday today...

Firstly girls I must say a Happy Birthday for someone special in my life that has a BIG birthday today.

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to Twiglet,
Happy Birthday to you,

Yes, it's a really BIG one for her today and I know you will all want to sing along with me.  Happy Birthday Jo.  Really hope you have the best of days.  I have sooooooo much the thank you for especially of late.

Now girls you will all know that M is now back home with her gorgeous babies and life is returning to 'normal'....slowly and steadily.  She has asked me to say a huge thank you to all of you wonderful bloggers who have supported us through the last two weeks and has allowed me to share with you this really special photo of the happily little family now enjoying special times together at home.

I have done a lot of catching up with sewing jobs this week and still have more to go yet so blogging has been pushed right to the back for me.  I will do my best to get round as many of you as I can but please forgive me if I fail hopelessly.  I will get there eventually.

I've done the sewing job for the lady who lives in Scotland....if anyone needs sewing doing I am more than happy to do any sewing jobs as long as you are happy to pay the postage and will happily give you a quote for any job....it often works out cheaper than getting it done locally cos I charge very reasonable prices.  :-)

My WOYWW post is going to be a picture heavy to let you all see what I've been up to....

These are pics taken Monday of the latest little dresses we have made for the African girls.  My little sewing room was completely filled with them.  There is another 64 here bringing our total now up to 193!!  They are all colors and all sizes so I'm sure there will be lots of happy faces on a lot of little African girls.  A huge thank you to all that have sent us fabric to make them with.  I hope you can see we have used it wisely.  These are all now winging their way to Louise so I'm sure will be featured on her blog soon.

Ive singled out this pretty little dress so you can see the lovely job our friend T did to make this one.  She is very new to sewing and learned a lot while working along side us to make her first little dress.  What an achievement and how lovely of her to choose to give it away to the great cause.

Twiglet and T spent Funday Monday afternoon working on making a bag for T from a felted cardigan.....I will do my best to put a pic on here when the bag is finished.

I spent the afternoon knitting another little cardie for tiny little L.  At 4lbs it's not easy to find clothes small enough to fit her  :-)

Today my desk is covered with my little bears.  My baskets are needing filling up for the craft fair that Jo and her daughter are having a table at on Saturday in Montgomery.  Please call in and give them some love and support if you can.  I have declined to help this time as we are still awaiting the arrival of our other daughter's baby [due 14th].  So much happening still in this mad world I live in  :-)  :-)
If anyone wants little bears for a special person then please pop over to our blog shop to check them out and email me with your order.  I write the little poems that come with each little bear and they have been known to work real magic by bringing smiles to those needing them most.

Well folks, that's it from me for this week.  I will try to get round to your blogs when I can I promise.

Hugs,
Annie x

Great pictures, the new little family looks tired but happy. T's dress is great and the patterned material looks like some scrapbook papers I've seen!

Ah relief and smiles all around! What a beautiful family and there's nothing like routine and normal life to help recovery.
I've never seen your work room looking so 'busy'. You're really back in the swing! Off to go wish Jo an HB.

So good to see that piccy - kept checking in to find out the latest. Just a miracle story. My nan raised me for the first three weeks, slept right through from day four and I turned out just fine(ish)!
Amazing sewing antics in full swing...the dresses area story of their own - really an amazing effort and labour of love! Where do you find the time!!!
Thanks for the peek!

Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful picture with us. It is so good to hear such a wonderful outcome. How on earth have to found the time to do all that crafting and those lovely dresses too. After all the trauma of the past few weeks, try to take some time just for yourself, and allow yourself to recover from all that stress.

Aww Annie, Thanks for sharing such a treasured photo with us, it’s lovely seeing the family all together.

It’s so good to see you blogging again too and hear that things are getting back to ‘normal’ for you all. The events of the last few weeks must have really taken it out of you and you still have another happy event to look forward to, which will be more straight forward hopefully.

You’ve done an absolutely amazing job with all the little dresses and I can just imagine all the little girls parading around their villages showing off their new outfits….a joy to see I’m sure!

Oh, and I can vouch for the little bears……..mine goes everywhere with me.

Happy Sewing!

Wow. I don't know what to comment on first. But I have to say Thank you to M for sharing that picture with us all. Nice to see the family.
And those dresses - Wow. You deserve a huge pat on the back but not a painful one!
Hope all goes well at the Fair on Saturday. You have both put me to shame as I don't have half ready for the one I am doing in December. Yikes.

Lovely photo of the family, and M happy and smiling too - what a relief! And all those lovely little dresses - makes me wish my daughter was little again - I used to make all her dresses when she was small - why I stopped is another story altogether :) And, I remember having to get the knitting needles out, whilst still in hospital after she was born, and knitting a little dress from a doll's pattern because absolutely nothing fitted such a tiny wee scrap. And now you have another baby to look forward to - Christmas is going to be extra special for you this year. Elizabeth x #75

I hope you didn't let Jo go too wild on her BIG birthday - and I too can vouch for the little teddies. Mine slept under my pillow when M was so ill. Love and hugs, Di xx

Such good news Annie that all is well and everyone home where they should be. I was going to say that I hoped you were able to rest too however I can see that you have been amazingly busy still. You astound me. I wonder if you're like me and have to be busy at the most stressful times.
Having read further down to I wanted to say just how much I loved that prayer/poem. Quite Wonderful, and so so true.
Take care

I'm so happy that everything is fine now and M looks really well, just a bit pale, poor B tho has bags under his eyes, I think sometimes its worse for the family then the person whos really ill as they obviously are poorly. Ive caught up with all your posts, fantastic dresses and those mini cardys are so cute. Great that your business is postal, congrats. I tend to go to my sis as she used to own a business sewing, this was many years ago as now she runs a nursery, she still sews costumes for her drama group for kids. Because of all this I admit getting sewing from her can mean a long wait, my mum just got her leggings back after 18 months of waiting for the sterups to be removed lol lol. I would love to sew but not really got the knack of it, its a real talent, I'm impressed that I now can thread my sewing machine without the book!!! I onky use it to sew on cards. Hope all goes well with L. Loving the little bears I must have missed what their about, as I'm not sure what they are. Take care. Kezzy x

Thank you for letting me see a brighter side of life this morning and sharing your wonderful news with us. I am relieved for you.. things can only get better and better from now! It does make you appreciate the 'normal' things in life doesn't it! We are blessed.

Best Wishes to you and your beautiful family.XXXX
