WOYWW.....

Happy WOYWW everyone....yes it is a much happier one here today than it has been lately.  My cold/flu bugs seem to have gone and thankfully my sciatica has gone too so I am feeling rather more like 'me'.

I have had my usually busy week this week with trousers, jackets, tops  etc  to alter and of course I have managed to finish a new little friend [see previous post].

Today I am working on 4 huge cushion seat pads for a boat.....yes never a dull minute here is there?

I have to make new fitted and zipped cushion covers for them so am glad I still have a little helper to hold one end of the material  :-) [he was finished yesterday and features in the previous post].
I always welcome a bit of help  :-)

"Gosh Annie, does it really take all this zipping for those cushion covers?"

I'm afraid it does Mr Tumble but don't worry I do cut it into lengths and sew it in first so you don't have to stay tied up for long  :-)

Enough of my madness for today.  As you can imagine the cushion covers take a while to make and my 'to do' rail is filling up behind me as I do them so I need to get moving.   :-)

Before I go I just want to share my 'promise of spring' photo I took yesterday  :-) These are the first daffodil bulbs just peeping up through the soil.

Please pop over to Julia's blog and join in the WOYWW fun and I hope to catch up with rather more of you this week.  Thanks to you all for being so thoughtful and caring while I have been poorly.  The get well soon wishes really helped my recovery.

Happy news indeed, so glad you're feeling better all round. I did not know that you could buy zipping in such lengths and cut it to size....shows how amateur a seamstress I am! Delighted to see your daffodils..oh I am longing for spring!

I did a bit of clearing up in the garden yesterday, but not a single sight of a Spring bulb yet. Only the winter honeysuckle is in bloom.

Oh Annie
I’m not sure if Mr Tumble is a being a help or is more of a hindrance but it’s nice that you have company while you’re working.
Rather you than me with all those cushions though.
Have fun!

Quite chatty at your place today. Thanks for the glimpse of the promise of spring. We are off school for snow for the second day, and I wouldn't mind dreaming about flowers. Of course, we can't grow tulips or daffs here, the deer always eat them before we get to see them.

How can you manage doing all these things?? Repairing Wendy, making Mr. Tumble, cushions for a boat and all your other things - I think I am completly unproductive! Loved your post!

Novel idea to stitch your stripes in yourself. Must tidy that away in brain for future use. Got a few bulbs pushing through but not many. None are daffs though.

I LOVE Mr Tumble, He is so cute, colourful and seems to be such a big help.

Gosh, you do seem busy and I am so glad your cold is much better, sciatica too as that is awful, especially when you want to create.

A first sign of what is to come in that last photograph. Roll on better weather.

Gosh, you do sound/look busy! Thank goodness you've got a little helper! Mind you, not sure how much help Mr Tumble would be.. much as my DD loves him, he's not the sharpest tool in the box!

Thanks for sharing a peek at your desk.
