WOYWW...

It's been another busy week for me with sewing thankfully and our little wounded soldier had his arm x-rayed on Monday and it appears to be healing well.  He's pretty frustrated with not being able to use his arm and having to limit his activities but so far so good.[....I'm writing this on Monday afternoon because Theo will be here for a long day Tuesday so we will have to find as many activities we can to occupy him sitting down].

I've managed to finish the tiny felt bears I was making last week.

For those that didn't see it over on my Facebook page here's the Memory cushion cover I made this week.  It was made from a much loved Dad's favourite jumper....It was loved by so many and very many made really lovely comments about it.... that sort of gives me a warm, fuzzy glow.

I've been sorting out my buttons....I have so many and they are all colour sorted into jars but you can guarantee if I need 4 the same of any colour I will only have 3!!

Does anyone have any good suggestions as to what I can use them for?

The final photo I'm sharing today is of these three little Memory bears made from a much loved Dad's favourite cardigan.  It was a chunky knit, lined cardigan so one was made from the furry lining and the other two from the knitted fabric....very challenging to sew with but I'm really pleased with how they all turned out.

That's all from me for this week.  I will do my best to visit all I can but for some reason, known only to Mr Blogger, I have been unable to leave comments on some of the blogs I've visited.
Hugs,
Annie x

Happy WOYWW. I love all of your wonderful memory items, but those last 3 bears are just perfect. You are very clever. Buttons - I used to have a jar full, but never used them, so they were donated to a local craft group. Ali x #12

Glad all in looking good for Theo's recovery, i'm sure you will find things to occupy him sat down. I use buttons quite a lot in my art work. Maybe you can graduate the sizes and turn them into little Christmas tree to make hanging ornaments or add them to tags Annie, i'm sure you will come up with something. The jumper cushion is amazing and so are those neutral bears, there will me smiles for many many more years to come from their families.

Good boy Theo, you’ll soon be back out playing properly.
Somewhere Annie I may have a photo of a heart made from button stitched onto a hooped canvas. They make lovely presents. I’ll send you a pic once I find it

It’s amazing how quickly kids heal! Good luck with trying to keep him still tomorrow….. Lovely little bears, you have patience to make them, I know they’d be flung out of the window in temper if it was me, lol!! Good luck with finding a use for the buttons, I guess charity shops would always be grateful.

I'm so glad Theo is recovering well. I love your memory cushion made from the jumper - it's so stylish and cleverly designed and such a wonderful keepsake. All your little bears are adorable too, the beige ones look so good in that knitted fabric. I hope you find a use for the buttons, even using mine in crafting I'm still left with more than I'll ever use in a lifetime!
Have a great week,

Blogger hasn't been kind to me, either. Those tiny bears are precious. I use my buttons in mixed media, but I bet you could use yours in your felting projects. Happy WOYWW from #2.

Hi Annie, I loved the little bears before but they are even better today. The cushion is gorgeous and teddies too. The buttons look interesting. I use them to decorate cards and bags and sometimes my 3D shrines. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x18x

Glad to hear Theo's on the mend. Poor kiddo, such a trooper! Love the mini teds, regular teds and the memory cushion. I guess with the memory cushion, you could put the sleeves around you, kind of like a virtual hug. Just saw the doggies with the towels over their heads in your previous post - how cute are they? Have a lovely week, Annie! xx zsuzsa #22

Hello Annie. Glad Theo is improving. Love the little bears and the cushion is super.
The three teddies hold a special place in my heart, as does the owner of the cardigan. You have done a wonderful job ( as always) I cannot wait to see them in person. Hugs Anne x 29

Love your memory bears! They turned out really well even with the challenging fabric, very cool. No thoughts for the buttons other than to sew them all onto something like a cushion so the whole thing is covered in buttons? Happy WOYWW! Elle #24, EOTC

SUch fabulous memory bears Annie and I particularly love the cushion. I have boxes of buttons too - I sometimes use them on a card to add texture - tou could glue green ones into the shape of a Christmas tree for Christmas cards. Hope Theo continues to heal well. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

You are so busy with Memory Bears and Cushions as usual but you still managed to find time to spend with the little wounded soldier.
Good news that he is healing well - what a brave little soldier he was.

Your latest memory bears are fantastic, Annie. I can see that the knitted fabric would be a challenge to work with, but you've done a brilliant job and the finish is a triumph. What a smart little trio they are! The memory cushion is also quite amazing. I can see that a huge amount of warmth and good feelings flow both ways between you and the recipients of these amazing creations - being able to bless people in the way you do. What a gift.

No idea of what to do with the buttons - eyes for memory bears?

I am glad little Theo is on the mend. It's hard for a little boy to be inactive - they are energy factories!

Happy WOYWW,

Thanks for the visit, We took 2 days away, so getting back to playing catch up. Some great photos Annie, mother use to make those tiny bears. She loved using scraps. Love your Memory cushion. Great idea, I have several of Dad's sweaters, so maybe I can try this. As for buttons, I've seen cute ideas on pinterest, long legs/arms on little bodies. Buttons are fascinating, I've a few books on history of them. If I see ideas I'll send to you. Enjoy a good weekend.

Loving your memory cushion and bears this week - they look very cuddly which is perfect. I inherited Gran's button box (although Alex has claimed it now) but like you, I'm never sure what to do with them all! Sorry I'm so late this week - it's chaos here as usual! Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#15)
