This week's smiles....week 430

Another week has passed and I have more smiles to share with you.

There was lots of fun at the weekend with the family.  We were all excited to watch England playing in the footy finals against Italy....we didn't win sadly but our team really did us proud by getting that far and hopefully next time.......

Lulu and Steve had their school's sports day [Lulu's last one before she moves on to Secondary school] and, as you can see from their badges they both did really well.

It was our last week to have Theo before the school holidays and of course he starts school in September so it's the end of an era for us.  As the song goes....'One more step along the road he goes'.  We made the best of the time we had and had a picnic lunch at Ellesmere Lakes and then fed the ducks....thankfully we had taken a big bag of duck food with us cos there were an awful lot of hungry ducks, geese, swans and even a few pigeons there.

In the afternoon we went for a ride on the Sabrina boat on the River Severn.

He's adapted well to coping to life with an arm in plaster and had more x-rays on Monday...the Drs are very pleased with how it's healing thankfully.

That's all the photos I have to share with you this week.  Please leave me a little message so I know you've called by and link to your own smiles below.

Hugs,

Annie x

I personally thought England got cheated in the soccer final, but that was because I was rooting for them. It's been a big week of sports with Wimbledon, soccer, and Le Tour de France. Then there is basketball finals in the states, my favorite sport. I've had no time for any of it, unfortunately. Just got to see bits of each.

The grands are really doing well and good going for Steve and Lulu. Theo is SO grown up and doing well in his cast. Hope you have a great weekend. I'll be around later to visit everyone.

I do think Theo looks like his grandad on that photo of them together. Well done to the sporty ones. They’ll be getting ready for their school break now, let’s hope the weather is kind to everyone over the next few weeks.
Enjoy your trip out in the camper next week Annie.

Yes, school is breaking up and the summer holiday begins. Steve and Lulu have done well getting so many badges.
Theo deserves a badge as well as he is coping so well with his cast. Bless him.
I didn't see the football but of course have read about it. In the end it was a penalty shoot out which means both teams were equally good really. Just a shame England lost that 'lottery'.
Are you going away in your motorhome? Have a wonderful time!
Hugs,
Lisca

That is a happy week. Chris enjoyed the footie too but I sat oiutside with my Kindle and read in peace!
Sam is very athletic and Lulu did well too. They are just good 'all-rounders' in that family.
We have had plenty of enjoyable sessions at Ellesmere Lake, but one day I was preparing our picnic in the back of our estate car and a quite aggressive swan came and took it, and I was a bit wary of them after that.
Make sure you get some photos of yourself with little Theo before he reaches this next milestone. I know, you are the one holding the camera, so there are plenty of him with Hubby, but one day he will ask to see ones of you with him!
Children here have already started their summer break. They have quite a long time off but they are given some pretty intensive work to do at home during that time. I hope the next school year will be a much smoother run for all of them. Kate x

Hi Annie, I am here. Walked the dogs then just had time to log in before going to the hairdressers but back now. Looks like you've had a good week.Good to see Theo managing okay with his plaster. I'm not a lover of football but I'm with you that they did well to get so far. Wishing you a lovely weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx

Yes, they did do well to get where they got and we are all proud of the team, just a shame things marred the match afterwards but hey ho I really think there are people out there who do things like that for a living! (meaning cause trouble the whole time)
Are they the twins in the top photo? If so my how grown up are they now. Congrats to the other two sporty grandees and gentle hugs to young Theo with his broken arm.
Hugs, Neet xx
