WOYWW.....

Oh where do these week's go?  Time really does go quicker as you get older doesn't it?  Here we are at our Wednesday catch up of the creative spaces again so I'd better get sharing mine....

I have been busy making more Memory bears this week.  This one is made in Memory of a much loved husband.  I've used his silk ties to make him and I love how he's turned out don't you?

I was then brought some fluffy dressing gowns to make 3 more bears in memory of a much loved Mum, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.......

I ended up wearing rather a lot of the bears before I finished them all.....I do get in a mess many days and I certainly make a lot of dust with my job.

I did manage to make three rather gorgeous bears using the dressing gowns that I'm sure will be much loved by all....they give such comfort to grieving folk.

Once the work was done I then pulled out my boxes of fabrics to make a few bags to go to Margaret for her charity.....I was given a large piece of green brushed denim many years ago and I decided it was perfect to make strong school bags so I found enough brighter fabrics to line each bag differently and then top stitched each one to strengthen it in matching colours.

I've made 10 bags so far but may well make a few more if I get time before sending them on to Margaret.

That's all from me for this week.  I hope you have enjoyed your visit.  If you leave me a little message so I know you've called in I will do my best to pay you a return visit.  Hope you all have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x

Bears are beautiful, Annie. I love the wee bags and as you know, I have just taught myself to make lined bags. I recognise that lining at the left hand side-my friend and I have just shared the party fabric to make wine hlass holders! Hope you also get some fun sewing time this week.

WOW....you do keep busy. Those bags are lovely. Good use of a lot of fabric. Precious little bears again too. That's quite a popular and great idea.
Have a great week..I love seeing your bright yellow flowers. Hopefully soon for here.

Happy WOYWW. Such lovely bears - and your bags look very strong/neat. I actually bought some fabric from Create & Craft this week (it has Jack Russells on it and in their sale, so I couldn't turn that down), so eventually I will get my little sewing machine out and try to make something. Ali x #12

Hi Annie, yes, I love our little community on here, everyone is always a joy to visit. Generally, I have to say I haven't met an unpleasant crafter yet, even on FB, but I have heard stories from others, lol. Love seeing all your makes, and laughing at you covered in all that fluff! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxX

The fluff covered front made me hoot! I look down at myself and always seem to be covered in threads...sigh...I'm never going to be a neat and tidy crafter :-D. Love the bags, the different linings/topstitching make them look so individual - great idea!

Hi Annie, I had to chuckle at the mess you got in making those bears. The same thing happened to the lady who sits next to me at the quilting class last Thursday as she snipped away at the bags she was making ... what a mess! I think the mess was worth it for both her and you, your teddies are gorgeous. Great work with the bags too. Oh, and I did have a lovely time with my sister, thanks. Have a great week. How lovely it must feel to know you are giving comfort in times of sorrow.
I like the bags you made, the green is perfect for the outside (love khaki and olive and it seems similar) and those bright linings make them look rather special.
Hugs, & thanks for visiting me, Neet 3
