WOYWW....

Hello all my lovely blogging friends.  Here we are at yet another Wednesday show and tell day.  My post today comes with a health warning and a warning for the squeamish further down the page.

First I'd like to introduce you to my latest creation....

Meet my new design for a  Memory friend.  I have designed a little rabbit this time and have put him up for an Easter draw for my followers on my Facebook Page so if you'd like to be in with a chance to win him then please pop over and join in the fun.....good luck folks.

Confession time.....Jo and I had an afternoon together on Saturday while the men were at the football match and we popped into our favourite fabric shop in Shrewsbury [in fact it's the only one really!] and this gorgeous material just stuck to me like a magnet....it would have been rude not to pay for it before leaving the shop.

Here's my desk in all it's glory today....I'm busy making some ATCs for the up and coming 9th anniversary swap for WOYWW...but I've hidden them from view cos I'm a tease.
If anyone wants to swap with me then please send me your postal details to wipso2310@gmail.com
nb this could well be a new email address to you so take note.

Now for the health warning....please look away now if you're squeamish.

NEVER under any circumstances get your finger under the needle when you are using a sewing machine!!!

I have always been very proud of the fact that in all the years of sewing I have never caught my finger under my sewing machine....that is until last Friday!!!
What a funny experience that was!!....I felt really sick and nearly fainted and it's not something I plan to do again in a hurry.....I will add it looks far worse than it is and is  healing well now, if still a little tender, but it amazed me just how many things I do in a day uses that finger....ouch!!

There you go that's all from me for today.  If you leave me a little comment to let me know you've called in I will do my best to pay you a return visit as soon as I'm able.  Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x

Oh Annie, what a terrible experience that finger accident must have been. Can understand you feeling faint. Hope it heals quickly for you. Sending a gentle get better kiss to it.
Lovely rabbit, what a good idea and thanks for the heads up about atc's - me please. Wouldn't be the same without yours in the pot.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Ugh I see what you mean now about your finger. No wonder you felt sick.
The rabbit design is beautiful and just right for this time of year.
Now be careful missus we don’t want spots of blood spoiling those lovely fabrics.

Ouch Annie, hope your finger is fully recovered soon. I have emailed you my address so make sure that you send me yours too. I'm glad you're not a shop lifter. You did the right thing paying for that fabric before you took it home lol. Happy WOYWW Sarah #7

Oh blinking heck that looks sore! It's in such an awkward place too and I bet you keep catching it on stuff as well. The new fabrics are absolutely gorgeous, but be careful you don't bleed on them while you're stroking them!
Take care, lovely girl,

I was always told you aren't a professional sewer until you machine your finger.Ani#6

Ouch..that and a fish hook are terrible. However Bailey just jabbed my pinky with his back paw claw and it bled hard and burns. He did not want to be held.
No treats for him today. Pretty colors for your bunny and new purchases Happy week ahead.

I'm not squeamish but that did make me wince, the thought of your finger under the machine needle. Hope it heals well. Those fabrics are beautiful.

Oh Annie, how horrible for you! It does look the sort of thing to make anyone feel a bit queasy when it happens. I managed to slice into the side of my thumb with a bread knife the other day, but that was just me being downright clumsy, lol. I'll be up for an ATC swap, I need to make a start, I have an idea or two, I think! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxX

Ouch, indeed, Annie! Glad to hear your finger is healing nicely now - I can well imagine the shock you must have felt at the time. That cuddly rabbit is gorgeous - very pretty fabric. And talking of fabric, how naughty are you ...

You're making me feel guilty as I haven't even started to think about the ATCs yet - despite your timely reminders :) I'll think about after the Easter weekend is over.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend. Hugs, Ellie x #28

Hello Annie and thanks for popping by. I have of course already seen that finger lol - ouch again and I felt 'funny' all over again :-) The fabric that 'stuck to you' is fabulous. Love it. Have a good week. Anne x #17

I did this about 5 years ago Annie and list my nail eventually. It grew back but it was a nuisance. Do wish all you folks would stop tempting me with lovely fabrics-Pam was at it this week as well. Have a great time using the fabric.

awesome post Annie! Love the bunny! I feel for you and the sewing needle incident. I impaled my thumb on mine years ago and even managed to get it through the finger nail..OUCH! Like you I felt really sick and couldn't pull the needle out myself...silly me! Glad to hear you are having a better week! ...I am late getting around as usual! Vickie #39
