Hello to all my wonderful blogging friends who call by every Wednesday to catch up on the events of my week.
I finished the top you saw that I had started last week and here it is...
I've pin tucked in the middle of the sleeve and used the same machine embroidery to embellish it with and finished all the hems...I'm rather pleased with it too :-)
Yesterday was my first 'twin free' Tuesday due to the school holidays and my shop was shut so I was able to choose something for me to 'play ' with.
On my desk today is the latest top I'm working on. I rather like the random colours in this fabric and chose blue to do the machine embroidery in as this colour runs throughout. It's looking good so far and hopefully I will be able to get it finished a little later this week in between my customers sewing. :-)
The other quick snap I'd like to share with you this week is what's on my kitchen work desk
Salmon, broccoli and blue cheese quiche. It smells wonderful and I'm happy to share it.
.....it's just out of the oven so if you're going to help yourself to a slice please mind you don't burn your fingers. :-)
It's short and sweet from me for this week. Hope you have enjoyed seeing what I've been up to and leave me a little comment. I will pop by to say hello as soon as I'm able. Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x

That's so fresh and pretty. Perfect for this sweltering weather we've been having. I'm getting a bit of a head start with the unexpected posting time!
Fiona x #16 (yes, really!)
Your top looks lovely. I'd love a slice of quiche - pity you don't live nearby as I'm looking for someone to use up some eggs - our chickens seem to be enjoying this warm weather and are laying even better than they normally do!

Hi Annie
your white top looks beautiful and just the sort of thing to wear in this hot weather. Your sewing skills are amazing and then you have the very colourful pieces that looks stunning, that will be able to be worn with so many things.
Sending hugs for WOYWW and hope you enjoy the rest of your week

Nice for you to have some time to do what you want to do Annie, without the business work and the twins. I know you LOVE your sweet little grandbabies but a day to yourself must be like gold dust! I had salmon for tea tonight so I won't take any quiche as I'm full but it looks delish!
Hugs

Hi Annie! You have a lot of great projects this week. The quiche looks delicious and I'm sure it was filling AND healthy as well! I like the top you're starting on, too! patsy
Happy WOYWW. I wish I could sew like you. I am planning to attempt to make some cushion covers soon with my sewing machine (which I have had for over a year and never used!), so wish me luck. Thanks for the quiche - a bit early for me, so put a slice to one side for later. Ali x # 68
ahhh...yummy looking quiche thank you for sharing with us! Love the tops you are making. I would love to have a free day soon and maybe I will and I might try to sew again. Hope you have a great week and Thanks for sharing. Vickie #71
Gorgeous colours in that top Annie. It's a bit different after working on the white one - which is also lovely by the way. Enjoy having a little bit of 'me time' while the twins are with their mum. I'm sure you will still see plenty of them. Kate x
I love the collages with captions - you will have to show me how you do those. The tops look much nicer in real life - even better when sylph-like Annie pops them on! x Jo
Lovely fabric Annie, really very much on my radar. I love a large scoop neck..other than that, your top is pretty much what I would wear everyday if I had the chance!
I hope you enjoyed your day free of the twins and the shop being closed You're home made quiche looks great

My word Annie, you are a busy bee - that quiche looks and smells good, I might have a piece later - just had my breakfast.

Hi Annie.
Thanks for the quiche!! Yummy.
That top is stunning - well done - and now you are having a go at another - I like the blue thread - is it a glittery one? It looks it in the photo.
Have a great week. You will miss the tweenies...but I'm sure you will find some excuse to see them.

I adore quiche. And this looks really delish.
Gotta love that fabric you've chosen for your next top. It would make a great background for altered art, too.
Happy WOYWW from # 41 who's not used to being in the middle of the pack (grin).
OMGoodness - the top is divine !!! I love the pin tucks with embroidery and the colours are gorgeous :-)

Hello Annie! It must have felt weird to be kid free--the key word would be FREE! Seems you enjoyed your day-and probably missed the wee ones terribly! Funny how that works.
Happy WOYWW!
