Life just ain't fair...

You will all know that the twins had chicken pox a few weeks back.

Well....

They have confused all medical staff by getting the chicken pox twice in a month!!!  Two Drs said it couldn't happen but Shell took them both to see the same Dr that confirmed it last time and he said he had never seen it before but they both have it again......and this time it is much worse.  Sam is covered.....he has them under his eyelid and his nappy area is so covered that you can't get a finger tip between the spots  :-(

Every picture tells a story  :-(

Poor Shell has been up all night with them both....Oh the joys of motherhood eh?

The poor twins. Not much fun o b e had getting it twice. These medical hichups can and do hapen. I caught measles and german measles both at the same time. The doctor said he had never seen and it couldn't happen but the different spots were there. Hope they get better very soon. Hugs Mrs A.

So sorry to hear that. It is no fun for any of you, but especially the twinnies. I remember my three youngest boys got it one after the other at fortnightly intervals, and each one was worse than the one before, so poor little Ben had the one where you couldn't put a pin between the spots. Hopefully your babes will have some anti-bodies to fight it off more quickly this time.
love to you all. Kate x

My little boy ended up with them on the whites of his eyes back in January, down his throat, in his mouth & on his tongue.. absolute nightmare time.. Life is SO unfair Annie, thats quite true.

Hoping they make a speedy recovery.xxxxxx

Poor little ones, at least it will be out of the way, as they say!

I found Lanes Tea tree and witch hazel cream to be much better than calamine (http://www.allnaturalhealthstore.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=750, I think my local Waitrose stock it so other supermarkets might too)

My daughter was a little older when she caught it and was able to tell us that the pink lotion was nice when it went on but itched worse as it dried. The Lanes stung a little when first used but reduced itching and spots cleared up faster.

Oh course it can happen...it did with my sons. One was four and the other 8 months at the time. There are different strains of chickenpox. Also, some people don't build up an immunity to it and can get it again. It's really bad if this happens when you are an adult.
